Stockholm hotel?, by papilio on Aug 25, 2012 0:52:08 GMT 1, I need a hotel in Stockholm, and after random searching Google Maps I have come up with this: www.clarionsign.com/hotel.aspx
Anyone know if it is any good? If not, can you recommend something else, preferably not to far from this location?

Stockholm hotel?, by sharpster on Aug 25, 2012 1:12:33 GMT 1, cant tell you anything about this hotel in particular but been to this one 4 years ago on my trip to Stockholm
www.parkinn.com/hotel-stockholmsolna
its not in the center of Stockholm but in Solna which is just a few minutes by subway, the station is just around the corner
clean rooms, good breakfast, shopping mall nearby but nothing fancy of course compared to downtown hotels I guess but for 5 days I spent there it was ok enjoy ur time, great city, would love to go back

Stockholm hotel?, by Mateo Spain on Aug 25, 2012 6:43:17 GMT 1, Clarion Hotel Sign is smack back in the center of Stockholm and is an excellent hotel although I'm sure you already know it comes with a hefty price tag (as do most hotels in Stockholm.) Hope you have a nice time in Sweden's capital and the weather cooperates while you're there!

It looks like the rates is about the same, but I'll look in to it.

Hope you have a nice time in Sweden's capital and the weather cooperates while you're there! Smack bang in the center of Stockholm was what I was aiming for, and I noticed every hotel I could find were about the same price, give or take. Liked the look of this one, so it will probably be it.
Between which dates are you staying? How central do you want the hotel to be/ budget? Maybe I can help you out. I'm going towards the end of October, want hotel in the center, and don't really care all that about the price.

Used to be very friendly, good and cozy and they still have a very good rating at booking.com.

Stockholm hotel?, by stillborncrisps on Aug 26, 2012 2:06:22 GMT 1, Langholmen is a fun place to stay - a converted prison on its own island.
www.langholmen.com
The hostel rooms are actually the cells, with bunk beds. The hotel rooms are a bit more normal but still in the prison complex.
It's about 15 minute walk into town, I think...

Stockholm hotel?, by Neate Michael on Aug 30, 2012 7:38:43 GMT 1, Berns is great, met my ex wife there one new years eve! Friday and Saturday it has about four bars, live djs etc... You needn't venture far from your hotel, although make sure you have deep pockets, as beers are about £7, glass of wine £10 and cocktails, mixers, £10 upwards... Although that will be true of all the hotels mentioned.
The weather will be crappy at the end of October mind you, and it will be getting dark around 4.30pm...

Stockholm hotel?, by Shoot Again on Sept 11, 2012 8:09:33 GMT 1, I took my wife in Stockholm for the WE to celebrate her birthday and it's really a cute little city. Visited the Modern Museum there and quite liked the poster of the temporary Exhibition that is currently taking place ;-)

Stockholm hotel?, by Neate Michael on Sept 11, 2012 13:40:29 GMT 1, That is pretty much as warm as it got here this summer. Always feels a bit unfair living here, really cold winters, but dodgy summers... I won't be retiring here fo'sure.
