First Tattoo, by settingson on Mar 12, 2015 11:48:16 GMT 1, Good advice tommyb. I wanted a tattoo for most of my life. I have yet to find one that I would have wanted for the rest of my life. I am now 40 and without tattoo. Like Heroin, I think I'm going to wait until my mid 90s before getting involved. Much less time to regret the decision that way. Haha...I'm of exactly the same thoughts but now 50! That said I think that it's about time I did look into it a bit more purposefully and maybe find out if I can find a design that I like.

WTB sandra chevrier - la cage au clair de la lune (marilyn), by settingson on Mar 5, 2015 17:07:55 GMT 1, Getting one into the UK on release cost me just under £250 with import fees so in fairness they weren't particularly cheap to buy at the time. Would say it's a more popular print than some of the more recent and they seem to hover around the £450 mark on ebay so anything upwards from there I suppose. $2500, well that would be lovely and in fact you could all form an orderly queue for mine but I think you would have to be very impatient, very rich and with cash to burn to pay that.

To my knowledge it seems alot of these ended in Norway. Just wondering if its only here she's popular.. Mine has ended up having a lie down on my coffee table in the UK if that helps! lol

Sandra Chevrier • The Cage Prints, by settingson on Feb 26, 2015 11:24:57 GMT 1, I found it a little ambiguous too but I was leaning towards it meaning the actual new release page myself rather than the main site. Only my opinion though.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by settingson on Feb 25, 2015 16:42:04 GMT 1, Just got back the first prints I have ever sent for proper framing, (courtesy of Mr Frameman), and so pleased with the results and how the colours in the prints stand out. Kept them all simple and floated but think they work well. Have realised now that wall space required is a lot more than it seems when buying the prints in the first place!!

Eine valentines print release, by settingson on Feb 15, 2015 16:12:01 GMT 1, A little knack that I saw described on here. Go to the sold listing, click on the 'see original listing' and bring it back up as the original listing. Then press the 'print' button and the offer price accepted shows up on the actual screen in the 'Best Offer' section. Nice one settingson, much appreciated. Lots of money and time now saved. No problem. It always makes interesting viewing to see the price differences!

Cheap Chevrier, by settingson on Feb 3, 2015 12:26:52 GMT 1, Mine has just arrived today too. Good sharp image on a sturdy card. Almost but not quite fits into an Ikea frame and mount as purchased but with a bit of black felt behind it hides the thin slither at the top that would show. Thanks to the OP for the link to this, purchased an extra one as a present as well.

Eine valentines print release, by settingson on Jan 22, 2015 20:19:52 GMT 1, I had the same thoughts that the X doesn't really look right. Maybe in colour it will flow better. As I have a set of the E's I was quite looking forward to seeing these and maybe heading down to try and get a set but not convinced at the moment.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by settingson on Jan 16, 2015 13:40:19 GMT 1, I really like to see the creativity that people put into displaying their artwork and these are fantastic examples. Looks really impressive and as mentioned by taking a more active part in the display of the art it must be very gratifying. Congratulations on your efforts.

Carl Cashman 🇬🇧 New Painting • Print Release, by settingson on Dec 15, 2014 21:35:21 GMT 1, This reminds me of an album cover- for the life of me I cant remember it though I know what you mean and I cant remember either so not a lot of help. Silver grey background with angled die cuts was OMD - Further Manoeuvres. Has similarities but not sure that's the one.
Was thinking around New Order, PWEI sort of era!

SNIK soul's apart print edition released fri 12th dec 3pm, by settingson on Dec 12, 2014 16:16:45 GMT 1, Liked the composition of the pink but preferred blue as a dress colour! Was in a bit of a quandary as I love SNIK's work.

Harland Miller • Who Cares Wins Print, by settingson on Dec 5, 2014 17:58:40 GMT 1, Have to say I love some of the titles and to me that is probably more what would appeal more in making a purchase rather than the artistry of the print itself, although I do appreciate the quality of the work! The title to me is what first gives it the impact. That said the impressive nature of the size and display of some of those shown do make them look fantastic. At £3000 I would need a lottery win to tempt me but in reply to the 'would I buy at £50' then hell yeah I would!

angel 41 : 2014, by settingson on Dec 4, 2014 16:49:17 GMT 1, Love my 'Problem Shared' print and if funds would have allowed then the 'Semtex on Legs' would have been a definite buy for me as I think it looks stunning. Some really great pieces there.

Maya Hayuk - Multiverses #2 - Available Now!, by settingson on Dec 2, 2014 3:10:53 GMT 1, I would love one but too costly for me, just cannot pull the trigger! Would like to get one and pass it on to those expressing the Maya love that were looking previously who aren't night owls but unfortunately too heavy a price tag to risk it.

D*Face FRAMED, by settingson on Dec 1, 2014 21:27:53 GMT 1, Personally I find this post really refreshing. Buying a print because you really like it and then being prepared to take a hit on potential future investment value to get the image displayed exactly how you would like it. Looks superb and I take my hat off to you as to me that is true appreciation of the print!

New Dank piece in Camden, by settingson on Nov 29, 2014 18:58:59 GMT 1, So chuffed, that on one of my very rare excursions into London I literally stumbled on Dan adding the finishing touches to a new wall piece in Camden. Always liked his work so was absolutely made up to turn a corner and see him with cans in hand spraying away! What a really nice guy as well as had a few words with him and watched him take time to have pics taken with the intrigued tourists, (yeah, I admit it, and me as well! lol). Just posting a couple of taster pics as I know Dan often posts his work on here so wouldn't want to pre-empt him posting up the finished article.

Graffiti Prints Release this week, by settingson on Nov 27, 2014 15:39:44 GMT 1, It doesn't say anything about a hand-finished climber... apparently my reading comprehension is off.. On the email I received today it said a 'variant edition' at £250. Not sure what that entails tbh?

What is the Absolute easiest way to store a print?, by settingson on Nov 25, 2014 23:00:45 GMT 1, If you're in the uk then the range usually has a1 foam board in. Two of those and store between. Seperate prints with acid free craft paper the prints usually come in the tube with. I got four bits for ten quid.
I used this method initially and have since splashed out on acid free sleeves and proper folders but with a couple of good bulldog clips those foam boards worked well.
