Greatest Items Sold on UAA?, by cnrdvln on Mar 23, 2018 15:11:18 GMT 1, As more people join the forum (like myself) it would be great to know of any crazy items that have been put up for sale here - sold or not over the years.
I had began to crawl through old threads but many images / links have expired.
What are the best items to have come across the forum?

Greatest Items Sold on UAA?, by sufsean on Mar 23, 2018 16:21:43 GMT 1, I purchased a Faile Pink Dog II on here after a transaction fell through, after a years + search.
Years back I got a Police Kids unsigned from a nice member, which on this pace--will pay for my three year old's college when it's time
Those are my two best purchases on here to date.

Greatest Items Sold on UAA?, by Gurn on Mar 23, 2018 16:33:30 GMT 1, I seem to remember years ago one forum member on a hunch, purchased a small canvas of a stencilled grenade. This was duly given the thumbs down by many members. "Too naive", "Not consistent with others" etc. Pest Control begged to differ.

That’s a thread I’d enjoy reading

Greatest Items Sold on UAA?, by sufsean on Mar 23, 2018 16:53:29 GMT 1, The Banksy Love Rat Print found by a UAA member's friend's book--all folded up, crazy damage was a great thread.
I think it ended up being restored and kept by member, so happy ending.

Yes, that was one of the most impressive restoration jobs I’ve seen.

Greatest Items Sold on UAA?, by ca on Mar 23, 2018 17:15:14 GMT 1, The dude trying to sell a book signed by Banksy was a pretty good one. He apparently had pictures of him signing to prove it was a real Banksy signature... Needless to say the thread was a complete sh!tshow

Interesting read. Vaguely remember it now. Whilst there were plenty of members incorrectly saying it was obviously fake, interesting to see that Zippy and Harveyn gave good advice. Also a shame to be reminded that artists like Dicy used to post here, but stopped, and the reason for this. Great result for the owner.

Greatest Items Sold on UAA?, by irl1 on Mar 23, 2018 17:50:40 GMT 1, Great to see something like this. I was bidding on a small piece last year in an auction in Ireland, then this happened. (see link) I know its not UAA related but just wanted to show things like this still happen around the world. www.rte.ie/news/ireland/2017/0410/866694-adams-auctioneers/

This is brilliant, thanks for posting. Shame nothing has changed on the ‘I’m an expert’ front.

Greatest Items Sold on UAA?, by Lord Lucas Roham on Mar 23, 2018 21:23:32 GMT 1, I sold a Nola Grey, 1/63 on here for like £3k or something a few years ago. Last sold at auction for £63k.
Galleries taken advantage of poor students.
Not bitter in the slightest though, that's life. Still got a signed Banksy on my wall so all good, plus I hate that image. Still don't know what it means.

Greatest Items Sold on UAA?, by Cardiff on Mar 23, 2018 21:40:39 GMT 1, Not really in line with this topic, but does anyone remember the member (think his real name was Caleb) who had won some sort of talent competition on TV and was always super wound up. Some of the best sales threads I can remember (think his passion was Dolk if I remember correctly).
