Banksy - Better Out Than In - New York - BOTI, by Ågentßacardi on Oct 4, 2013 20:43:59 GMT 1, Think this is Banksy? It's certainly similar to what he did with the phone booths... and he doesn't seem opposed to recycling themes, as we've seen with the dog pissing pieces! That is VERY interesting. Where did you find that image? A friend who lives in NY posted it.

Banksy - Better Out Than In - New York - BOTI, by Ågentßacardi on Oct 2, 2013 21:20:18 GMT 1, Oh Bollocks. I spent over an hour trying to sort out twitter last night. Im not now trying to join instantgram. I'll never keep on top of it all. I'll stick with the pictures and wisdom on here I think. The difference between here and Instagram is nothing good happens here when you type #niceboobs. I totally did not just do that on Instagram

Banksy - Better Out Than In - New York - BOTI, by Ågentßacardi on Oct 2, 2013 20:47:47 GMT 1, The instagram is genuine because the source is on the Banksy site. However the Twitter account is not linked to from the site so there's no guarantee it's real, but imo quite possibly be fake. It was set up incredibly quick after the official launch but there are some dedicated trolls out there. Yea i agree... Think some just set it up! Im not to computer savy, why would someone set up a fake account ? is there anything to be gained from such a thing ? People are just weird, dude. There's fake celebrity accounts all over the place. People get off on the 'power' trip, I guess... to pretend that they've got a legion of fans/admirers/followers. Very sad people!

Banksy - Better Out Than In - New York - BOTI, by Ågentßacardi on Oct 2, 2013 20:46:28 GMT 1, Anyone can link to banksy's site, dude The link is on the official Banksy 'Better out than In' which takes you to the Instagram site, surely not just anyone can to that? The Instagram site is 100% real. Whoops, I apologize, I read it the other way around (linking to Banksy's site on the Twitter account). Sorry! But yes, instagram is def real, and Twitter is doubtful. For one, if he's doing Instagram to post pictures daily, then why no pics on Twitter? And it's easy to link Instagram posts to Twitter (it even does it automatically), so if he wanted to also post pics on twitter, why isn't he?

How Does a Banksy Online Print Release Work?, by Ågentßacardi on Sept 25, 2013 1:44:40 GMT 1, I *think* the last open-for-all print release on POW that was Morons, and getting one was like squeezing juice from a rock. Good times!

Hello again!, by Ågentßacardi on Feb 27, 2013 11:37:03 GMT 1, Hey everyone!
I used to live on these forums, but life got in the way and blahblahblah (and mainly because I couldn't afford to keep up and coming on here would have only tempted me towards poverty), so I've been MIA for a while. But thought I'd poke my head in to say 'Howdy' to all who remember who I am!
I'm just looking to reconnect with my old forum pals on here - if you remember me and wanna keep in touch via facebook or something, please PM me!
Otherwise - HI EVERYBODY!!!! I do miss the times I spent on these boards... *sigh*
-Jay a.k.a. =Åß=

Banksy and Dolk For Sale. ***NO LONGER AVAILABLE*, by Ågentßacardi on Feb 27, 2013 11:05:18 GMT 1, Hellooo coach, yapsey, cosmic! Wow, it's certainly been forever, eh? Coach: Nah, I've pretty much stopped collecting. Couldn't afford it anymore! I've never sold a single print that I've purchased (because I bought them 'cos I loved them in the first place), so it was only a matter of time until I went too broke to sustain my art addiction How about you guys? C'mon, show off the proudest pieces in your collection!
bambi: I was just trying to help, didn't mean to rile you up so much, geez. No need to get all SHOUTY and stuff, as if I said something ridiculously offensive or something.

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Ågentßacardi on Feb 26, 2013 11:03:20 GMT 1, (I posted this under 'Capitalism' as well - please forgive me if you're reading this twice, but I'm sure you understand my reasons for posting this in both categories!)
I realize this is a loooooonnng shot, but here goes: I got a 'Capitalism' print at Barely Legal in LA 2006, and would like to swap with someone who has 'Sale Ends'. From what I understand, these two prints were never released outside of Barely Legal after the whole Grannies/Applause/Morons fiasco on POW, so I think it's a fair swap.
As for authenticity, I am a genuine Banksy fan who used to live on this forum, but life got in the way and I've been MIA for quite a while. Anyway, Silky and a number of older members can vouch for my genuine existence (unless they've forgotten me already ), and I do have the receipt from when I bought my prints at the show.
So in the 0.00001% chance that you're mutually interested, please PM me!

Banksy and Dolk For Sale. ***NO LONGER AVAILABLE*, by Ågentßacardi on Feb 26, 2013 10:46:38 GMT 1, In case anyone's considering: I think ManchesterMike 's B&W Trolleys came from me (we did a trade years ago), so I do have the electronic receipt from POW for purposes of provenance and stuff. Just putting that out there in case it helps!

Banksy Street Art in Los Angeles, by Ågentßacardi on Apr 12, 2011 1:24:51 GMT 1, If Banksy is indeed in town for the MOCA show, then it'd be hard to imagine that he'd pass by without leaving any work behind... unless, of course, he got pissed off 'cos The Academy snubbed "Exit Through the Gift Shop" :-P Either that, or he's pissed that most of the stuff he's done the last time he was here are now gone/stolen...

how illegal is street art and what are the laws?, by Ågentßacardi on Mar 16, 2011 18:50:17 GMT 1, I have a question that I've been wondering about for a long while now... WHY is Shepard Fairey not afraid of showing his face? I mean, everybody KNOWS that he's the guy behind all his work, that he's OBEY... if street art was so illegal, then I'm sure if the police wanted to nab him, they'd have done so by now (if they can track a child pornographer hiding behind a computer, I'm sure they can track Fairey down with ease). Of course, I'm not at all saying that I'd like that to happen, but I'm just wondering why he's managed to stay (relatively) out of trouble for so long? Why do artists like him get to 'walk among the people', while others like Invader or Banksy have to hide who they are?

So sad! Oh well, at least it wasn't cut out of the wall. Being painted over is all part and parcel of the graffiti life cycle, so as sad as the loss of a Banksy may be, at least it didn't go into the hands of someone opportunistic and greedy!

Banksy Street Art in Los Angeles, by Ågentßacardi on Feb 28, 2011 18:27:13 GMT 1, Banksy's 'Cut It Out' book. Ahh nice, I'd never seen it before. Really wish I had those books!
To fuzzed (and anyone else who missed out on 'Cut it Out' when it was available):
"Cut it Out" is available as a scanned PDF here: www.fileserve.com/file/HKrMjpJ/Banksy%20-%20Cut.It.Out.pdf
Other than annoying ads and "pay us if you want the download RIGHT NOW!" schticks, with if you have the patience to wait a couple of minutes, the link is totally free and legit (I tried it out myself first). Compared to the actual book, the colors are not quite as brilliant (it looks like it can be fixed by simply adjusting the contrast if that's important to you), but it's all there.
I doubt it's gonna be on there forever, so grab it while you can.
There - that's my good deed for the day

Banksy Street Art in Los Angeles, by Ågentßacardi on Feb 28, 2011 9:18:10 GMT 1, I doubt it's real. As you said, the quality is pretty poor, and I think Banksy is a lot more original than to simply mash up a couple of things he's done before. Carlsbad Crawl came up with a list of pretty compelling reasons why it's probably fake: carlsbadcrawl.com/?p=6118
More than anything, Banksy has claimed responsibility for his other works by putting images up on his website, and there's nothing about this as yet (and it's been a few days - he usually gets it up there pretty promptly)...
