Conor Harrington Triptych - Framed (price reduction), by docean on Oct 11, 2017 2:49:07 GMT 1, I think my reading comprehension is fine, thank you. Please explain to me how my math is incorrect? Also, there are plenty of people who posted before me saying the price is fair, so I think you're the only one trolling here. your obsessed with maths, and ego. Not for me. Let's pick this up another time. Maybe
You’re*
Evidently your grammar is about as good as your arithmetic.
Just because you’re butthurt that you can’t afford it doesn’t mean you have to knock a very fair thread and the people who have been so kind as to correct your mistakes.
OP going to PM you on GYG.

Conor Harrington Triptych - Framed (price reduction), by docean on Sept 27, 2017 20:57:11 GMT 1, 3 prints = ~£2100 set retail would indicate this is ~3.5x....not sure how you got 10x. Pricing seems fair to me. This site is just full of people hyping their own prints. What a waste of time
Mine is happily framed up on the wall (check other threads for proof) I have no need to hype.
Buy a calculator and I'll wait for my apology.

Conor Harrington Triptych - Framed (price reduction), by docean on Sept 27, 2017 19:30:00 GMT 1, i will never understand the trouble people go through to get all this art framed only to turn around and sell it right away. these CH prints... there was the recent RVE invader framed for sale. just seems odd to immediately want to put money into framing for a semi-permanent place on the wall and then change your mind so soon. either way, GLWTS. If you compare the recent sales price to the asking price. It makes sense. Didn't they all sell at £600-700 in the last year primary. Who's going to pay 10xs that?

New Harrington print, by docean on Sept 21, 2017 17:51:03 GMT 1, Considering people pay $10k+ for Fight Club (gold leaf giclee edition of 45) I'd say these are a hell of a bargain. I think I'd pay just to see 10 framed up together Lol that's funny.
If you don't believe me go try to buy a Fight Club and tell me how that goes

Invader Aladdin Sane Print, by docean on Sept 18, 2017 14:59:08 GMT 1, lol I love all of the self righteous anti investors on here. Whether you like it or not, art is a commodity like anything else. It will forever be bought and sold with value in mind. It sucks paying inflated values but for every time I have resold art to make money (as you're doing now) I have also paid hyper inflated resale because I want something. That's life. It's fantastic to love it, and that's why it adorns my walls rather than all in a drawer, (framing really kills margins!) but this notion of meeting at a framers to try to prevent resale is preposterous. If I lived anywhere near you I'd meet there, collect my discount, have it thrown in a cheap white frame for $200 and take it out the next day out of principal alone The irony is that yours is easily the most self righteous post so far in this thread.
I think you need a dictionary mate

Prints of prints, by docean on Sept 11, 2017 8:35:10 GMT 1, Report it. I've found that regular reports on eBay don't do anything, you actually have to call.
I reported a guy for selling fake Harlands about 10 times and eBay ignored me. Finally called them and he got the listings deleted.

Daniel Arsham 🇺🇸 New York • Eroded Future Relic, by docean on Sept 9, 2017 23:28:23 GMT 1, Absolute rubbish imho - sell for cost and get your money back whilst you can....
Comments like this are absolute rubbish imho.
Do you know anything about the guy? why he makes the pieces he does?
I think Arsham has an incredible story. His home destroyed as a kid during hurricane Andrew in FL. Seeing that destruction led him to view the world in a different way, seeing things as they once will be, not as they are now. Making the audience remember that even material possessions aren't as permanent as we regard them to be.
In addition to all of that he's colorblind, so his work tends to stay in grey scale. (with the help of newly designed glasses) he was able to see color recently and while he loves it, he finds it almost distracting, so doesn't wear the glasses often, nor make many works of color.

Daniel Arsham 🇺🇸 New York • Eroded Future Relic, by docean on Sept 9, 2017 1:46:45 GMT 1, Ebay is flooded with his art. Does anyone actually buy this to display? I saw maybe 4/500 on there. Compared to any Fairey, Mr Brainwash, Whatson, Invader, etc. release that's a pretty low percentage.
Arsham has a pretty loyal following and I think the majority of people who buy the work display it. It's a cool concept. Not to mention he's huge with celebrities, that in itself brings a lot of attention to it and gets people collecting.

Conor Harrington - Hide and Seek, by docean on Sept 7, 2017 2:38:44 GMT 1, I just paid over 2k for Transformer, I don't know why everyone thinks the price is unreasonable. Heck if some of the big name auctions next week didn't look so appetizing I'd probably spring for this too.
