Shipping advice from Norway, by Flashback on Apr 29, 2017 1:18:08 GMT 1, There's a few members on here from Norway.
I would change the thread title asking for help from a member from Norway.
If someone responds and agrees, ask the seller to post to them and then ship to you.
Get insurance both ways though obviously.

Invader LED Print, by Flashback on Apr 28, 2017 23:23:24 GMT 1, Personally can see these being ยฃ1500 the only reason for the delay is waiting for the price to go up. these were signed ages ago.ย Source? Never known a board like this that year on year people relentlessly claim to be ITK but so rarely back up their statements with anything. 9 times out of 10 it turns out to be bullish!t. My guess is this will be around ยฃ475.
I would think it will be dearer but not too much more.
ยฃ6-700 but...with about 30-50% being kept back from sale to capatalise on the Invader price hike at a later date.

Ai Weiwei Skate Decks, by Flashback on Apr 27, 2017 20:49:10 GMT 1, Total edition is 666, and the first 66 come with a signed COA. Coa signed, but not the decks? If so, that's a shame. A coa being signed is not the same as the artwork being signed, to my mind. For logistical reasons perhaps? When they are getting $198,000 for the signed decks alone I would expect them to pay for a plane ticket for him to go and sign them in person.

Pejac โข Linea Print, by Flashback on Apr 24, 2017 15:17:37 GMT 1, How does cutting the edition size make sure it lands in collectors hands? All of his prints have been sold on the secondary market, but with a larger edition it seems as if a lot more are being sold. Raising the price and putting more money in the artists pocket is one thing, but cutting the edition will only make it harder for people to secure a print. max could allocate to the collectors first, then open sale of the remaining prints for the flippers... as I said, how often is sepukku offered for sale on here? slim to none because the collectors and real fans keep it. Sorry to open this messy thread back up but thought you made a good point.
The real collectors and fans ARE keeping them.
Max could offer the new print to those first with photo or video dated proof (e.g. include that days local newspaper or a word of Max's choosing in the image) before they can purchase, to show they still have the last print for at least a year or 2 in order for them to be able to buy the new one...if they like the image that is.
Anyone who doesn't still have the previous one misses out on the presale option for that print and has to try his or her luck with the rest of the people trying on release day.
If they want to sell the print at a later date (people do occasionally change their mind on an image) then in order to keep their place in the presale then they have to give Max first option on passing the print on to a fan of his choosing at cost price + true shipping cost.
If this happened then a lot of the prints might be getting in the right hands without people having to overpay.
Max should be remunerated for the hassle obviously:)

Pejac Print, Original, WANTED, by Flashback on Apr 24, 2017 13:09:14 GMT 1, Haden't seen this one before! Thanks. ... It is originally from his show in London last year, as are the others, very nice This is actually the least appealing piece to me that's he's done. But only because I don't like football! Otherwise it works very well.

Pejac Print, Original, WANTED, by Flashback on Apr 24, 2017 13:06:49 GMT 1, Look at the wall you want to hang the art on, work out what it consists of (brick, plaster, concrete etc). Go to a hardware store and find the appropriate hooks and screws/nails. Failing that google 'hanging heavy art'. Good advise!
I have a friend who frames and hangs everything for a museum (he only mentioned it last month!) but he's on holiday at the moment and my messages aren't going through to him, so thought I would ask here:)

Pejac Print, Original, WANTED, by Flashback on Apr 24, 2017 13:04:14 GMT 1, So close to having the big one up on the wall! The others will be up soon too:) The largest regrettably is still in a crate since the show last year as we wanted to get a new place and redecorate first. All ready now, so got it out of storage on Friday to put it up then realised I needed to work out how to hang it! Went to a place called Cassart and the lady I spoke to said they don't sell anything for hanging! Weird for an art shop I thought?!? She's an artist herself and she said it's really hard to find anything like that in Glasgow:( Can anyone advise how to hang a large canvas 195cm x 115cm please? I'll put pics up this week of it in situ once it's finally up:) The ยฃ50,000 quoted was for Meadow alone as it's 100% his most recognisable and loved piece. In a great home and 2bh I would think that figure will be way north of that price in years to come:) To me he's head and shoulders above any artist out there:) Probably not the best advice I'll ever give but pretty much everything we have on the walls hangs on nails. That includes a 150 x 150 piece. Only one of the Pejac pieces hangs on something slightly more industrial due to its weight. I'm sure I ought use something that protects the art more but I get that excited about hanging them that I never have the patience to get the drill out, or find a more suitable hanging method. Thanks. I had thought of doing that but wasn't sure if it would support it as it's so large. i might just stick a few in for extra support and hope for the best!

