Blek Le Rat โข The Warrior, by settingson on Feb 17, 2018 11:37:05 GMT 1, Buy now sell for cost later if you donโt like Kick yourself later if you decided you should of bought And guaranteed to get cost back if you do not like Agree with this. I was a few minutes late to the party for a Crooner Rat but then was emailed back with the offer of an AP at 100euros more which I thought was a bit too expensive for me for a small print so I decided not to buy. Oh how I have regretted it!!! Wasn't so keen on the Apocalypse rat but this one I like so happily thrownmy hat in the ring for one.

The Connor Brothers ๐ฌ๐ง Mike Snelle & James Golding, by settingson on Feb 14, 2018 16:40:55 GMT 1, Saw one of these framed up and was very impressed with how it looked. Very striking and looked far more expensive than it is. Unfortunately too big for the space I have available atm but I have always been drawn to this print. Keep intending to pick up a showcard with it on as I've seen them on the bay but never got round to it. Now am I sure I haven't got space for it! lol

David Shrigley - Be Nice, by settingson on Feb 8, 2018 12:17:20 GMT 1, Had one in basket at ยฃ1800 but couldn't justify that to myself. Would have bitten if the code came earlier but there are some great prints by other artists on the secondary at that price point where I have far more desire for the image. Would have been a nice print to have on the wall but unfortunately I only saw it as that....'nice'

New PREF ID Print "No Me Without You", by settingson on Feb 7, 2018 19:17:06 GMT 1, Was a bit confused on the title at first but having looked at the lettering I can see the 'me' and 'you' now. Very cleverly done but must admit it went over my head on first viewing!!

POW CLOSING DOWN - SALE ENDS 31ST DECEMBER 2017, by settingson on Feb 6, 2018 12:50:12 GMT 1, Is anyone else still waiting on a purchase? I bought a Mighty Mo several weeks ago and havenโt received anything to date. Iโm patient but wanted to seee if others were also still waiting. Last minute impulse buy on the final day and still waiting here! Might be a few of us in the same boat on this but I'm sure they will arrive sometime!

When it got bought it was sideways on and I didn't even noticed the face! Obvious once the right way up and seeing the source imagery! lol

Your latest Art Purchase?, by settingson on Jan 31, 2018 19:25:44 GMT 1, Today's purchase All of ยฃ6!!
No idea of artist, frame is horrendous and not even sure what way up it goes but the printing is vivid and the colours, especially the gold really pop out. It's very striking! Has a Lichtenstein look but on a reverse image search an Escher piece titled Rind came up as the nearest match so I'm guessing this is based on his work. Anyway, I'm looking forward to taking the frame apart to reframe it and maybe finding out more. Who says art need be expensive!

Tagging organs!, by settingson on Jan 12, 2018 21:31:28 GMT 1, It's odd because on here it's more desired with a signature!
Joking apart it's a bit strange but tbh if it was me I would just be happy to have received the transplant and not really too concerned as I doubt he would have done it if it influenced the success rate of the procedure.

Ai Weiwei Odyssey Print, by settingson on Dec 6, 2017 15:50:13 GMT 1, 100 US plus shipping and duty. Iโm happy to take offers but Iโm not selling at cost. Iโm also not flipping. Youโre selling below cost then? To get mine in hand with all duties etc paid in the UK was ยฃ149. Was most expensive shipping and duty I've had on a lower value print. Don't intend it to side either way to the posts above but just thought I would mention it as the fees p#ssed me off a bit.

closed, by settingson on Nov 27, 2017 15:08:14 GMT 1, Hi. I'm still on the lookout for one last black 'Terror' canvas by Beejoir. As you can see in the picture I have added, I'm going for a group of six. If anybody is looking to sell, get in touch via PM. I'd love to be able to wrap this little project up by the end of the year. Thanks, have a great day everyone!
No idea who they are or price but remembered seeing this the other day.

