Damien Hirst H4 โข Veils, by blerd on Aug 15, 2018 9:11:18 GMT 1, They said wait two weeks from time of application for Heni to process and allocate. Is that while they wait for the decision makers of Heni to come back from holiday? What could possibly make their process take 2 weeks? Laughable that people are prepared to accept that. Agreed. IMO the concept of these being first come first served is dubious for that exact reason.

Oli Epp ๐ฌ๐ง Post-Digital Pop โข New Painting โข Art For Sale, by blerd on Aug 14, 2018 14:10:27 GMT 1, The printing quality and paper stock on Carpe is noticeably superior to be honest. I've always been impressed with the quality of Jealous galleries prints. I've not seen the quality of the French Oli Epp print but it was about half the cost of carpe from memory, and half as many colours too.
Agreed. I think the fact they print in house shows the care and attention. I like the fact that Carpe is part of Oli winning the Jealous prize aswell.

Banksy Photo Prints by James Pfaff, by blerd on Aug 14, 2018 12:39:32 GMT 1, Yep, 490 remaining Monkey Mask Tag, 493 of Happy Chopper, 492 of pixelated photo, 99 of Painting Canvas 1 and none sold of canvas 2 (both edition of 100).ย 5 pages in and so far ony 26 sold from all combined editions of 1700 + AP's.ย The demand is obvious.ย
ยฃ347,054.91 for the editions of 500 + 3 APs, + another ยฃ72.097.94 for the 2 new editions of 100 + 3 AP's = ยฃ419,152.85.ย The supply is obvious.
If these were priced at around the ยฃ50 per print - then the demand for the supply would have been even more significantly obvious.
Interesting. If they were between 50-100 I think they'd be going pretty quickly and people may buy multiples of each. Interesting to think about how much money the artist could have in sales if they were at lower amount. I'd be very tempted of they were in that price range.
With respect itโs not interesting in the slightest. My comment was an attempt at humour. Clearly waisted. ๐

Banksy Photo Prints by James Pfaff, by blerd on Aug 14, 2018 11:17:21 GMT 1, agreed with Dappy here - iconic images with a connection to Banksy and a limited run so makes them collectible. my bet is a year from now they'll be sold here for significantly more due to simple rule of supply and demand. Nope... its all about elasticity of supply and demand ... .dappy

Damien Hirst H4 โข Veils, by blerd on Aug 14, 2018 10:38:15 GMT 1, Koons, Hirst and Brainwash are doing the same thing. It's the old story about selling and marketing a product rather than the product itself. Saatchi was good at it and so are others, hisrt follows saatchi and the art worl revolves around this stuff. People buy into it being great art because the publicity tells them it is great art and because many people dont wan't to left out they join the herd that gets fleeced. The billionaire and mega rich usually new rich which buy big flashy art sculptures to put in their tax deductable collections often are pretentious full of themselves and love big flashy pieces that look like they are movie props from some Chinese kung pow movie. There is nothing fresh or original about Hirsts latest output. He made his name by gimmicks funded and promoted by Saatchi. He stole because he had no originality and went for the flashy stuff to appeal to flashy people. he is still stealing and putting his brand name on it as in ripping off Benin bronze sculpture. Nearly all of his art has been made by some production team or assistants. After all it is all about the ideas and concept isn't it. So he steals from others and gets it mad eby others. His last lot of paintings got panned by all the art critics, as in cheesy Bacon amatuerish. This last lot of paintings have been done by better artists for valid reasons. If an unknown had done these stupidly named set of dotty splodgy paintings, no one would be remotely interested. Hirst has lost his confidence in himself as an artist hence playing safe and painting these splodgies because after all it is virtually impossible to f**kup splodging paint all over a canvas and with the right marketing and oh so pseudo faux de luxe names the Hirstinistas will queue up to buy them because after all mega rich billionaires tax dodgers buy the big flashy Hirst statues etc. Look ma, we made it, I own a Hirst (print on tin) I am looking forward to Hirsts next release, probably in his pink underpants which will be available in an unlimited edition. I can't believe I'm typing this, but I actually agree with much of this. Having said that, please stop now...Pretty please. Ps. the veil paintings are good.

