Snake Oil Jug - Hand built stoneware clay with my own design silkscreened onto both sides:
Close up of the snakes:
Dark Queen of Hearts - Porcelain Hearts with a sweet metallic gold glaze accent integrated into painting:
The hearts before they were glued on, each has silk screened crown fired onto the surface:
Good Luck Charms I made for my last show - Stoneware clay with my own logo:

Collecting Pottery & Ceramics, by Wearology on Feb 17, 2013 17:29:05 GMT 1, The Wolf jugs are amazing. My family pet is a breed of dog called a Sibercaan which is a mixture of a Native American Indian Dog, Siberian Husky & a Wolf. I can tell you first hand that you nailed the look and feel of the Wolf's howl. Good luck with the sale of the mugs and your website is very informative and your prices are fair. Good Luck, Wear

Collecting Pottery & Ceramics, by Tompkins on Feb 17, 2013 18:06:41 GMT 1, I just finished up a new set of stoneware clay jugs - All hand built with hand silk screened glaze details fired right onto the surface of each piece. They are made to compliment my Snake Oil Jugs, I'm rather pleased with how they turned out! Howling Wolf Intense Dreaming Potion Thanks for having a look! - Rob Any forum members discount options ? I'd love one of each, whats shipping to the uk on these ?

Collecting Pottery & Ceramics, by Johnston America on Feb 17, 2013 18:08:50 GMT 1, Thanks so much for the positive comments, it means a lot to me! It took me several tries to get the glaze to behave the way I wanted to make it look like a night sky, but I finally got it.
These really are a labor of love, there is nothing better than having my hands in clay! (Unless they are covered with paint - almost as good!)
Thanks again! -Rob

Collecting Pottery & Ceramics, by Johnston America on Feb 17, 2013 18:44:01 GMT 1, Hi Speebe - It's actually a blend of 4 different types of glazes, though none of them are crystalline or ash.. The effect you see that looks like it could be either of those types is actually a glaze that is formulated to run a bit, which is a great way to achieve those swirling effects and blends that look like ash and crystals... All cone 6...
Good eye!

A great glaze, lovely depth to the colour... it fits the work well.

I did not know that. I have always loved his work, and as said in the article, assumed it was heaped in irony.

The delicacy of his chosen medium vs. the implications of his subject matter is a powerful juxtaposition.
