Sold, by NYart on Jun 7, 2016 20:46:38 GMT 1, No worries, interested myself. Would be nice for some members with COA's to take some good hi res pictures, and maybe others with for sure genuine tenners to get measurements and weights. If we had a solid thread with good information I'm sure many people would benefit from it.

Sold, by NYart on Jun 7, 2016 19:47:15 GMT 1, If you have a tenner COA see if you can't get a high res shot of her eye lol, can't imagine a copy could reproduce a minuscule detail like the pattern of dots in a specific spot.
As far as the weight though, let's say a forger convinced everyone a real tenner weighed 1.34. Wouldn't that mean every copy/forger there after would need to use the same paper to get the size and weight right in order for it to have the 'correct' weight?

Sold, by NYart on Jun 7, 2016 19:28:59 GMT 1, Only way to tell is to compare it to a pest control one... That's what I would say. I can't pin point where the weight aspect came about and where the barometer for this weight came about. OP, where did you find the weight measurements?
I first came across it on expressobeans but just kinda figured it was common knowledge haha

Sold, by NYart on Jun 7, 2016 15:58:07 GMT 1, There's several things to look for, size, weight, and printing type, which are all correct on mine, but short of that not really unfortunately. If you had proof of it coming from Lazarides that's about the only sure thing.

MBW New Release, by NYart on Jun 4, 2016 15:03:33 GMT 1, MBW release? Where? Its his talentless sons garbage that they are force feeding down flippers throats. It was released yesterday and not sold out. It most likely wont be sold out for awhile if at all. Awful failed hype. 7k for a canvas lol. People wont be fooled with his sons doo doo.
4/6 of the canvas editions have sold out lmao. Might not be on the level of Brainwash but that's $84,000 off just the canvases already sold, can't call that failed hype. Pretty ridiculous, wonder how many times removed the Banksy connection can be and still sell pieces lol. I got to imagine if Hijack promoted someone they'd be able to sell some overpriced pieces.

Straight to EBay, by NYart on Jun 3, 2016 17:45:41 GMT 1, I guess it would be the best way to minimize the likely hood they are flipped, also likely maximizing their profit. The one downside I can see it being that they probably would vary in selling price annoying a lot of real fans who ended up spending more than they should have/needed to in order to get the piece they wanted.
I can't say I'd be 'happy' with it but it would probably improve my chances of being able to buy the piece if I wanted it enough.

Kunstrasen Can Solo Blue Canvas for sale., by NYart on Jun 3, 2016 17:37:52 GMT 1, wakeskater It was basically 350Euro Plus 70Euro Postage I guess. I would need somewhere similar to the postage above because it's a canvas so I'd say £50. I am looking for any offer above£400 Thanks Suga Did they really charge 70 Euro shipping on the Can Solos??? ...within Europe??? Just asking because I was told by them a lower price on the bigger canvases. If they really charged that much on shipping I can only apologize...not only an insult for my supporters but also for me since they then obviously lied to me about what they would charge. Anyone remembers what they charged for shipping for the print?
Shipping was a flat 45€ worldwide and then depending on actual cost they said they would refund the difference, being in the US that was apparently actual cost for the print.

Share the STIK love!, by NYart on May 27, 2016 1:31:13 GMT 1, Never understood the appeal to stik. Various stik figures in different poses and sizes.. I was the same way for a long time, then I bought his book and my thinking changed. Worth taking a look at if your in a book shot that carries it or I think its worth the 20 quid. If you don't like it, i'll buy the book back off you at cost 20 quid. I just gave my one away and was about to order one.
I'll have to keep an eye out. What about the book really caught your interest?

Art Restoration in LONDON 🇬🇧 Who do you Recommend?, by NYart on May 14, 2016 0:36:20 GMT 1, Well the reason a lot of people around here have unframed prints is lack of wall space, I'm quickly getting there myself. Along with which framing costs add up almost as quick as the expensive pieces were buying lol. So it's not necessarily always people buying for resale that they aren't getting their prints framed.
The reason people prefer to buy prints unframed is shipping costs skyrocket if sold framed. Also damage is a significant concern of buying a framed or previously framed piece. If it was stored flat and acid free the whole time you have less to worry about as far as Knicks and dings or someone using tape or something else damaging in the framing process.

Flipping Art • The Debate, by NYart on May 6, 2016 21:28:52 GMT 1, If the hope that the value of a piece would increase is not a factor to you why would you collect limited edition collectible artwork? Go print off a copy of your favorite art for your walls if the value is of no importance to you. Sure you may not care if it doesn't appreciate in value if you truly enjoy it, but I don't believe anyone who says they wouldn't like their art gaining value.
All the art on my walls I really like. But at a point if they become worth more than I personally value them, I'd sell them. Which may not be as annoying to others as flipping prints before the inks dry but it the mindset is no different. They buy an inexpensive new release and others value it more than it was released for, they don't. Either blame the artist for not selling their art for the market price (ensuring it ends up in the hands of true collectors) or pay whoever was lucky enough to land the print and enjoy your art.
If everyone here who says flipping is such a terrible thing truly believed it we'd be seeing many more pieces going for cost.

Kunstrasen Appreciation Thread, by NYart on May 5, 2016 17:23:25 GMT 1, I think quite a few translate well into the street, but I can't really think of any that don't work inside at all. Fencers, a kid could do that, and a couple others on the other hand really wouldn't work outside without anything to tear/cut/burn.
