Tabby 🇦🇹 Street Art • New Print Release , by NYart on Jun 27, 2016 23:13:36 GMT 1, The release was kinda posted out of order. The Michelangelo canvas was the release and there was the option to add the brexit piece on paper to the order for 50€, think it was just intended to be an amusing little stencil.

Why has Banksy abandoned making art for the common collector?, by NYart on Jun 27, 2016 11:16:22 GMT 1, I get things began to get crazy around his releases, but people saying it wasn't worth the hassle to release anymore act as if he was packaging, shipping, and dealing with customer service himself.. That I could see it not being worthwhile for him. But distancing himself from his people, his real fans who aren't solely buying his art as an investment doesn't make sense.
I like to believe he's going to sell as much top dollar VIP crap as possible before churning out prints for the masses.

Dolk Rip On / Rip Off May 24th , by NYart on Jun 15, 2016 13:59:25 GMT 1, Doesn't appear to be a mistake, I got the email too. Bummed because I'd really like the limited edition but not for that much. Seems to be pricing it like a true original when it seems more comparable to just a hand finished piece.

America and guns.........again !!!, by NYart on Jun 13, 2016 23:31:24 GMT 1, The problem with that would be how does one get added to the terrorist watch list? Is it an arbitrary process that could be abused to keep guns out of those who are critical of the government or..? I've read an article about a professor from Columbia who was added to the no fly list because of a televised lecture critical of GW Bush. Just wondering do you consider climate change a real phenomenon ?
I do, i'm not a dumbass just because I'm not nieve enough to believe that governments would never abuse their power or the rights of their citizens lol

America and guns.........again !!!, by NYart on Jun 13, 2016 19:46:29 GMT 1, That is the most f**ked up twisting of "facts" I've ever read! Hilarious!! Saying you're not so bad as some pretty dangerous other countries is not a solution Australia is the perfect example. Used to have a similar problem. Banned guns. Problem got better. It's really simple. And the number of people who saved themselves from an attack with their own gun... Hardly ever happens. Sorry.
Hardly ever happens? Try daily. They just don't make headlines because it doesn't fit the agenda. Follow the news links before you claim bias, the articles don't originate from the NRA. www.nraila.org/gun-laws/armed-citizen/
But while i can't argue that a comparison between the US and a third world country isn't ideal, neither is us and Europe. Economic factors are the only thing in common, and that's not the only cause of violence.

America and guns.........again !!!, by NYart on Jun 13, 2016 19:32:24 GMT 1, "Thought crime" doesn't exist... Yet. (They're working on it) Ah, yes, hadn't thought of that. I can see where you are coming from. Thanks. Is that why it was blocked? Or was it blocked because it would be unconstitutional?

America and guns.........again !!!, by NYart on Jun 13, 2016 18:30:32 GMT 1, Here's a good article that shows another perspective to Americas murder rate. Everyone shows graphs comparing our gun violence/homicide rate vs Europe, and tries to infer the only difference is our gun laws so that must be the issue.

America and guns.........again !!!, by NYart on Jun 13, 2016 15:07:04 GMT 1, So it was a mentally unstable lone gunman who committed the act. Yet it's the republican party's fault? You could and should just as easily blame ISIS since they hold even more extreme views against the LGBT community, especially considering he pledged allegiance to them, where do you even see anything to do with him being republican? The republicans may not support the LGBT's but they don't encourage violence against them.
If you have a bone to pick with the republicans or don't like trump that's fine but forcing a connection where there is none just discredits the rest of your arguments.

America and guns.........again !!!, by NYart on Jun 13, 2016 13:46:32 GMT 1, An American born and bred citizen, schooled on the hatred that Fox News spews out day in, day out, educated by the American education system, a card carrying republican with ambitions to be a police officer, walks into a store, buys enough arms and ammunition to start a small war, slaughters 50 of his own fellow nationals, and you want to talk about IS ? Yes This is terrorism, this is ISIL. This is happening world wide on a daily basis. Deadliest mass shooting in US History but not the world. I just think in 'this case', all this talk about American gun laws are irrelevant, its ISIL people should be discussing.
When it happened in France there wasn't a mention of their gun laws, different laws same tragedy. What a surprise, criminals don't follow laws!

