BONGO ONCE AGAIN RAISE QUESTION ON BANKSYART.ORG, by afroken on May 9, 2008 19:57:25 GMT 1, Just to throw a spanner in the works, but what if this is an elaborate hoax? It would be an interesting way to measure the greed of people out there - kind of a honey trap for greedy Banksy investors. I think that would be very cool.
I'm just speculating of course.

BONGO ONCE AGAIN RAISE QUESTION ON BANKSYART.ORG, by Guy Denning on May 9, 2008 21:57:23 GMT 1, If they disassembled the Palestine 'peace' wall for the BANKSYs it might be worthwhile letting 'em get on with it. You wait - these wall pieces will eventually (in time) start turning up in public collections like the Tate (not that they'd admit to being interested at the moment). I suspect that's the long plan for whoever's responsible.

BONGO ONCE AGAIN RAISE QUESTION ON BANKSYART.ORG, by scoote on May 9, 2008 22:24:14 GMT 1, We can only hope that they end up in the Tate, but is this really the place that they need to be, surely then they are out of context. These pieces are in the heart and minds of the people that would have first seen them on the street, although through greed they will never remain there. Through time, they only become only a marker for the people, something to talk about, a time to remember.

Even if they did end up in the Tate (which I doubt) why should some cvnt get rich on free art......esp when its not me!

I'm guessing the first prerequisite the Tate and its ilk would have is that the pieces they display are genuine and seeing as Pest Control refuses to authenticate street works they've no hope of getting it and thus won't waste wall space with it. Besides they've already had Banksy's on display and removed them as unwanted ;D
EDIT- I see ALB may have already alluded to something similar. I suppose I should've continued reading before posting

BONGO ONCE AGAIN RAISE QUESTION ON BANKSYART.ORG, by graeme501 on May 10, 2008 20:47:51 GMT 1, another idea
say that every1 just started contacting them, saying they had originals to sell, but keep it at, they would get maybe a few hundred a week, and the genuine walls for sale would get lost in the pile and we would take up all their time, just keep leading them on
