Eliot Greenwald Night Car (morning star), by bbperez1 on Sept 14, 2021 20:10:15 GMT 1, The problem is that MOST of you don’t follow artists closely enough to understand the trajectory an artist will take. I learned of this artist and purchased because of an advisor from Hauser Wirth in mid 2020 - if you guys thought this was expensive wait til he gets his first solo with them. and of course u want everybody on ur side of the market, since u got in early n cheaply…. i get it, n he might get pumped, as i’ve seen way worse artist hit prices thier cv nor placement history deserves…. the work is “meh” at best imo, nothing new and/or exciting about the art nor the artist here, again, imo, n what do i know? 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t really care what you do. And I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything. You’re entitled to your opinion but based on your previous posts it looks like you’re one bad decision after another.. It’s seems safer to hedge my bets against you lol

Eliot Greenwald Night Car (morning star), by bbperez1 on Sept 14, 2021 5:19:22 GMT 1, Out of curiosity - of the people who tried buying how many of you were able to make a purchase? as in secure a pre sale? I tried and I’ve bought from them many times. They were clear it’s first come first served.
Yes. I was told first come first serve. I’ve never worked with them before.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Sept 8, 2021 13:57:40 GMT 1, You should read the thread. It's a bit complicated to sum up. If you're a boomer like me you should contact the mods on Discord for help when selling. I even had to google Discord!
Hit me up on Instagram. I can talk to you and give you some helpful tips. Same user name.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Sept 7, 2021 21:00:04 GMT 1, This is incorrect. It’s better for a project to have a higher diverse number of unique wallets. If you look at successful projects like CP though this is not the case, and further so as prices rise.
You’re comparing apples and oranges. CP was out for 4years. They have such success because they were the first.
You’re talking about Damien Hirst. If you think Sotheby’s is doing an BAYC NfT sale.. why wouldn’t they do the same for Hirst?

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Sept 7, 2021 20:23:46 GMT 1, wait n see i'm not a horacle but my pop'corn are on the table and keep watching the currency show it's a long game and everybody are waiting how many people are going to trade to physical. 50% of the release at least is not on the market and some big crypto player had already secure lot of them. hirst still got 10% of them. for the first time i'm intersted by a nft release and it's outcoming. Hirst and his team have done a great job (but it's only my opinion). I am afraid I disagree with both your points. Its not a long game - its a big short. Lots of people have and are going to be left out of pocket. might achieve value as an nft is when the total number of holder adressesses reaches about half the number it is now.At which point the artist's supposed aim of making the project widely accessible to as many people as possible will have been lost - because so many people will have gambled away their chance. Its not been very well thought through or executed - There are so many hypocritical points missed - ie. environmentally friendly nfts and cryptos are (Palm or not). Palm as a platform and Dai as payment currency used were the wrong decision, and there are no clear timelines given.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Sept 7, 2021 20:20:00 GMT 1, This is just the start of NFTs, not saying its good but it is def coming... I have linked an auction occurring now at Sotheby of the Bored Ape Yatch Club that you can get from opensea. ( are they the new crypto punks ? I think so ) They also created a mutant version out last week, it seems a very good investment if I had money ( 4/6ETH) retail price was 3ETH, prices have not skyrocketed yet so much! anyway it seems like a great project to me ! enjoy it www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2021/ape-in/101-bored-ape-yacht-club
In regards to the BAYC - few realize the potential these have.. they have a cult like following. The discord is (pun intended) bananas.. ultimately, the prize is the IP of the 101 BAYC being sold at auction. With the purchase the buyer will own the likeness of these pieces. Rumor is that big industry players are bidding - for merchandise and tv/movie opportunities. Don’t be surprised if Netflix, Disney, or some other media giant to drop 30mil on these.
Just my opinion.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Sept 7, 2021 15:46:03 GMT 1, Once people start posting pics of them framed it will start shaking things up. I actually knew how I'd frame mine but it's now looking unlikely I'll go for the physical.
My framed NFT you mean?

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Sept 6, 2021 17:11:01 GMT 1, This time is the definition of HODL. Eth is pumping and all NFT floors are dropping due to the surge in ETH pricing. These are the buying opportunities. Fee bad for the people selling in 30-40k range. Forgive my naivety, as I'm actually pretty good with economics, but how does this work? The value of ETH is going up, so the 100 (theoretical) ETH is now worth 20% more, how does that drive down the equivalent $ price on The Currency NFT? I would have expected it if anything to go up in line with it, or is it people shifting to ETH by dumping NFT? *ps. I won't see any old sport replies to this as have him blocked, so anyone else who can explain gratefully received!
These NFT buyers are interested in ETH not usd value. A lot of people have been trading in crypto when the ETH value was lower. So.. it’s still in the 40-50k range. But less ETH is being traded. Looking at opensea you can see all NFT are down but ETH is up up.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Sept 4, 2021 22:19:06 GMT 1, It’s been 30 days for the great ape society project. And the minting was fairly cheap. Now, what they’ve offered is exclusive access to holder of 5+ apes as an incentive because they will only have 2k gorillas- the remainder will be sold off - if there are any remaining. NFTs are like an IPO high profitability - high risk. This project makes sense because of the community backing it. Is the introduction of the Gorillas part of a long term strategy to increase demand for the other NFTs in the project also? Just trying to get my head around how it works.
To my understanding yes. So just like any other company there are incentives for the early adopters. Similar to share splits and dividends. Now, I am in no way a financial advisor or crypto expert. . But, I do see the incentives in early adoption. I was told about BAYC in may of this year and chose not to pay attention due to other people’s opinions on their volatility - these developers have a storyline and metaverse that accompanies the apes.
Now, the way I look at it is.. these incentives for early adopters encourages them to keep buying in because you can sell these incentives for 3x they’re minting value instantly. You get early access to release and these type of projects take months sometimes to really hit. Once trading hits 1 ETH most projects start trending but by then it’s too late to buy in at a reasonable price which is what happened with the MAYC last month. Just my opinion, but the members holding make more money in the long run. It’s kinda like galleries being “selective” in their process 😂😂

