BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by mojo on Oct 13, 2019 21:24:25 GMT 1, Only just realised the angle of the riot helmet on the GDP shop image shows only the "lice" in police. All about the placement. Anyone remember the entrance to Turf War? As you entered you could see what looked like Fuck the Police sprayed on the wall behind a model of a police officer, if you looked behind the model it actually said Good Luck to the police. It was just placed very strategically.
I think the disco ball police helmet is either a tribute to the police for spreading light and trying to protect the streets (from dangerous broccoli ) or a blatant piss take in the same tone as kissing coppers, which in itself is very ambivalent as their is absolutely nothing wrong with gay police.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by mojo on Oct 12, 2019 23:41:01 GMT 1, I have read through this thread and there is a lot of misinformation masquerading as truth. Please be wary before you make purchases, decisions or quote anything listed in this thread. Our community is filled with very knowledgable people in the know, but this thread just wreaks of either misinformed individuals or purposely deceptive members looking to benefit from spreading some serious propaganda. I think you mean the Brexit thread

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by mojo on Oct 12, 2019 21:11:32 GMT 1, I just about managed to get to Croydon for a look (recently woke up from a coma & got out of intensive care - big love to all the Dr's & nurses that looked after me and anyone that works in the NHS you're the best).
I felt sick seeing all the used life jackets and wondered if the people that wore them are still alive and if so if they are ok and somewhere safe. I think the 'curtain' or tarpaulin would be used for shelter and the pallets to burn for fire/warmth? I think the spirt level is just a reflection of how desperate the situation is.
The Basquiat Banksy print quality looks incredible. I thought the brick bag represented a status symbol ten grand handbag as a stack of cash the size of a house brick is slang for 10 grand?
I'm very glad I got to go and see it and even had a very cheesy photo taken in front of the grave stone
Hope everyone buys lots of gross domestic product floods the cash tills and Banksy raises a fortune for the refugee's in need.

Brexit
Jul 30, 2019 18:13:29 GMT 1
Brexit, by mojo on Jul 30, 2019 18:13:29 GMT 1, Did anyone see how humiliated Corbyn looked when Boris was giving him it both barrels in parliament today ? No because I refuse to log on to a link from The Sun's website to watch it, however I did see Dominic Raab making a total arse of himself when asked for simple examples to back up the bullshit he was spewing on the news yesterday evening, obviously he was unable to since this whole no deal Brexit is not just a complete far right fantasy it's an absolute economic disaster and smells like unicorns**t. You see the majority of TV journalists & press (not including the sun, daily mail or telegraph) are now more than ever, going to demand answers and not just pie in the sky answers, real answers backed up by examples and proof and when a reasonable answer isn't forthcoming they will publicly shame them until they can legitimately provide an answer.
I did see the Johnsons visit to Scotland yesterday on the news ...oh dear that didn't go well did it? Even the far right press couldn't edit out/cover up how loud the boo's & hisses were and how hated he is there. Imagine how loud those boo's and hisses would be if the rest of the UK joined in to express how completely unethical it is to allow a practically unelected (92,000) ex failed Mayor & Foreign minister to take us out of the EU on a very ill advised advisory referendum? I'm sure Ireland alone would break the sound barrier.
*edit just watching the news and the visit to Wales has gone the same way too.

Brexit
Jul 30, 2019 17:08:02 GMT 1
Brexit, by mojo on Jul 30, 2019 17:08:02 GMT 1, There were interviews on the Today programme about this today. The welsh farmers export 97% of their sheep/lamb meet to Europe. The minister’s only response was that there will be new markets. It was pointed out that there won’t be sufficient new markets by 31 October! The farmers have indicated that there will be civil unrest (or it might have been disobedience- I can’t remember which).
Alun Cairns, the Secretary for Wales, stated that new markets have opened up such as Japan.
The fact is that a no deal scenario immediately crashes us out of the newly set up EU/Japan FTA! I've read that the Japanese are moving all of their business interests out of the UK purely on the grounds of how rude and unprofessional the current government are...we've 'lost face' in their eyes and I tend to agree with them.

