BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Lroy on Oct 17, 2019 16:35:44 GMT 1, I'm so confused why people are struggling with the one per person and per household concept. I think that everboy or mostly thouthg that it was as the WOH shop ! When you read unlimited, and when it's tats, why should we think in another way ?
I really thought that it was I ex per item, so why they invite you to shop again ?! They should warned us about this.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by hollie on Oct 17, 2019 16:35:55 GMT 1, Just my two cents and I obviously know nothing, but I really doubt they’ll go as far as screening on IP address. As long as your name and address are unique (and you only went for one item) you should be in the running.

What if your work uses a range of addresses and the last 2 digits are different for each person? That may seem like a silly question, but I'm wondering if the first X numbers would be used to determine the location.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Lroy on Oct 17, 2019 16:43:21 GMT 1, one item per item ! I thougth ( I quoted you GMA but it did not match ) Since the beginning I thought that it was this ( per example no x2 cans ) I am wrong I am wrong.. I wont die. I have no chance with Banksy products that's all. Its not for french I guess. And I have the right to be stupid. Even if I regret. But I can understand those who have been quick, but why a so hard sanction, what you all call " discalification ". We are playing Basket ( to cart ) or what ?
oh I put this here.. I was annoying FЯ I guess :
So, what I have to do now sir ?
Do you think that I can write to them to apologize and to took off all the merchandises at 10 quids ? And will they answer me ?
In fact I did not read well for sure, but its not my fault if I have already got the button back saying " back to the shop "...It should be written " Back to stop ! It's one item per person during the all show then ? Even for the unlimited ? I did not asked to get in a lottery anyway ( for the big artworks ) ...

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by pfffffffffft on Oct 17, 2019 16:47:47 GMT 1, I'm so confused why people are struggling with the one per person and per household concept. So, one per person is just that. It's very clear. It means both I and my husband can enter once.
One per household, also clear. It means entry per address. It means either I or my husband can enter at this address once.
When you combine them what does it mean? Does it mean only one person can enter at one address? Isn't that what once per household means? Or does it mean that each person at an address can enter once?
Truthfully I am still not sure what it means and don't know if my husband and I have been disqualified for each entering once at the same address.

As long as your name and address are unique (and you only went for one item) you should be in the running. Probably already stated, but "they" won't have to screen anything. Shopify settings can be set to filter by IP or address.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by antony on Oct 17, 2019 16:50:02 GMT 1, Maybe he just wants to try to tank his market value given his statement on the commodification of art after DP sold. Sell a bunch of open editions online. I don’t know. I just can’t imagine it’s this simple. “If you want a banksy you can now have a banksy”
if it's his will, he does it badly ... pieces in the dropper and a crazy demand ... it seems to be very well under control on the contrary no ?

The IP address thing is a ruse, anyone running a VPN can swerve this. I'd imagine it'll be more about the email addresses used and the postcode inputs. Good luck either way (to only the non flippers on here - to the rest, I hope you're as disappointed as I am)

When you combine them it means:
1. One and only one person can apply, one time only, from your address. Either you or your husband - or your evil work colleague who decided to ‘borrow’ your address for the purpose.
2. You and your husband can each apply once, for one item only, - but you must do so with two different addresses. i.e. if you apply using your address, your husband must use a different address. And you should also each apply using a different IP address.
3. If you really want to respect the spirit of the endeavour, only one of you should apply because you both belong to the same household and Banksy has asked you not to do that.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by johnwayne on Oct 17, 2019 17:09:56 GMT 1, People thinking they wont check same IP's are extremely out of touch with how easy it is to see duplicate IP address orders on the store side of Shopify. In fact a ton of galleries use this same method to catch people purchasing duplicates and refunding. Not sure why anyone would think the IP address isn't checked.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by seamusdorey on Oct 17, 2019 17:12:33 GMT 1, I would prefer to buy directly from an artists authorised resale site than Bonhams, Christie's or Sotheby's.
If you haven't already read Georgina Adam's book 'Dark Side Of The Boom - The Excesses of the Art Market in the 21st Century', I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Once read, you may even want to reevaluate where you'd like to buy your art.
I think it MAY mean that if you want to sell, after two years, you'll have to sell through GDP or Bbay. Similar to what local authorities have started to do with Right To Buy purchasers. If the leaseholder subsequently sells, the local authority has first refusal. All very interesting if this is what GDP are going to do. I actually like the idea. I'd be very surprised if this is the case. PC cutting out bonhams, christies, sotherbys etc.. Still they can't stop someone with a COA doing whatever they want... Until it comes to change of ownership....s**t.. Dodgy gits. Well we knew that already