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Sept 4, 2021 19:06:19 GMT 1, It was mentioned here a few days ago about Great Ape Society so I took a look to try to get my head around NFTs. I'm even more confused now People minted them from the website with cost price and gas fees. They then sell for higher figures but need to pay gas, then the buyer buys and needs gas. Then they offer different images (Gorillas) for people that have 5 or more apes, which results in people gathering them and then dumping when they get the gorilla, which lowers the floor price. Great learning experience but has put me off them. It makes sense to me now why some on here mentioned Hirst airdrops, I had no idea what that meant initially. The Hirst looks to be the most polished and thorough of everything that I have seen. Would like to have a Hirst but see that it's good that it forced a lot of people to read up on these technologies at least.

NFT Art , by bbperez1 on Sept 2, 2021 13:57:25 GMT 1, I must admit I was skeptical at first but after using meta mask and opensea platform it’s not as overwhelming as most have thought. I recently was introduced to Great Ape Society - they seem to be fairly priced. Some are sub 700$ usd. They were 150-300$ three days ago. So the floor price keeps rising would be cool to see this project get to the same recognizable as it’s other ape counterparts like the mutant apes or the bored apes.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Sept 1, 2021 16:35:41 GMT 1, Anyone else tempted to sell and grab a B print? If the price hits over $100k, selling one and using the funds for a Banksquiat or unsigned Girl With Balloon is something I’d have to really consider. Although it would be risky in terms of potential ROI loss if these things climb to insane amounts, I’d still be happy at the thought of scoring a B print for $2k out of pocket.
Either way you look at it.. you can’t be upset at the results lol Tender owners are very fortunate to have this “problem” - Either way tremendous win! Congratulations

Problem with V1 refunding, by bbperez1 on Sept 1, 2021 2:13:12 GMT 1, The staff at V1 are very friendly and considerate. I’ve worked with them in the past and have had very good experiences. I’m sorry for your experience but I would try reaching out to Jesper. He’s the director I believe and is extremely helpful and friendly.
I’m sure it’s a misunderstanding that will be resolved quickly.
Best of luck.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Aug 31, 2021 17:04:58 GMT 1, Yep.. because it's not about art. It seems to me that NFTs are more like shares, but it's all about speculation, not actual value... and basically gambling on prices going up and down, based on very little other than hype, and hope that others will pay more than you just paid, in a crazy pyramid scheme. It's the classic Greater Fools Theory. You can't believe all the overly rosy, diamond hands posts. They're trying to prop up the value and convince future fools long enough for you to be the last one holding the bags. It's 60K, sell the damn the thing and be happy before the panic sets in. If it's about the art, think of the number of high quality real paintings you can buy for that amount.
WACK.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Aug 31, 2021 9:06:15 GMT 1, It was nearly 10 years ago when I went the Hirst exhibition at the Tate Modern. I could never have imagined then that Damien Hirst was going to help pay my mortgage early for me. Cheers mate - you are a legend. BTW, I am not selling yet as these prices are only going up.
Absolutely fantastic!! Congratulations!

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Aug 30, 2021 20:32:57 GMT 1, Is there anything I have to do to my two if I don’t plan on selling? Meaning, can I just let them sit where they are and not transfer etc and still be safe? Haven’t transferred anything
Yes. You’re safe. No need to move or do anything. They’re secure in your wallet. Also, now on Heni users can make offers on unlisted tenders too.

With 41 piece on palm alone between $45k and $55k I think we are going to hit a bit of a slow period. Possibly for the week and into next. On the plus side these are the sellers that the holders want out of the market. I’d say the vast majority on palm at this price point don’t really know what they are doing and have self limited, but are also just fine with that. They will erode their own prices by 10k before the next big sweep is my guess.
Well said.. I agree this upcoming week there looks like a potential based on the past week .. but! It was announced today that DH actually did the cover art for Drake’s new album “Certified Lover Boy” Drake posted his IG and tagged DH. So it will likely bring up a lot of attention on DH and his project. My bet is that Drake buys one or two Tenders himself.
But like you said.. we don’t want the sellers in the market. 50ETH > 50k #DiamondHands

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Aug 30, 2021 14:49:38 GMT 1, Wonder what the floor will be on Tuesday once the dust settles chap? If it wasn’t for all the sellers undercutting each other we would surely be at 50k by now - conservatively, a steady 37-41k is my guess. We’ve held the 29-34k mark now for some time.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Aug 29, 2021 0:33:58 GMT 1, .... If everyone selling changes their prices higher rather than lower. . It would be sick! .... That's the second time you've said something similar to this. You do understand the concept of supply and demand...right?
Once these last 15 sell on Heni they break 50k floor - no I don’t understand supply and demand. Please enlighten me - I’ve also said for the past 2 weeks that these would break 50k by the end of the month. I’ve also been tracking the consolidation - now, you do understand what a floor means, right? - the rules of logic don’t apply in crypto/NFTs

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by bbperez1 on Aug 28, 2021 22:02:31 GMT 1, The discord is speculating that it was a prearranged deal. The two sales are with the same buyer/sellers Trying to bring the prices down perhaps, in order to buy more? (Like fake high sales to try to bring the price up)
fine whetstone 4 letters
