The KLF 2323 WORLD TOUR, by mojo on Nov 17, 2023 17:07:38 GMT 1, Went to the launch of 'KLF - 23 Seconds to Eternity' at the British Film Institute last night. Great to have seen it on the big screen, the sound was superb. It was quite difficult not to get up and dance through most of it. Wonderful. More details and link to get one HERE Ah amazing. I wonder if that will get a Belfast cinema release? Me and my family are off the Mumufication ceremony in Liverpool on the 23rd. I have no idea what to expect except bonkersness. Have a great weekend in Liverpool, if I go I'll come and say hello. Yes, definitely see it in a cinema if you can, Bill Butt the Producer/Director held a Q&A afterwards and many of the collaborators and dancers were in the audience.

Having worked in Charity shops I can totally relate to the ridiculous volume of donated/unwanted stock of them. Very tempted to get one. link

David Shrigley Tennis ball original screenprint???, by mojo on Oct 20, 2023 15:11:46 GMT 1, True....I guess its a bit like some of the works of Banksy (on the streets) we may indeed never come to know who the real artist behind the piece is. Exciting is'nt it? There were also a lot of other annonymous artists present during the making of these unsigned pieces. So who knows who made what of the different Saturday Night special prints??? Maybe even Banksy popped in with a balaclava and made this (he has worked with Shrigley before at Dismaland) PS if you guys study the videos of the opening of the Saturday night special show you will see a very mysterious clue on the poster hanging in the window that states: Which artists will not be at the show??? Cryptic and strange......Because I personally believe that they were then probably really present at the show/making of the different prints... The mystery deepens... I've read this twice and it made less sense the second time...what are you on about? The mystery is so deep its gone completely over my head. "Which artists will not be at the show???"....erm pretty much all of them apart from the ones in this show which by all accounts you won't ever know if they're who you think they are because the artists and gallery have chosen not to tell you for some bizarre reason. Perhaps this only makes sense to someone who'd rather have this "maybe Shrigley unsigned green splodge" rather than a Basquiat.

Banksy in Palestine 🇵🇸, by mojo on Oct 12, 2023 14:31:06 GMT 1, I really think this thread needs to be removed. @danielsilk I'm sure you didn't anticipate some of the more extremist views being expressed on here but quite frankly some of them are bordering on complete insanity and at the very least you could remove the option to comment on such a sensitive and complicated situation whilst innocent people are being murdered. The solution to this conflict, that has been ongoing for many years, is not going to be solved on UAA. Many forum members have visited Israel and Palestine and want nothing more than peace for all. Perhaps if you feel it necessary to comment on these atrocities go to a newspaper comments section, write to your MP, join a likeminded group, make art about it but endorsing murder of anyone is unacceptable and grotesque.

Banksy in Palestine 🇵🇸, by mojo on Oct 10, 2023 18:41:25 GMT 1, I have to say, as other forum members already have, that this thread and title is in very poor taste, it's not a football match! Thousands of people are currently being murdered, to be speculating on when or if a Palestinian Hotel owning Artist will be releasing a print or making a 'statement' on this extreamly dangerous situation is just very insensistive and crass.
This is also very disturbing. link

Banksy Street Art "Another World is Possible", by mojo on Oct 9, 2023 15:00:12 GMT 1, Looks like they had to cut & run before they got to the detail on the faces? It's not the most discreet place do a large grafitti piece and it might have been a bit windy.

Banksy Street Art "Another World is Possible", by mojo on Oct 8, 2023 23:49:50 GMT 1, Another world may very well be possible if you don't mind a machine shaping your world and decisions for you...or the people that programme said machines?
Immediately made me think of this.

Monkey Queen Raffle, by mojo on Oct 1, 2023 11:54:29 GMT 1, charity is fine it’s for profit raffles without competition aspect that are illegal in UK But it’s very rarely enforced loads get away with it! They aren't all for charity. I'm sure there's a loophole. E.g. buying a ticket to 'win' a drink at events without an alcohol licence. That wouldn't work. I remember the good old days of 'winning a drink of your choice' for the cost of a raffle ticket at pop up parties/raves. In fact if my memory serves me well that's how the bar at Santa's Ghetto was run.

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by mojo on Sept 11, 2023 9:54:47 GMT 1, jsub321 did say they indeed worked security - came across 100-200 stickers and shared photos of wristbands and the earring. Yeah, I have no reason to doubt they were working on the event and used their access to the merch so they could make some extra Christmas money. From their completed listings, looks like they made an extra couple of thousand, not including ebay fees. If they were hoping for a bonus gift print, whether it'll make a difference or not, they might've been wiser to keep their head down a bit. Didn't realise it was that much!