Brexit, by mojo on Jul 30, 2019 16:58:13 GMT 1, Have you ever left Essex to live, work or study overseas? ...genuine question. [b I lived in tenerife for 18 months and ibiza for 10 months in the 90's I have also visited France Holland Germany Switzerland Austria Spain China new Zealand Mexico Malta over the years Oh and Gibraltar how could I forget there So despite having lived and I presume worked within Europe you don't feel that future generations should be entitled to have access to the same freedom that you have enjoyed without having to be judged worthy or rich enough to be able to do so?

Banksy Prints in Larger Size, by mojo on Jul 28, 2019 20:59:02 GMT 1, Ugh? How about making unlimited massive prints of all the images on excellent quality paper but only in pink & yellow and you're only permitted to look at them if your first name begins with a J, you are wearing sunglasses and have been inoculated against rabies. They would cost £1.99 each and would only be available at your local Woolworths store.

Brexit, by mojo on Jul 28, 2019 16:48:06 GMT 1, It's much worse than sad it's a far right coup. So 92,000 Conservative voters have just enabled a total fuck up of a human being to become prime minister at the expense of the other 65 million+ people that live here to take us out of the EU with no deal on the basis of an advisory referendum that has since been proven to have been illegal and based on total bullshit & lies. We now have a cabinet of disaster capitalists about to asset strip the entire country who's enormous wealth is accumulated mostly by inheritance then topped up by profit from war, debt and poverty of the masses before being stashed tax free offshore...a few of them have a taste for killing people too and want to bring back the death penalty. They're using the exact same tactics and lies as 5 years ago and have just pledged 3.6 Billion to throw at 'poor' areas to buy votes in almost exactly the same speech George Osborne dished out years ago and yet still hasn't materialised. Led by Donkeys... more like Vultures!

What Music are you listening to at the moment ?, by mojo on Jul 10, 2019 13:32:28 GMT 1, Heartland The The Beneath the old iron bridges, across the Victorian parks And all the frightened people running home before dark Past the Saturday morning cinema that lies crumbling to the ground And the piss stinking shopping center in the new side of town I've come to smell the seasons change and watch the city As the sun goes down again Here comes another winter of long shadows and high hopes Here comes another winter waitin' for utopia Waitin' for hell to freeze over This is the land where nothing changes The land of red buses and blue blooded babies This is the place, where pensioners are raped And the hearts are being cut from the welfare state Let the poor drink the milk while the rich eat the honey Let the bums count their blessings while they count the money So many people can't express what's on their minds Nobody knows them and nobody ever will Until their backs are broken and their dreams are stolen And they can't get what they want then they're gonna get angry Well it ain't written in the papers, but it's written on the walls The way this country is divided to fall So the cranes are moving on the skyline Trying to knock down this town But the stains on the heartland, can never be removed From this country that's sick, sad, and confused Here comes another winter of long shadows and high hopes Here comes another winter waitin' for utopia Waitin' for hell to freeze over The ammunition's being passed and the lords been praised But the wars on the televisions will never be explained All the bankers gettin' sweaty beneath their white collars As the pound in our pocket turns into a dollar This is the 51st state of the U.S.A. This is the 51st state of the U.S.A. This is the 51st state of the U.S.A.

We all have our own opinions and idea's and if you are too sensitive to understand that there is a block button however, there is also your innate capacity to rise above it and simply not comment or engage...at the very least your blood pressure will thank you for it! www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/jul/09/instagram-bullying-new-feature-do-you-want-to-post-thisOr - I do know and am just worn out by the passive aggressive attacks and gaslighting being carried out by this individual. Attacks carried out for years and years and years. Attacks on so many separate individuals. Maybe I feel so strongly about this bullying that Lroy carries out that I finally had to speak out about it? Maybe some on this forum should have done this years ago? I have one identity on here. I have made just over 100 posts in 7 years and, now, more than 10% of them are because of Lroy and his obnoxious behaviour. That should tell you something. I’ve been collecting and discussing this art for over 20 years. I’ve seen bullies and disgraceful characters come and go. Linking to Guardian articles is desperate virtue signalling. What have YOU done to tell Lroy his behaviour is not appropriate? FWIW, Coach knows exactly who I am and how long I have been around. I'm NOT 'virtue signalling' I just happened to have read that article directly before I looked on here and noticed it being played out in front of my very eyes. You are not responsible for anyone's behaviour and neither am I (unless you have kids) I was just attempting to calm the situation down, I wasn't even taking sides just pointing out that getting over heated about certain issues isn't worth the effort or effect on one's blood pressure generally. Peace out.

