Stik Book, by bone on Aug 4, 2016 16:29:53 GMT 1, Just refunded over a week later by Strand. That's bullshit. same. I was one of the first people to order when they went online and they sold A LOT of books after I had already purchased (even refreshed inventory). this makes no sense. Same here, I ordered 2 minutes after Stik posted about it. Something is fishy about the refund

The next US President? Clinton or Trump, by bone on Jun 4, 2016 1:13:04 GMT 1, I am telling you right now. Hillary is crooked and wants to continue Obamacare (our failed new health system) which raised my insurance 200% and I couldn't afford my insurance anymore. I have NEVER not had health insurance until Obamacare. Its like health care in Canada. Everyone who makes under 20k a year (people who dont work) are covered but no one can see the doctors for months and months. If Hillary wins, We in the US are SCREWED. There are countries that don't even consider women 2nd rate citizens like This list - elitedaily.com/women/separate-unequal-countries-worst-gender-inequality-education. They WILL NEVER respect the US. US will be tested and threatened like never before. YES, you can make the argument that where there is money to be made, deals will get done but I see much more problems having the first women president in the US ever then being a positive. I am from the US. We already had the first african american president in office and it was a disaster. Not because of his skin color, but because he has tried to turn the US into a socialistic country. We are now at 15 trillion in debt. See here - US Debt Clock. Obama should have been impeached already for pushing policies through illegally that were denied by the senate/congress. Obama violated the law so much which should of led to being impeached then Bill Clinton did (He had sex in the oval office). As for Trump, well only confidence I would have in him is fixing our economy because of the cut throat/successful biz man he is. I am sure we would end up in more wars with him under office then any president EVER which is also scary. But the options stink. Its a lose lose here. This whole post is fucked, but one part is especially wrong and appalling.
everyone who makes under 20k a year (people who dont work)
26% of the people in US make under 10.55/an which is $21,944 a year. Not far off from under 20k a year. Maybe in your bubble of friends it seems crazy, but not everyone is rich, actually most are not. 51% of all workers make under 30k a year

Eelus: Secure a PP or a XL Lenticular AP, by bone on Jun 1, 2016 21:05:24 GMT 1, These cost more then the numbered edition, why would you feel slighted? Because regardless of how much they cost, they add to the size of the edition (even if they're not numbered.) And people who buy limited editions don't often enjoy when the artist turns around and releases more prints of the same image because it's somewhat dishonest, and smacks of a cash grab. I usually assume there is some sort of PP edition. If they informed everyone how many PP there are, would that sit better with you? They probably should have said whether there are 2 or 20 PP

And if so, do you plan on speaking up about it to eelus/AR? These cost more then the numbered edition, why would you feel slighted?

New Os Gรชmeos print, by bone on May 18, 2016 15:09:12 GMT 1, Don't have 6k to spend anyway, but that image is a bit odd... his expression!?? So many better images they could have used. I'm glad I don't like it! Not a fan of either of the print images. I wish they would use one of their geometric color explosion images, I would think of coughing up the cash if that was the case.

ai weiwei self portrait, eelus not everything is black and w, by bone on May 18, 2016 4:28:39 GMT 1, So....the market has spoken and the 3D is cheaper than the 1st Edition??!!?? So much for the hype train on these lenticulars, with boyce tooting his whistle at every opportunity. Weren't these going to be the wrong side of 3-4K ??!! They are worth double what they cost a couple weeks ago, so seems like the hype is there.

NEW MR BRAINWASH Hollywood prints., by bone on May 14, 2016 14:06:43 GMT 1, It's called premium pricing. Sort of very mundane but it's expensive mundane so must be worth buying. Yes in my view Brainwash is just a talentless opportunist sometimes plagiarist money obsessed property buying sort. Is he related to David Guetta ? who just got accused of plagiarism again. I do believe that buyers of this type of stuff actually buy it thinking they are buying Brainwash stock as an investment. I don't own any Brainwash, but I like a some of his older prints. Anyone that has bought his prints as a "stock" or "investment" has done quite well, although who knows how that turns out long term.

Alex Grey, by bone on May 10, 2016 19:28:06 GMT 1, Very Impressive! Is that all hand painted? Looking at the size of the original piece it's amazing detail. Is his work just sold as originals or do they produce print editions as well? Yes, they are hand painted. He sells prints and Originals. Not sure which gallery he workd with, but he has sold prints from his site, but I haven't seen that many recent releases. He also collaborates with his wife quite often. He has a pretty cool print available as a reward for his kickstarter. He is also building a work of art, check it outhttps://www.kickstarter.com/projects/alexgreycosm/build-entheon-with-alex-grey-and-allyson-grey