Banksy Show • Cut & Run • Glasgow , by mojo on Sept 11, 2023 9:52:44 GMT 1, Give em a break, they had to stay upright on their feet for at least 10 hours a day were friendly and helpful to visitors, took polaroid's and generally kept the show running. So what if they take a few stickers (a few not hundreds) There weren't any on the day I went but I certainly didn't get upset...didn't even register. Surely they deserve a few sticker 'perks'?

Recommended Art Books, by mojo on Sept 11, 2023 9:05:57 GMT 1, I’ve preordered this Chemical Brothers book which is officially released on 26th October 2023. They’ve always had iconic album/single covers designed by Kate Gibb so this will be one of those music books that makes it into the art bookcase. This special edition is limited to 1,500 copies and comes with a hard slipcase, unique cover and a Kate Gibb risograph print (printed by Calvert’s London). Also, if you preorder from Rough Trade there are exclusive postcards. www.roughtrade.com/gb/product/the-chemical-brothers-with-robin-turner/paused-in-cosmic-reflectionLast month, there was a deluxe edition of 500 copies from White Rabbit with a bonus Kate Gibb print but I missed out on that version. Will definitely be getting this, love Kate Gibbs work...and the Chemical Brothers. I have the 'Dancing Gals' original on my wall from 2000.

Paul Insect - Super Glow SWAP SHOP - CLOSED, by mojo on Sept 4, 2023 17:04:35 GMT 1, Yes that home made crochet thing is the first prize for me, from far ! Original, hard working, funny, she or he don’t had to offering rare pieces from the attic, nor gifts from the past, nor pricey gifts etc ( for or from lucky people with a easy life ). The video and the pics are great too ( the crochet). As the pic from Drip ! I juste did not understood the speciality or interest of these spoons.. 🥄 Who is Kyle/owl etc .. I’m an old one here but I can’t see who he is. I just « hate « (all is relative, I don’t care in fact) multiple accounts, it’s for cowards. Uri Geller has a very strange appeal about him. Some might say it's almost magnetic. I worked at a convention once that he was attending, and watched over an entire weekend as folk, hundreds of them, if not thousands, queued with various items from their cutlery drawers so they could get spoons and forks signed by the man. He was very popular. Turned up in a car covered in bent cutlery. Be terrifying if you didn't know what it was. I briefly met him and he seemed very nice, but you can never really tell, eh? Anyway that same weekend I also met the actress Ingrid Pitt, and she would *not* leave me and my colleagues alone. She harassed us all weekend. Everywhere I stepped, there was Ingrid Pitt. During a lull in proceedings, she asked whether I thought she should stand on a table and sing an old Hungarian folk song (there are no new ones). I told her no, but that didn't stop her. She was absolutely lovely, a delight, but at one point I did think I was going to have to use a fire extinguisher on her. In her defence, her standing on the table and singing *did* get people to come over. Concerned people, mostly. I only mention her because my colleagues and I were all joking about Uri Geller and at one point I noticed my watch had stopped working. We put it down to either when I shook Uri Geller's hand or the hours I'd spent too close to Ingrid Pitt. At the end of the weekend, we'd loaded the van up, and as we pulled away to leave, who should step out, right in front of our van - Ingrid bloody Pitt. We almost killed her. She just wanted to say goodbye and hug us. She was lovely. Anyway, I remember saying to my colleagues, if we could just leave the arena without running over a film actress, that would be great. She was very intense. When we stopped at the motorway services, I checked the back, as well as the roof of the van, to make sure she wasn't there. Anyway, yeah, Uri Geller - very popular with certain folk. Bendy Fork Folk & the Queen of the Horrors!

Paul Insect - Super Glow SWAP SHOP - CLOSED, by mojo on Sept 2, 2023 13:06:09 GMT 1, Upping my game!
Glastonbury 2015 tote bag rammed full of spent laughing gas canisters accompanied by a plastic silver light up pistol (inc.sound) and a little tiny pair of pink Adidas trainers without laces. Local, can deliver These are called Brick Slips, I have 3 boxes of them. They are basically slices of brick that you can use like tiles. Each brick measures approx 26x7cm.
I would be happy to combine these with my first offer (above).
I can also add 10 hours of my actual life to paint tiny dots on canvas or general artist assistance. (It's ok I'm not a stalker, you already know me).
