shames theres no print or opportunity to see eine's skills, we rarely get anything like this in Manchester so that would have been nice.

Eine at the Lowry gallery 2nd June - September , by Fuzzyduck121 on Jun 3, 2012 16:23:37 GMT 1, Just got back from taking a look around the eine installation, have to say it was pretty mindblowing.
Surprisingly there was nobody there at all on the second day after opening but sadly this isnt been promoted within the gallery itself let alone anywhere else. (no showcards/ brochures etc)
For those into eine fonts ive taken some closeups of the lettering as im not sure if any of them are new/different.
The colours were incredibly vibrant and the fact that the piece overlooks the new BBC communications centre in salford gave gravity to the way Ben portrays the words we speak daily in different and exciting ways.
Ben is an awesome artist but I wouldnt have him to decorate my house, the paint splatters were everywhere and in every colour!
More available if anyone wants just email me as I took lots.

I really like the installation!.. great to see Ben doing something slightly different, especially when it looks so sharp, bright, fresh, and poppy right away... the colors, the fonts, and the backgrounds are all spot on in my opinion... looking forward to seeing how far he can take this "new style"..

Totally agree! If this was in London it would be getting lots more exposure!
At least it's there for 3 months so lots of time to visit.

Nice surprises are good and Ben Frost (our favourite artist from Sydney) turning up today was a nice surprise. Â Unfortunately he didn't have the time to help us and we didn't have the time to go and party, so after a brief exchange he continued on his upwards journey. Â The news that tomorrow was to be our last day painting - and now we were going to have to work through the night - was not a nice surprise. Â Â At 10 'o clock the following morning we were hallucinating and fighting like a couple of pre-menstrual teenagers as team Lowry fumbled into work. Â The buzzer sounded, pots of paint and brushes were put down and our time was up. Â Cleaners arrived to make good our mess, photographers of high standards were called into action and Steph and I made a dash for the train station. Â Â
As soon as we get some good photographs of what we painted, we'll put them up on the site. Â Until then we'll put up some more of our photographs.

'The mess on the floor was all down to me - I am just messy. It's in my nature. I do try but when under the pressure that we were under on this particular painting it's just an impossible task for me to keep it clean. It annoys Ben immensely so please make sure that the forum readers are aware that it is not down to his lack of skills but rather his choice of assistant. It is bad enough for him to put up with me, let alone be blamed for my ineptitude. '
