Any way on the subject of ink jets what happened to the release did your copier bugger up.

your copier is a Zhou which in my view make poor, cheap imitations.  

May be look for a better copier for the next release. At least then do a decent copy rather than this...

Maybe you and your mates would be better doing something original......that really seems to be the problem here. Look at your comments and the artists you name. Think there is a big difference in what they are doing to your paint by numbers of a great artist.

Its not vandalism I could understand and appreciate that.. It's just a poor copy, no content, no originality, poor execution, poor just poor.

What artist/piece did zhao 'steal' for this piece?

Let's talk about this yue minjun, and what zhao's doing ("poorly" or otherwise...)

Yue's quite interesting, one of the highest paid artist in China, seriously raking it. his smile is false, forced, oppressed, or artificial, manufactured - the illusion, with bright colours and high action poses. he is unhappy. the whole visual is political. shallow optimism. almost nervous at times.

zhao flip the smile around, silkscreened and dab paint with rough strokes. it's unfamiliar. the frown feels fake. the smile is still there. but it feels quite painful and smirking at the same time... weird.

i like yue's more. but zhao's about a few million pounds cheaper. haha

i was at art stage singapore and a 10cm x 10cm canvas of a closeup face was US$200k! nuts! maybe that's why zhao's version is frowning. how could the artist be sad? he's raking it in! he's saddness is fake.

i shoud ask him. (zhao, i mean.. i have no access to yue)

BTW, zhao has an awesome ai weiwei collection, including one original - freaking unfreakin believable...unfreaking believable.
