Just joined the forum, by frog on Sept 3, 2012 11:54:05 GMT 1, Had a slight interest in art for a while ( before watching Apprentice and Exit through the gift shop ) , but after purchasing a Not Dead Yet piece while on holiday, it sparked my interest some more.
While searching online it bought me to this forum, which i've been looking through for a couple of weeks before deciding that i should probably sign up.
Apart from the obvious, i didn't realise that there was so much out there, which can only be a downside for my wallet as i've seen a few bits that i'd never heard of, but am now thinking i woud like ;D
Also went up to the Mr Brainwash exhibition at the weekend. There was a lot there that i wouldn't spend money on, but overall thought it was a well put together show, which seemed to be drawing in a large range of people covering a wide range of ages ( but then maybe the free entry helped that  )
I may not post that much, as compared to most, my knowledge is right at the bottom, but it seems like the right place to find out about and appreciate a wide range of art and styles.
And hope this is the right place to post this. If not, then please feel free to stick it where it should be

We all have to start somewhere, and if you spend time reading and catching up on previous posts you'll soon get an understanding.
Just as in the wider world though, this place has its fair share of idiots and con-men.
But don't be afraid to ask for advice - the majority are helpful and honest.

From looking through that thread, the Insa Heart Chain, the Sweet Toof / cyclops piece and the art by Andy Council all got my attention, but wouldn't nessecarily all go in the same room together.
