WCP The West Country Prince, by mouser on Aug 3, 2017 17:56:05 GMT 1, Why do you think you are entitled to own an iconic piece of an in demand artist's work for next to nothing? "I can't afford the real thing" is not a valid excuse to support the parasites who create counterfeit or replica goods. I do not think I am entitled to own any of his work. I was simply pointing out the lack of options there were to enjoy his work if you weren't in a position to own a piece of his work and aksing if there were any adjustments to WCP's practices that could me made where it would more morally acceptable to someone like yourself. I also did not state you should support the production of counterfeits and bootlegs. I am looking to find if there is a way one can enjoy the work of Banksy on their walls and not impose on your moral standards. Banksy's website had hi res images which he states are free for reproduction, if anyone really wanted a cheap banksy images, download from his site, take to instaprint or some such equivalent and print out for a fraction of the cost of a WCP print. But then again..... nothing to do with people buying WCP to pretend they have a legit Banksy on their wall.....

Who can explain Micallefs market, by mouser on Jul 13, 2017 22:35:26 GMT 1, I have a few of his head studies and some of the more recognisable pieces on the wall, love em all. To put things in context from 10 years ago, i swapped a " save my soul" and £500 for a banksy rude copper a couple days before my wedding. The eyestorm prints are still lovely pieces.
Agree with Dan that a lot of his work is a bit dark, still trying to work out where to hang a black siren withour mentally scarring the kids. But one day it'll hit the wall.

Black and white prints, by mouser on Jul 13, 2017 5:30:42 GMT 1, with the launch of Pejac's Scattercrow today, and the acceptance that i most likely wont be getting one, interested to hear other folks thoughts and favourites of the black and white genre.
Do black and white images create a stronger impression? Do you prefer a bit of colour or favour a cornacopia of colour?
I have found myself being drawn to black and white images for a while now, micallef charcoal head studies, gormley studies, TLP, rude copper, hmv, barcode etc.... interested in hearing others opinions and favourites of the black and white canon.

Invader • Invasion Kits IK, by mouser on May 18, 2017 5:09:00 GMT 1, No, the only thing that separates the home made one is the type of rubber glue used, adhesive cover film on the tiles, packing envelope, proof of purchase, original carboard packing...... certainly a lot more to an invader than just finding similar tiles. The packaging forms a significant part of the kit whether its been opened or not. I can see a small premium for unopened kits, but cant see it seriously effecting the price. A piece without envelope is a different story though. There is a very significant difference between unopened toys that were ment to be played with and limited edition art pieces, the comparison / argument doesnt stand up in my eyes, its like arguing that a print kept in its tube is worth more than one kept in a folder because it was removed from its original tube... 🙄 Then again, i opened my kits and enjoyed them, so I am a bit biased. I have all those things: - Tiles - Adhesive cover film - Original packaging with numbered instructions - Cardboard box with invader tape, Space Shop address and my name - Emails confirming purchase and delivery - ... and the important rubber glue! And a very nice invader you are selling with them too.

Invader • Invasion Kits IK, by mouser on May 17, 2017 3:01:38 GMT 1, different categories in my book, you dont see kaws toys lose much value once unpacked because it's been categorized as "art", same with prints and what not, if an invader loses its value after unpacking then we're not in the "art" category anymore IMO as this was meant to be enjoyed on a wall and not in a drawer, then again it's my opinion Unfortunately, all you need is some research and source similar looking tiles and you practically have this same invasion kit for under 50 dollars. The only thing that separates the home made and the one from invader is the sealed packaging. What Music are you listening to at the moment ?, by mouser on Mar 16, 2017 5:34:05 GMT 1, Stunning song, features backing vocals from Stipe. Lovely. Don't their voices harmonise well? Beautiful man. Excellent, been a throwing muses fan for a long time ( counting backwards from a free cassette on deadline about '89 from memory), an excellent voice, got a soft spot for fiona apples vocals too.

What Music are you listening to at the moment ?, by mouser on Feb 17, 2017 21:45:03 GMT 1, I'm guessing this will cause as many positive as negative reactions - love this version and obviously the original was a classic and always will be! Makes me think of the 'hounds of love' cover that Futureheads did of the kate bush classic.... love both of those too! Yorkie A crackng double interview with Viv Albertine a couple months back on Radio 6, some great tales.

Unsigned Banksy Barcode with COA for sale, by mouser on Jun 20, 2016 13:38:21 GMT 1, I'm not a Banksy expert so maybe I ignore something, but as Hang Up banksy guide edition says, shouldn't be the press stamp and number lower left? just curious.. No, these were stamped on lower left, lower right or right side verticle and sometimes not at all.