Cartrain ๐ฌ๐ง Tate Gallery โข Damien Hirst โข Gilbert & George, by bone on May 3, 2016 23:41:03 GMT 1, Yeah, interesting. I guess Kim Jong-Un is gonna be a big figure on the World stage for decades to come, so these images by Cartrain might gain more interest in the future than they are at the moment. I was trying to think of other similar figures that have appeared in Art in this scene over the years? How about saddam hussein for DFace. What makes you think he's going to be a big figure in anything but waistline? Kim Jong il, if we think about it wasn't really and it's been the same story with North Korea for 60 years. They will never use their weapons (if they really have them) because that's the only bargaining chip they have, and without them there's no rice or whiskey for Kim Jong un. As to this type of art, I have no idea why people want images of mass murderers such as Mao Zedong, Saddam or in this case Kim on their walls. But each to their own. Interesting that to my knowledge no ones done a Hitler pop art...yet. spoke-art.com/products/scott-scheidly-emo-hitler

Warning:BAB/ultraluxuries at it again. S&S ebay scam! , by bone on Apr 29, 2016 19:59:18 GMT 1, First off everyone remembers ultraluxuries, self proclaimed banksy dealer out of LA, the guy who bought the bomb hugger on cardboard from Julien's live late last year and tried to flip it on ebay and the forums for $75K profit.... he was exposed here before he had another name change: http://urbanartassociation.com/thread/133949/wtb-banksy-nola-any-color Well he's up to some even more shady stuff now... (see below) Forum names on record: bab banksyenthusiast vipartworld ultraluxuries monopolygallery scarcevaluables scrapbz) Ebay names on record: razorart 02-Dec-15 Present witevnm 02-Nov-15 02-Dec-15 streetagent vipartworld ultraluxuries monopolygallery scarcevaluables scrapbz Read more: urbanartassociation.com/thread/135404/-banksy-originals-pest-control#ixzz47EahdGwc****************************************** Razorart/bab/ultraluxuries currently has a S&S (222100118482) on ebay here: EBAY LINK TO S&S
I've uploaded screen shots below just incase he takes it down. ******************************************************************* This is where it gets interesting, the photos used is of a S&S currently up for auction with Julien's Live. Here: Julien's Live Stop & Search.
Razor art claims that the print is framed without any tape or glue. Well the photo he's posted is of a S&S float framed... Second Compare signatures: Next one is hard to see because of the drop in quality when uploaded. But when comparing the photos from the of the edition size number of /500 the pencil strokes look identical. (Same with the signature, same with the characteristics of the deckled edge. And for the finale... When inverting the colors on Razorart's/ultraluxuries ebay photo... That's a wrap guys, straight CSI post. I have no idea what the purpose of this is. If he wanted to sell an S&S of his own and was too lazy to take photos he should have went the google images route (even though that's a violation of eBay TOS as well). FYI as a disclaimer, the S&S at Julien's is not mine but I also know it's not his. Enjoy! He has been banned from Expresso Beans multiple times for his meltdowns, including homopobic rants. I always thought we was arthunter999 on here (I apologize if wrong)

MBW New print Basquiat, by bone on Apr 12, 2016 19:56:27 GMT 1, I would guess Mr Brainwash sells most of his art in America, don't you think? That's the impression I always get. It feels a bit like he has been taken on well by news media there, and has become a household name maybe in the same way Banksy is in the UK, and Dolk in Norway, Blek in France. He's nowhere near a household name, nobody in the US, outside of the same art/print world you guys are all in, has ever heard of him and he also gets zero media here. He sells most of his art to people looking to either quickly profit off of it or to those needing to keep the hype train up in order to protect their early investment. A "MBW might be Banksy" bubble was created with ETTGS and tons of people who got suckered into it (I'm guessing most are people who missed out on the Banksy train) are trying to justify their purchases or trying to keep the hype going so they don't lose a lot of money. There's also an exception of those who buy because they actually like it but not many. He is defiantly not a household name, but people outside of the art/print world defiantly know who he is. Lots of people in the US saw Exit Through the Gift Shop and he gets a decent amount of press. The first lady was hanging out with him a couple weeks back, he is on TMZ all the time. He is no Banksy when it comes to popularity, but he is unfortunately is pretty recognizable when it comes to artists

Paul Insect "It's only a Dream" Allouche Gallery, by bone on Apr 5, 2016 22:52:24 GMT 1, I've only looked at a pdf of the pieces that will be on show later this week. I also follow PINS on IG, so have seen some of these works close up. From what I can tell, this is some of the most impressive work from anyone that I've seen in a long time. Just spectacularly powerful and gorgeous stuff. If I'm sad about anything it's that PINS has now been priced well out of my range! Oh well. It will be interesting to see how many of these pieces sell through, but there's certainly no doubt PINS is now on another level. Judging from his latest work, he deserves to be. To all of you lucky enough to go to the show, please help out the rest of us by taking lots of photos! What are the price ranges for the new works?

Eine FRAMED, by bone on Apr 1, 2016 5:15:52 GMT 1, Got this one back from CMM Framing today. Absolutely Love it! Float mounted archival with matching grey edge inserts in the inside of the frame / Museum glass.
Looks awesome! CMM is the best, I wouldn't go anywhere else in Chicago. Great guys, great work, and great prices. I wasn't crazy about this print at first, but I've came around.

Eelus 3D Lenticular "Not Everything Is So Black & White", by bone on Mar 31, 2016 14:03:08 GMT 1, I hope they drop these soon, two hours seems like a fair amount of time to make us waste in order to possibly bag one.