Banksy โข Sale Ends Today, by settingson on Nov 27, 2017 14:08:24 GMT 1, I couldn't disagree more, either with you or with those who say stuff along the lines of: "Iโm sure the guys at pow would be happy to know they helped a family out by choosing them to win a print." Of course I have no idea of their intentions, but if they wanted to make charitable donations to help out struggling families they could have done so. What they did was sell a print by an artist whose work is normally unachievably expensive for all but a tiny few, for a price which, while hardly negligible, was achievable for many. It is my opinion - and I write as someone who got a print, rather than out of jealousy - that those who won the chance to buy it should hang it and enjoy it. If they were unable to afford it, they shoudn't have bought it. If they didn't like it, they shouldn't have bought it. It really is that simple. Of course the print's owners can now expect to sell it for *insert random large sum of money here* and most people's bank account would look a lot better with *random large sum of money* inside it, but anyone who sells it for a massively inflated price has also denied a Banksy fan who has never been able to afford his prints, who would have loved this print and framed it and enjoyed it, the chance to do so. And, whatever is motivating their sale, they should feel guilty about it. It is not snobbishness to think that the owners of this print, or of ยฃ10 Soup Can posters, should feel some kind of duty to those who sold them so cheaply. Whatever motivated POW, I think it's unlikely (and the delayed COA proves it) that what lay behind it all was a desire to make a hefty donation to your Christmas holiday fund. You say that "keeping a print worth ยฃ15,000+ is simply not an option", but this is an artwork, not a banknote, and one that was sold days ago for a fraction of that price. If all you see when you look at your Sale Ends is ยฃ15,000+, and all you see when you look at your Soup Cans is ยฃ800, you need to have a long, hard look at yourself. Sell the print now if you want - we've all got to make a living somehow - but spare me the sanctimonious justification and admit to yourself as you do so that you are a parasite, that your self-enrichment has a cost and furthermore that it is, surely, a direct affront to the intentions of the people who sold it to you. I think you proved his point. I saw โas someone who got a printโ and my eyes glazed over a little bit. Not sure what world youโve been living in but the majority of banksy owners are the EXACT people who look at their prints and see the monetary value. I think you should get off the pedestal and think about criticizing them instead of the hypothetical lottery who may sell cause the value is 10x they make in a month. Don't usually get involved in this type of debate because people aren't going to change their opinion no matter which side of the fence they sit but just felt compelled to throw a few comments in. I tried but didn't get one but realistically it wasn't good odds so no problem on that from me.
For some that did it could potentially indeed be life changing amounts and who can really blame them for selling? I buy artwork that I like to go on the wall and a 'Sale Ends' at ยฃ500 I probably feel I could justify it but I wouldn't be able to spend ยฃ15000 as it's unrealistic for me. And being perfectly blunt about it ยฃ500 for the majority be they a Banksy fan or not is actually not affordable. Therefore if through no fault of my own a collector wanted to pay me a vastly inflated sum of money for it if it had become part of my collection and it would help my day to day life then I would have felt no guilt in selling it. Think it's grossly unfair to call people parasites for selling. It was a lottery and they got lucky, pure and simple. Plenty of artwork out there to go on the wall and replace it with and if I had won one and decided to sell it doesn't mean I'm not still an art lover. In all honesty a sale like that would be 10X the value of my car. I could probably push the boat out and buy a more expensive one but it's reliable and it does what I want it to do and I prefer to use those funds for hobbies and family. Same with the artwork, I want to see it on the wall and enjoy it but if it comes to it and the value explodes I would contemplate selling as I have other pieces I would be just as happy to display if it came to it. The reason for the artwork is to display and enjoy. Does it matter if it's a Banksy, Dran, Chevrier, or Whatson or your kids school pictures as long as it makes you happy when you see it
It was a lottery and as such some deserving will have got them, some deserving will not have regardless of their financial situation. No complaints from me here and pleased to see plenty of forum members get them. For those that are getting it onto the wall I salute you and know that you appreciate it. For those that choose to sell it and buy a car, take a holiday or just lead a more financially secure life I salute your good fortune and wish you well.
Now I know why I don't usually comment!!! Takes far too much time!! lol

Iโve missed out by being on the wrong page before Always seems to happen to me too! Think it's best o stay on the new release page as sometimes the product page gets it URL changed to try and combat the bots!

Felipe Pantone ๐ฆ๐ท Exhibition News โข Contemporary Art , by settingson on Nov 15, 2017 18:16:11 GMT 1, Up now - Decisions decisions!!!! I'm thinking this one may sit. I think this was way too quick after last 2 releases and the last 2 seemed much more desirable while many think this is too busy. We shall see though. I like this one and don't mind it being a bit busier but have so many in the framing queue already that it's unreal!

