most art seems obvious after you've seen it the first time, but maybe it was something special the first time you see it.
I like it, but maybe is (accidentally?) too flippant to compare airliners with one of history's greatest ever mistakes, and so few people seem to be into 3D's work anyway.

I quite like a few pieces ("Splitting the Atom", "Peace At Last", 'No Surrender").

FS: 3D Del Naja Cruel Britannia at COST, by pookz on Jul 24, 2012 23:15:21 GMT 1, Thanks for your comments :-), I don't see much of 3D on here. When I first saw the print I thought it was a bit deeper than that - maybe saying that people are still immigrating to western society with expectations that are false in reality, leaving them working to the bone for little retribution. That would tie into the title a bit more
POW claim this A print as clever and insightful as it is brutal and offensive - the floorplan of infamous slave ship 'Brookes' superimposed onto the blueprints of a modern airliner. The result is an image that provokes questions about empire, global economics and international trade
which might be a bit far.
What is interesting is the printing technique: A cyanotype print (hand applied potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate used to create an actual authentic blueprint) on 310 gsm somerset paper. Framing behind glass is recommended as this print will fade in direct sunlight (however it can be regenerated to its original tone by temporarily placing in a dark place)