America and guns.........again !!!, by NYart on Jun 13, 2016 13:30:43 GMT 1, Surely a terrorist attack, one of a number of attacks that have happened world wide should promt a discussion on ISIL. Rather than USA's antiquated gun laws. An American born and bred citizen, schooled on the hatred that Fox News spews out day in, day out, educated by the American education system, a card carrying republican with ambitions to be a police officer, walks into a store, buys enough arms and ammunition to start a small war, slaughters 50 of his own fellow nationals, and you want to talk about IS ? [/br]
Does Fox News, the American education system, or the Republican Party encourage American citizens to shoot up a club? No. So when an individual chooses to carry out a terrorist attack in the name of a terrorist group who accepts the credit of course the discussion should be about their influence.
99% of the America educated, Fox News watching, republicans do not do this. So when one does and you blame everyone besides the individual your doing the exact same thing as those blaming Muslims as a whole for the extremists actions.

America and guns.........again !!!, by NYart on Jun 13, 2016 12:53:37 GMT 1, And why are they War zones exactly ? because the US Govt at the behest of their corporate allies create them in order to profit a) by selling weapons and b) by rebuilding the infrastructure they wreck. The fact that young disillusioned mentally ill brainwashed republicans can gain access to AR 15 semi automatic weapons and take out their frustrations against minorities, needs to be tackled at source.
I don't disagree that the intervention in the Middle East contributed greatly to where we are at today, that's not to say there weren't serious issues there previously. But that doesn't change the fact that both Europe and the US needs to be careful with who they're allowing in.
Young, disillusioned, mentally ill, and brainwashed republicans? Those are the criteria you want to ban guns from? I'm all for making sure those diagnosed with a mental disorder are not allowed to obtain guns, but its exaggeration and taking it too far like that, that makes gun supporters draw the line earlier than it probably should be drawn. Instead of being realistic and practical to what the problem is (mental illness with guns) it becomes about competent law abiding citizens and their guns, and that's why nothing gets accomplished.

America and guns.........again !!!, by NYart on Jun 13, 2016 11:18:41 GMT 1, You can blame guns all you want, but at the end of the day if someone wants to do something horrible they will find a way to get it done one way or another. There's no reason responsible law abiding citizens should not be able to own a weapon. Should it be harder for individuals to purchase a firearm? Probably. But if you give an inch they take a mile unfortunately. Australia and New Zealand currently have the issue that the only people with guns are the criminals, and I can imagine it is not unlike that in much of Europe. Id rather be on the right end of the gun when my house is broken into not waiting 10 minutes for some one to come save me when I'm perfectly competent to defend myself. Trump wants to regulate people (Muslims) as do his base (GOP), but you all are too cowardly to call for regulation of guns? Cognitive dissonance, by definition.
Well you didn't address any of my points, just took a shot at a presidental candidate and insulted Americans in general but sure I'll bite.
Regulating Muslims clearly isn't a solution, and while I will be voting for Trump I do not support it, and in the context of Muslims as a whole very few people do GOP or not. However when it comes to those coming from war zones like Syria, Iraq or any other country with active terrorist groups I do believe it's only common sense to scrutinize them further. Considering those claiming refugee status in Europe have already carried out attacks its not hard to think it's likely to happen again. It's unfortunate the minority of the refugees are casting a suspicion over them as a whole but can you blame the government for prioritizing its citizens safety first?
To your second point, can you show me an example of someone choosing not to "call for regulation out of cowardice"? Many of us do not want it. A good guy with a gun can save as many lives as a maniac with a gun can take. The only difference being good guy won't have a gun when they're "regulated", if someone intends on going on a rampage violating a gun law is rather insignificant.

New DRAN solo show 2016, by NYart on Jun 9, 2016 21:37:11 GMT 1, Looks like there may only be one print, all hand finished, Ed of 88. Do you know of which image?
No, sorry, just saw a little teaser of him numbering the prints. But they said "these are only 88 prints" so it doesn't seem like there's going to be more than one image unfortunately.
