Banksy Radar Rat • Dirty Funker 12", by saint on Oct 13, 2020 21:32:25 GMT 1, I've seen one before, will be very interesting to hear what Pest Control say. They sometimes say things that do exist don't exist because they weren't actually sold hence no COA.
Interesting.... so how were the unsigned obtained do you know?
As I say I didn’t know about them until recently, and even then I could find no info online. I assumed there would be a very small number of unsigned because of this, but 175 is more than I would have thought....

Anyway, could well be from the unsigned, would you mind saying what the total edition number is? I have no idea....
Edit - just zoomed in, 175.... wow.

Flower With and without COA value, by saint on Oct 12, 2020 14:51:01 GMT 1, stood on or not stood on? Everyone is quick to knock without putting in an logical input. I stand by a welcome mat with a coa going into auction at Sotheby’s would be around 70k if you think you’d get an original piece like this with coa for 10k your in yesterday’s prices Logical input to a completely make-believe thread where you invent a price up out of thin air for something just on the off chance its granted a COA??
I'm sorry but logic left the building a while ago, he's having a stiff drink and wondering what the fuck is going on right now.

Banksy Welcome Mat, by saint on Oct 9, 2020 16:50:38 GMT 1, Co-signed?? Plate-signed posters and co-signed mats, oh my! So what would you consider or describe it as authorized? Same Ish different lingo. I have no idea what you're talking about most the time.
I certainly would not say its co-signed, its like saying a poster is plate-signed, which is how most people describe it now as they think it makes it sound more important than saying 'it's a poster'.
Its a genuine, authentic welcome mat, that Banksy possibly designed or not, but at the least has authorised production of, created by people who really need help and are in a very desperate situation.
What's sad is that people have to be given something in return for a donation to a cause, otherwise they wouldn't donate, and then to make matters worse, a lot of those people are only interested in profiteering, and saying mines first edition yours is second edition, blah blah blah, my cock is bigger than yours and the label is sewn on rather than dangling down like a pair of bollocks.
Its a ridiculous thread, with ridiculous comments, I'm just pleased to be a part of it all really.

Banksy • Have A Nice Day Print • 2003, by saint on Oct 9, 2020 11:10:49 GMT 1, Just a moan really, but the series of 'wide' prints always had the number/signature so close to the margin that you invariably have to cover them up when you frame them. Pain the arse.
I haven’t done so with my BME.

Banksy • Have A Nice Day Print • 2003, by saint on Oct 9, 2020 11:10:10 GMT 1, Great print. For the Banksy nerds out there... This is the slightly later version of the print. The initial version of the print released in 2003 had the Banksy tag vertical, reversed out inside the leg of the furthest right policeman and a slightly more florid font was used for the "Have A Nice Day" text.
Both awesome but I prefer the other font personally.
GLWTS, I hate how much I want this.

Banksy Welcome Mat, by saint on Oct 8, 2020 15:55:58 GMT 1, For years I have been buying M&S pure cotton t shirts.
Recently I decided to invest in some new ones, the old ones were getting a little worn.
They are still 6 quid, and actually buy 3 for £16. I splurged and bought 3, all black though, I only wear black.
I find the stitching on the recent ones to not be as good as the older ones, and the fit isn't quite as nice.
If anyone has a first edition pure cotton black unworn medium t shirt from M&S please pm me.

Early Banksy Art, by saint on Oct 8, 2020 9:58:28 GMT 1, Another lovely rat i've not seen this one before where is the photo from please ? Ne neither. There were a few G-rat canvases released around 2006/2007 though an d they had a similar style background, albeit smaller in size, and some spray paint on paper versions of a similar age....

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by saint on Oct 7, 2020 16:48:45 GMT 1, I just received mine today. Feels pretty weird, it's really just a coffee mug with "Banksy" written on it... Anyway, I've only seen one guy on Reddit who also won one. And you. I've been wondering about it, too.
I reckon don't put it in the dishwasher after use. Hand clean only I would think.
I pissed the wife off massively by putting her expensive mugs in the dishwasher, all the gilding around the rim came off. She was not happy with me.

Early Banksy Art, by saint on Oct 7, 2020 16:31:26 GMT 1, The original Gangster rat was quite different to the slightly later print edition (the one people use to make a stencil and do fakes from without research or being honest about painting it themselves). This is from 2004 and was from an edition of 25. I have limited knowledge of the edition but I've seen the exclamation mark in black also.

Bonhams • Art Auctions • London 🇬🇧, by saint on Oct 7, 2020 15:41:38 GMT 1, Nearly 10k if the eBay seller waited Unsigned soupcan one of the smallest editions Size of of edition has no relevance in this print market If the market carry’s on as is , I predict unsigned prices will be close to signed editions pricings I think what is becoming clear is that prices are becoming image dependent, rather than signature dependent. I see unsigned prices for more desirable prints overtaking the prices for the signed less desirable, its already happened with a few. This is probably how it should be, people should buy the art they really like and not worry about the signature. (Its still fucking insane how expensive it all is tho).

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by saint on Oct 7, 2020 15:15:05 GMT 1, Love Rat unsigned 87000 £ Soup can unsigned 115000 £ Weston Super Mare unsigned 56000 £ Artdelight, where do you get your figures from? Not a criticism, just interested to know how you work it out. I honestly think he thought signed for the soup can? Assume so anyway. Also, I would say WSM is less valuable than HAND and Bomb Middle England (personally), so I would put that closer to 40k.... LR unsigned recently sold on ebay for 45k.

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by saint on Oct 7, 2020 15:11:55 GMT 1, I know it's spin the roulette wheel and have a random guess at banksy prices season right now , but anyone have any ideas for me on fair private market prices on these right now, all unsigned: - Love rat - Soup can (original colorway) - Weston Super Mare Thanks folks! Love Rat unsigned 87000 £ Soup can unsigned 115000 £ Weston Super Mare unsigned 56000 £ An unsigned Soup can just sold for 41k (all in) at Bonhams, and one sold on ebay last month for 32k.

Bonhams • Art Auctions • London 🇬🇧, by saint on Oct 7, 2020 15:05:39 GMT 1, how does bambi even make it into a prestige auction house, paid placement? In the old days Bonhams was the key auction room in London for urban art, the sales of 2008/09 were ridiculous, some amazing pieces being sold. Nowadays not so much, too much competition, and not enough decent work on the market. They have to fill sales after all....
