Because there are only 9 of the Dolk made avaialable from an edition of 12, instead of the usual 250. Cost Price : This is cost price.
Geddes
Because his fan base has exploded these past 18 months and demand far outstrips supply. Early prints are increasingly hard to come by, hence rare. I waited 2 years to pick up Heat Death and at 1750 GBP was not cheap. I expect his Cosmonaut series to become more and more sought after as he abandones the theme to pursue other painterly themes and interests. Cost Price : $100 ?

Its small, but the quality is one of the best ive seen him do.
Dont know why, but my favorite(after red cosmonaut and redemption) is The street.
