A flood of Gods, by sausageboonwee on Sept 24, 2007 19:53:50 GMT 1, I think there will be problems when people receive their prints and take a look before passing them on to their new owners. Some people are going to suddenly realise they have made a big mistake.

A flood of Gods, by jam on Sept 24, 2007 19:58:09 GMT 1, I am pretty amazed ebay does not step in and boot these auctions, as people are 'selling' pieces of art they do not own. I would be concerned about all the fraud as there is such a delay between the purchase/shipping time that it would likely be too late for anyone to file complaints by the time they realize the print isn't coming.

Absolutely. I would say that given the size of these prints there is even more chance of these getting damaged.

A flood of Gods, by ray on Sept 25, 2007 1:17:19 GMT 1, Sods law lol, that's priceless.
I collect coins and see it done all the time here in the states. The rule with Ebay is you have to deliver within 30 days (at least on Ebay US). Lots of people will buy a limited coin(s) from the US Mint and pre-sell them. If the price goes up when they get it in hand the excuses start, "oh, the Mint screwed me and I never got the coin so here's your money back". A week later the same seller will have the coin on Ebay at twice the price. I'd never buy anything from anyone unless it was in hand.

A flood of Gods, by finlee on Sept 25, 2007 7:50:09 GMT 1, I hope the print is delayed for a month or two. Obviously this would affect those of us that truly want the print but the people who have paid for their's on ebay and are waiting will get mighty peeved!!!!!

Hopefully he'll spend a few weeks in LA before coming back to sign them, teaching the flippers a lesson and messing up their auctions..

eBay is a capitalist and wouldn't do a damn thing to help us. Heck, they don't ban shill bidders since they make even more money when someone shill bids, so to make it sound like their "handling" the situation, they temporarily disable the shiller's account and let them come back in a couple days. Say no to eBay!

A flood of Gods, by bond on Sept 25, 2007 15:59:07 GMT 1, i'm happy to watch them cut prices . If there are this many on there now with no real idea as to when they'll get them god only knows how many more there will be when they get sent out.
My guess is that they'll drop to about ยฃ 500 and with the Laz prints not going for a hell of a lot more than they were sold for i hope the plan to flood the market works and the baggers decide it's not worth Q'ing for hours to make ยฃ 300 or so . Fingers crossed they avoid the next release whatever that is......

A flood of Gods, by RBK on Sept 25, 2007 16:09:17 GMT 1, I bet they don't fall below ยฃ600. And after this influx of sales - they will steadily increase.
Look at Flags as an example (proves an edition of 1000 vs. 500 doesn't make much of a difference if the image is strong - which GIWTBB is).

I agree 100%. Also need to consider this medium isn't as fragile as the Flag was so people will not be so worried about the condition variable as they do when factoring a price to pay for a Flag print. Also need to include the fact that the Micallef is HUGE!
