Stik seven months of crap, by xmyart on Jul 5, 2012 19:10:57 GMT 1, Wondered if i should keep quiet and move on. But i dont seem to be able to resist!!
Got these BACK today. Bought at christmas, arrived wth a little damage.
After 5 nearly 6 months of wrangling, they went back to have this fixed, along with a couple of similar dinks around the edge.
HUGE job eh.
A week after it went up, it was ready to come back. I then waited a month for him to decide he could be available for the courier. He wouldnt let me take it up there or collect it for some unknown reason had to go by courier! Which had me shitting it!!
He then decided last week that he couldnt be bothered at all, and left it with his framer to be collected from there.
Flight logistics (thank fuck!!) Picked it up, and had to take it to their hub to be repacked as "it wasnt in a fit condition for transit"
I could go on and on and on about this as it was a total nightmare!! But will leave it with one last thing. At the start, he said it was unrepairable, that caused about 5 months delay, then he said it was and did it in a week.
So much stress hastle and pointless grief has been caused i decided you could all hear it.
To sum this up in pictures he will hopefully understand

I see the damage, but dont think i request it repaired. These are originals? Then it really doesnt mather imo. I would just document their arrival, and the pieces has more story.
If someone wounders about the damage, it would be a story to tell that STIK did it when making them(if that is the case).
Nice pieces anyway, enjoy them, they are originals

And i wouldnt be a right pain in the arse if someone paid me a load of money and got damaged goods!! Hence im telling the story. Its not an attack, its my experience with this purchase.
Edit just reread what you said. No it wasnt part of the process of making them.

If it was sold in 'artist condition' then you get what you bought.
Obviously you deserve much better service than you got...especially as this was sold in mint condition!

On the plus side xmyart the value of your pieces will have risen nicely in that time

Im not at all sure sure if they were scratched at the gallery even. The where they were part of this is very confused. rperry's yellow one AND my blue one went up at the time. For some reason these didnt. But i gave up on that explanation wen it became so obvious what the hold ups were. Defo 100% not the gallery from all the attempts i also made!!
Mrx Hell no!! my biggest purchase by a country mile!!!! And the worse experience by far!!!! Took something special to beat the Snub sticker sheet debacle, but i think he manage to double up on the delays!!!

Only thing is, i actually DONT want to see them on the wall right now so they have been packed and put away out of sight.
Animalart yep its a sky dish. WAS my favourite too. Kinda hope when i chill a bit i will get over it. They all looked great on the wall. Its not going to happen for now. They are locked in the cupboard like naughty children!! (thats a joke before someone calls social services!!)
