Top location as always, so much attention to the fine details, it all looked like it had been that way forever. Goldie is a fucking legend and a really nice bloke and so passionate about his art and genuinely wanted people to criticize/praise him as much as they wanted to.
For me, I think people look at it and say "Goldie jumping on the bandwagon...hmmmppph" but he's been doing this shit for years, even credited with being one of the people who exploded the US graf style over here in the early 80's. I loved it cos it wasnt the normal crowds that turn out to these things time and time again (i.e. you lot!)
Kevin Spacey turned up, as did Rhino from Gladiators, Jazzy B turned up to watch the lapdancer in the window and nick some of the chicken and a few beers and then buggered off when she was on her break.
Big thanks to Marshman for the chat, job well done for all your obvious hard work and effort, and to all the other tlsg staff of course.

yup, he did start out doing graf so its more of him coming full circle rather than a pete doherty 'shit art but people will buy it because he's famous and its done in blood so it's like well edgy n'stuff' thing.

It sure is. He is a blinding geezer. I have had the pleasure in helping out since this exhibitions conception with collecting and delivering almost all of the pieces either to/from printers or to the gallery once he had finished them.
I have not met such a nice bloke who is genuinely passionate about what he has been doing and who despite not really knowing me was extremely welcoming to the extent that at 1am or whatever time it was he came and gave my a hug to say thanks for all that hard work and fixing that I did.
There were a few other pieces such as the phone, the TV and the Porn o Plenty machine (which is where the free Goldie originals were for those of you who got their 50 cents).
This exhibition was never going to please everyone, but would we really want that?
Did anyone see the van outside with the Mary Lane EC69 sign on it and the graffiti? Goldie tagged it earlier in the day......oh I forgot to say its my van........... ;D

Just before I start the long task of copying the pics over I would like to congratulate, Goldie, TLSG and mostly Eddie Lock for putting on the best show I have attended. The Artwork was amazing and the quality of the artwork was outstanding! I did not really go with the intention of buying anything as I (like others) was looking forward to the new Micallef work and the ever elusive Banksy release! Anyway, couldn't help myself so I damaged the bank balance a little!!
Not sure but think just about everything sold on the night with original works ranging from ยฃ500.00 to ยฃ12,000.00
Photo's do not do the art justice, but here goes!!
Sorry bout that!!