Banksy, and how a picture tells a thousand lies, by mojo on Jul 8, 2019 1:41:51 GMT 1, Exactly! I've been taking a night class in traditional painting techniques and am being taught through copying well known artists...I'm currently on my 3rd masterpiece rip off Same goes for the introduction to Art & Design course I'm on with a tutor from St Martins, you're shown images by well known artists and designers within whatever discipline you're studying that week before making your own interpretation. It's called inspiration and it's everywhere including newspaper illustration And a lot of the reason old masters didn’t use photographs or source images is because they DIDN’T EXIST. They had to have models pose for hours with a metal grid in front of them to help them paint more realistically, which is where the modern practice of gridding source images came from. It’s kind of amazing how many people here don’t know anything about the practice or history of art beyond what has been discussed on this forum. Hilarious really. Yes I've been using the grid in my painting class. Funnily enough I have my first ever life drawing class later today. I've prepared by watching YouTube tutorials and repeating "the lightest dark is darker than the darkest light."

Banksy, and how a picture tells a thousand lies, by mojo on Jul 7, 2019 23:38:17 GMT 1, good lord, this is ridiculous. How many of you critics have ever tried to make a realistic piece of art? ITV claims Banksy interview has been found after 16 years, by mojo on Jul 5, 2019 12:53:59 GMT 1, Surprised he didn't get some flak from animal rights activists with all the animals he painted and kept in small enclosed stressed spaces 🙄 He did, there was a girl who chained herself to one of the animal pens for the day. I heard there was a "NO EATING BACON SARNIES IN FRONT OF THE PIGS" rule.
Those animals had personalized air conditioning units and were better looked after than most of the audience.

Brexit, by mojo on Jul 3, 2019 21:23:09 GMT 1, Sounds like its time some of you moved country ? you are obviously not happy here and Its only going to get worse for you, so all you free movement lovers jog on ! It's only the spawn of immigrants, like me that are able to have duel passports. Thanks to the votes of people like yourself other people with UK Passports won't be able to jog on! They're stuck here under Brexit rules.

Brexit

Brexit, by mojo on Jul 3, 2019 21:17:25 GMT 1, I was wondering what the brexiteers on here thought of this? Its another of Nigel's rude, spiteful, small minded, empty and pathetic gestures used before in 2014 when he was leader of UKiP ...nothings changed it's still the same hate filled village idiots but now they're called The Brexit Party. How the hell is anybody supposed to negotiate with any of them? They're like a group of uneducated spoiled children that can't get their tiny brains around the fact that their fantasies of leaving the EU and turning the UK into a tax haven benefiting only the super rich whilst everyone else suffers or "goes home" is a total disaster in the making despite still being supported by the Conservatives. Let's hope Theresa May comes to the realization that she's been right royally stitched up by her so called party and either revokes Article 50 or calls a General Election as a parting gift. She'd definitely be remembered!

Stormzy Stab Vest by Banksy, by mojo on Jul 2, 2019 18:08:34 GMT 1, WOW the perfect outfit for the job well on point and looked incredible. He only had to ask and he could of borrowed mine, created by War Boutique. We certainly need some Metropolitan Peace in this city right now.

Brexit, by mojo on Jun 26, 2019 16:26:36 GMT 1, I wonder if he paints massive racist slogans and outright lies about the N.H.S on his wine box crate creations? BACK BORIS (into a small padded cell then lock door and run).

Banksy at RA summer exhibition , by mojo on Jun 13, 2019 23:39:47 GMT 1, The rat is definitely different - it is more freehand painted than stencilled. It is also skinnier and has more definition than previous Banksy rodents. rat looks like its hand painted instead of stencil for sure The rats are far leaner & meaner nowadays.
I suppose its far quicker to hand paint than all that cutting a stencil palaver