Bob & Roberta Smith limited edition - ยฃ5, by settingson on Nov 15, 2017 17:46:26 GMT 1, No shrigley in stock now but if you want any of the others I'll order extras and ship over to you at cost. Just let me know quickish!!
Appreciate it -wanted a billy but shipping seems crazy Got an extra Billy so I can check weight and a precise shipping cost from UK when it arrives. If it's not silly money and you would like it then I can ping it over to you. No problem if not, it'll make a nice little stocking filler for someone.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by settingson on Nov 10, 2017 13:01:33 GMT 1,
Just found out there was a Blue version as well. For obvious reasons being a City fan that appeals to me. Does anyone know anywhere that I might be able to pick one up as it doesn't seem to have come out through his normal channels?
In case nobody mentioned it, both red and blue sold out at the buy art show on Saturday morning!
I am pleased to report that with a bit of investigative work, and some helpful responses from some really nice people I managed to source one at cost. Just waiting for delivery now! Happy Days!!!

Graffiti Prints Vault, by settingson on Nov 10, 2017 12:54:19 GMT 1, Anyone know how much the Martin whatson en pointe went for? I keep missing that. She seems to be my unicorn Pretty sure the standard edition was ยฃ1250. Only took notice as I sold mine a while back and I have actually noticed that it's back up for sale on ebay atm. History of that one is that I had it framed by MFM and it was due to have the tagged spacers. Unfortunately a bit of a hiccup and it came back without them. In the meantime I picked up a Climber and decided the tagged spacers were more suited to that. Gary put them in the Climber and I let the En Pointe go. The Climber has been on my wall ever since and it looks like the En Pointe never made the wall with the new owner either! I guess that you're in the US by your user name so as it's framed it's probably not an option for you unfortunately.

Stik Artwork, VALUATION, by settingson on Nov 7, 2017 21:53:07 GMT 1, Can anyone give me a price point on the set of 4 UK signed Stik big issue posters if I was buying as a set? Thanks in advance Last Ebay set of signed sold ยฃ620 Unsigned sold around the ยฃ250 mark. Bear in mind that it's ebay and can be manipulated, shilled and god knows what else but hey ho, those are the last few sets I have seen. Quite fancied the unsigned but it shot up in the last few minutes and I wasn't that keen!!
Can anyone give me a price point on the set of 4 UK signed Stik big issue posters if I was buying as a set? Thanks in advance Last Ebay set of signed sold ยฃ620 Unsigned sold around the ยฃ250 mark. Bear in mind that it's ebay and can be manipulated, shilled and god knows what else but hey ho, those are the last few sets I have seen. Quite fancied the unsigned but it shot up in the last few minutes and I wasn't that keen!!

Sandra Chevrier Martin Whatson SOLD !, by settingson on Nov 6, 2017 12:51:55 GMT 1, Good day to you all, I'm planning a new world tour in order to photograph some more sharks and frankly I would like you to pay for that. But since I am not an unreasonable person I will supply you with one of my rarest prints. This is a Transfer Print of the Sandra Chevrier / Martin Whatson collab La Cage et les Deux Ames - The cage and the two Souls Only 9 were made - never released !This was made by putting aceton on a main edition print and transferring the disolved ink onto white paper. That's why it's the mirror image of the regular print. It is signed by both Sandra and Martin. It has been framed with AR glass by "Framie" of Anything Framed, who was also responsible for the 60+ frames at the Graffiti Prints display at Urban Nation in Berlin. A similar one was at display at GP in Berlin as shown below and priced at GPB 3.600. Mine can be obtained for GPB 3.000 + shipping + PayPal fees.
I have asked Framie for advice and it could be removed rather easily without damage. This will not have any effect on the price, but it will save you on shipping. I am based in Amsterdam area, so I can drop it by for you in a radius of Amsterdam/Paris/Berlin. For fuel and a night in a cheap hotel. Plus breakfast. Of course. I have done many transaction on the forum as can be seen in my footer, so feel free to ask around. Most members I have dealt with are online quite often. Item will be sent in the packaging I received it in, since besides prints I also hoard the packages. I have even added some extra padding, so I am confident it will arrive safely. So now time for some pics you are of course anxious to see by now. So thank you for your attention. Drop me a PM if you have any questions. No need to low ball me, although I do like a good laugh. I will travel regardless of selling this or not. Best regards, Jedi I saw a picture of this around the time of the exhibition and loved it, Only problem is that I like having two kidneys and would have to sell one to buy it!! Temptation of the first degree!!!

Your latest Art Purchase?, by settingson on Nov 5, 2017 20:42:01 GMT 1, Ben Eine prints aren't normally my thing, but finally something I can relate to of his. Not seen anything mentioned on them on here, sold at the Buy Art Fair in Manchester last week
Just found out there was a Blue version as well. For obvious reasons being a City fan that appeals to me. Does anyone know anywhere that I might be able to pick one up as it doesn't seem to have come out through his normal channels?