Pejac Artwork, VALUATION, by Flashback on Apr 24, 2017 12:59:24 GMT 1, I would say it only looks like that because a few folk overpaid. FR pointed one out nearly a month ago at a gallery in Sweden for about ยฃ1100 + shipping + customs fees that was available up until at least a few days ago. Sure it will be that price eventually but doubling in price in a few months was a bit of a jump! Think that one was sold before i even said it, website was just not updated Ah I wondered why it stuck around so long. I checked a few times including last week and it was still up. Bit like the Seppuku that everybody bought that was sold out years ago

Pejac Artwork, VALUATION, by Flashback on Apr 24, 2017 12:57:28 GMT 1, I agree the price shot up in the past couple of months but two were sold at ยฃ1500 and I have been offered more than that (i dont even have one! Haha). They've just dried up and demand still exists. ON THAT NOTE...after a Meadow HF or standard. Please get in touch. I own Wound and I think it's his second best print, (it's fantastic in the flesh!) and really wanted the OG too but alas went to another home but I still wouldn't say that it's quite at that price yet. It will be soon though!
#Owner in realistic/undervaluing art price shocker!

Maybe in 6 months time I might after hearing how others got on! After buyer's premium and shipping it was also way overpriced. Think I would rather put my moneyย towards another Pejac original than buy Meadow at that inflated price now:) Wooooh, another?? Care to share a pic of your original. Would love to see it

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by Flashback on Apr 22, 2017 11:03:37 GMT 1, It's their job to pack professionally like any online business. I've bought prints (albeit without extra added insurance) from the US and worked out the shipping options myself for the seller, and had them ship US to UK for something like $33. Usual artist or gallery shipping costs for prints is $50 if not less. I can ship a $1000 print (insured for that value) UK to US for about ยฃ35. That's just me as an individual googling courier companies and using the options available, not a large company who would have discounts from various couriers from having an account. asking 50% for shipping a $500 print is taking the piss in my opinion. Paddle 8 doesn't pack and ship themselves, at least for myself being outside of a large city. They send a 3rd party to the seller to pick up, pack, and ship. Costs more but very nice for the seller and it seems most Paddle 8 buyers are willing to pay for this peace of mind. $825 sure seems darn expensive domestically though, not sure what's up with that. Yeah I understand that but sure a lot of sellers on Paddle8 know how to pack a print, so an unnecessary extra charge. Not in all cases obviously as some people don't have a clue!
Maybe a tick box for sellers to indemnify Paddle8 from incurring the costs involved from poor packing. I would think it would seem more inviting to buyers if they only had one shipping cost.
$825 is a lot domestically. God only knows how much it would be internationally!
It's their job to pack professionally like any online business. Pejac Print, Original, WANTED, by Flashback on Apr 22, 2017 10:51:03 GMT 1, Still looking for Meadow HF, Meadow normal edition, Seppuku and Heavy sea. PM me if you have any for sale please:) there is a meadow normal ed on paddle8, 3.000 usd at the moment with 10 hours to go... paddle8.com/work/pejac/138993-meadow/ Thanks:)
I was watching it but still a bit reluctant to engage with Paddle8 at the moment due to all their recent woes. Maybe in 6 months time I might after hearing how others got on!
After buyer's premium and shipping it was also way overpriced. Think I would rather put my money towards another Pejac original than buy Meadow at that inflated price now:)

Looking For HM Book, by Flashback on Apr 18, 2017 19:48:46 GMT 1, I've just been on Amazon France for and ordered a copy for delivery to the uk. ยฃ42 including deliver, cheaper than elsewhere. Not 100% about if I'll get it or not though. Worth a punt. Nice idea - I've just put an order in just in case, but not too optimistic!