Damien Hirst H4 โข Veils, by blerd on Aug 12, 2018 23:26:03 GMT 1, Don't give up the day job or GCSE economics. ;-). I thought supply and demand doesn't apply to the Art Market. Oh only Hirst can release 300 prints then another 800 and the price go up. ... its all about elasticity of supply and demand ... I thought I had already taught people that ... A Level Economics ... I finally understand! if anyone else is confused, this should clarify:
The price elasticity of supply = % change in quantity supplied / % change in price. When calculating the price elasticity of supply, economists determine whether the quantity supplied of a good is elastic or inelastic. PES > 1: Supply is elastic. PES < 1: Supply is inelastic.

Damien Hirst H4 โข Veils, by blerd on Aug 12, 2018 20:34:00 GMT 1, Supply is too high, demand is too low and they are unsigned. It's that simple. Christies sold one in March, that went for a bit, havent checked Sothebys. You had one member on here recently struggling to sell one for a lot less, and there are a few sets on ebay. After all these are cheaper than auction house prices, so why are they still available? Don't give up the day job or GCSE economics. ;-). I thought supply and demand doesn't apply to the Art Market. Hajime Sorayama ๐ฏ๐ต Sexy Robot โข Kaws โข Art For Sale , by blerd on Aug 12, 2018 16:28:39 GMT 1, This is sarcastic: "So in other words, please buy these UAA so eBay listings can be u-)pdated from flop to SOLD OUT.๐" I get it you "woke up on the wrong side of the bed". Own it and an apology is easier to accept. The idea of pumping and dumping Sorayama a cult Artist that many people haven't even heard of is silly. Your Hirst post as a far further reach. As I said before. if you smelt it you dealt it. My apologies, it was sarcasm. I admit it, I was sarcastic. Not sure how was my Hirst annoucement a reach. Posted that one as soon as I received the email and before I secured one myself. Regretted posting it really, as I missed out on my first choice likely due to it. I think most stopped posted releases because the forum is mostly for flippers to advertise. Seeing many posts disguised as goodwill, even entire threads created to start artificial drops so that the creator can try to instigate sell outs is pretty annoying. That being said SOLD OUT. Congratulations to all who scored on this rare signed edition from this cult Japanese artist who I feel is only starting to blossom. For what its worth I think your Hirst post was sincere.
However it quickly turned into misinformation, pumping and dumping.
I think a lot of people were happy and would of missed the Sorayama Book, it was released at 5am. He's not the latest thing he's a legendary Artist so the bun fight was never going to happen, no need to post a week in advance.
I think a lot of members are chuffed to have nabbed one.
None of this matters. Lets just be courteous and if in doubt do your own research.
I've found some amazing Artists and deals from posts exactly like this one.

Damien Hirst H4 โข Veils, by blerd on Aug 12, 2018 16:06:37 GMT 1, Not caring that I looked like an eejit I looked really really closely at the smaller spots (located in window area) and they are slightly pixalated. Only slightly but for me I want I personally want to see the imperfections of the spot etc. So picked camino and claridges. I loved Camino too.

Hajime Sorayama ๐ฏ๐ต Sexy Robot โข Kaws โข Art For Sale , by blerd on Aug 12, 2018 15:40:31 GMT 1, Why be so negative toward a post about a cult Japanese Artist. No-one is flipping sexy robot books. Chill out man. It just stands out when the information is shared well after the release time. And I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.๐ When I posted the information 100 were available before America woke up. I just looked and 2 are now available. That gave a considerable amount of time for anyone that wanted one to get one.
You have to realise that although this forum is anonymous words still have an impact.
We should be encouraging the sharing of information and buying opportunities that fellow members may have missed.
Sarcastic posts like yours make me not want to share information.
I hope that makes sense.

Still time to buy 9 left I believe. ;-) That's what I thought initially, then realized that it's used more for misinformation, pumping and dumping. Why be so negative toward a post about a cult Japanese Artist. No-one is flipping sexy robot books. Chill out man.

Damien Hirst H4 โข Veils, by blerd on Aug 12, 2018 14:35:55 GMT 1, The fact is they are all good. The smaller dots appeal to me because they separate this practice from his grid spots which were traditionally are bigger. This was actually the reason the larger ones appeal to me. I do have a woodcut spot print hanging on my wall and I thought having a similar size of the heni editions would create an interesting play between order and chaos I like that too!
