New Ernest Z print incoming..., by microfluo on Nov 29, 2014 1:48:51 GMT 1, There is one less available as i gave the link to a friend of mine who loved EZ's work ! She was very jealous on my style war...i own quite a bunch of nice artworks into my collection but the Zachaveric has allways been her favorite ! She's a buzy girl and had no time to spend on hectic release so she was very happy to grab the "Composition with R B and Y" I can't believe my eyes it doesn't sold out yet....IMO The best Ernest Zacharevic print till now ! If I buy one will you swap it for your style wars? No pressure on your last comment lol What's the point dazarino?? Sorry to say but your last comment is just a pity! I've hardly said anything negative on this board but if you had ever read my previous comments about EZ you would have been aware that i'm a real fan and that style war belong to my child. Moreover he loves it so much... it won' t be swaped whatever is the deal because we both love it so much! IMO "Composition with R B and Y" is much better than style war (the print...not the wall) and i'll be happy to discuss it later when it will be framed !

Jesus microflu you really need to get that sense of humour centre in your brain sorted out. It's fine that you have anger issues but the winking icon on dazarino's post was the clue that it was only meant tongue in cheek.
Chill the f*** out.

New Ernest Z print incoming..., by loother on Nov 29, 2014 13:18:14 GMT 1, I'm still tempted by this, and delighted that I'm still able to dither, my problem being that as I recall Style Wars wasn't screenprinted because it's hard/impossible to recreate Z's particular style with that process, which sounded sensible to my non-expert ears. Different Strokes wasn't screenprinted either. But now this has been, leaving me worried that the detail on the boy won't quite work. I'm particularly concerned, looking at the pics, about his blotchy red forehead. Really that's all that's stopping me from buying it, though I guess I could always send it back if I don't like it. Can anyone reassure me before it's too late?

Adults can have discussions with people whose opinions differ, and more importantly can often learn from those same differeing opinions!!

50% relieved as I don't have a spare 400 quid really for art 50% gutted that I never made the purchase!
Matches my indecision on this over the last 48 hours.

Well I'm glad after 36 hours of deliberation I FINALLY took the plunge earlier this afternoon Left myself sod all to live on though (for the next 6 days!!) after buying an Ian Francis from Lazarides & a Faile too but hey - food & bills are for lightweights eh! ha
I am maybe under-appreciating the intricate printing process at this current time that went into this EZ so I'm preparing to be 'WOW'd'!!
I did wanna join the 'cannot justify the expense' crew BUT money is always around - prints are sadly not. Then when we do want to own the said piece, we pay through the nose for the pleasure **Well that's my justification anyhow**ha

There's a thread nearby about being Addicted to Art that you might want to check out Liverpoolste although I think at this point you may be too far gone for an intervention. I guess you can always eat the prints if times get really tough - must be some fibre etc in all that paper!

Haha like it, I think when ever your on the fence about a drop in the future ste just remember the artist will always bring out another print. If it took you 36 hours to decide then I don't think you should have gone for it mate and stuck with buying food

It was reading the initial slating of the print/cost earlier on in this thread that had me sat on the fence for sooooo long!
Thankfully I saw sense & took the plunge but yep, you're correct - there'll always be more drops from the said artist in the future. Just annoying when you regret not getting something on a drop/didn't have a hope in hells chance of securing a print on the drop & have to resort to flippers!
Think I'd have double the amount of art if I didn't need to resort to buying my wants from profiteers!haha
Hope December is a quiet month for art though - like seriously!

New Ernest Z print incoming..., by Lroy on Nov 29, 2014 21:02:42 GMT 1, Anyway, not my cut of Tee, sorry my cup of tea. For a lot of reasons that I won't tell ( too much fans of Z. here : peace, no war ) Roy, i for one would really like to hear why you don't like Zach... Art is personal, what you don't like could be something that someone else does like, but you voicing your crtique is not an attack on my affinity for the piece... Just saying... Adults can have discussions with people whose opinions differ, and more importantly can often learn from those same differeing opinions!! s Well, well well, thanks Sgolby.. Is anybody have patience here ? ;-) Never mind I understand you ( it took me half an hour to wrtie this , lol ) ....
Without doubt, I chose an easy shortcut because I'm a bit lazy and this would be more obvious ( to don't wite nonsense and well make me understand) if the English language was my mother tongue (I hate google translator I use very little). At the beginning I write that Zach and GP, were not my cup of tea. I removed GP because it doesn't mean anything : it is an editor, and in new print editions we can find great new artists ( but very bad too ) , and then I am not ready to win a giveaway contest now! Laughing out loud.. I think Zacharevich is a bit too clean, childish, without body, materials, or casings, beautiful images of course but what after? (Mondrian - that was never my cup of tea - has already been used and diverted hundreds of times. The wall of the school for example, makes me think an official commissioned art that any great artist of an art school could have... I'd like also much rather " Destroy Grafitti" by Kunstraen, still an image of Coca-cola diverted: Kidult (Ebola), Icy and Sot (two friends I adore humanely but that seem a bit declining to creativity ( money and commerce ? - - the fault of the prints perspective?) that inevitably, you will love!) Already the coke logo is attractive and the message subliminal of our childhood, redone surface! It cannot be not love; Easy. Above all, I don't like too much the "white" of this print. Too much cold. But maybe, in real , it would be great...
About G.P. , I know too much what to think: they have great artists, certainly, but it becomes a mechanism (the 10 different prints, etc, etc... a exit every 15 days), or a process. It also lacks of " body" with guts, deepness, wall (true and of bricks or cement ); We would like that GP come out the prints after a mural of an artist and not as images to buy and collectible.
To illustrate my point ( lol ) , I'll take 3, 4, 5, 6 artists: Banksy - which always overwrites all the world in street-art -, Invader that renews itself with its waffles, its rubik cubes and his alien kit travelling in space with balloons, and also JR, which although could upset a lot as myself with his hipster side ( etc ) , performs feats (with moutains of money, I grant you)... I think that there are not only beautiful ( or " amazing " ) pics, but creation and this is what interests me (as Pejac, Pavel183 (rip), Roa and Daleast for another form of street-art, however innovative and more traditional also: they import in the street of the works that have the taste of art, the appearance and the flavour of art and .... that we could find maybe in museums.. and which in fact are of street-art!).. And Shok1 and his new radiologic art , etc, etc.... I like crazy guys, in art, music, litterature, mates etc... I like rebels too. Maybe its just a illusion but They try. They have the merit to try.
The end Zach and/or GP could suggest to these updates from Obey every week, with an old vintage new style and print ( lol ) . .. Beautiful pictures but what interest the fact? Street-art must be a fight violent and rude, as the cobblestones in the streets, the holes and the matter of a wall, and not only a series of "suggestions"... ( too much easy sometimes ) ... A good spot and location could be a masterpiece and a, " amazing " fresco only an embellishment, an ornament only pleasant to the view...
Sorry for writing and ideas.

New Ernest Z print incoming..., by loother on Nov 29, 2014 23:16:51 GMT 1, The return of this print can only be intepreted one way: it's a sign! A sign from the print lords! I have listened to the print lords, and it has cost me ยฃ340+p&p. Though to be fair the purchase ended with a mildly concerning message saying that "your transaction has been successful but there was a problem connecting back to the merchant's web site". No confirmation email. I'm in the hands of the print lords.
