VAT - Answers from the horses mouth, by stickitup on Mar 15, 2012 0:17:01 GMT 1, I don't think it's possible to pay VAT up front. Exchange rates fluctuate numerous times a day and HMRC are not set up to accept individual VAT payments, hence why they are dealt with by a broker (Parcelforce). Exchange rates do change throughout the day but HMRC use a monthly rate unless the currancy fluctuates hugely and then they update, for instance a couple of years ago when the ยฃ to $ exchange rate was shifting radically every couple of days. Current rates can be checked on the HMRC web site.

The ยฃ50 Art Thread, by stickitup on Jan 3, 2012 15:14:07 GMT 1, I think the problem is saturation here, unhuman is not to my taste, but then neither is a lot of the stuff on this thread but there is variety and thats what makes me return to it. He is entitled to post as much as he wants if its under ยฃ50 cos thats the rules, however I think it starts to become problematic and hard work to wade through a thread which isn't respectfully limited by the amount of items any one person posts. IMO Unhuman needs to let his work have a little breathing space between each release, and frequency of the posts and the get this free when you buy this makes it appear like the sales aren't neccessarily all that frequent - despite in fact there being perhaps a positive response when posting them. Just my 2pence on it and hopefully useful advice

Banksy Gorilla Print Release - POW, by stickitup on Dec 2, 2011 15:14:53 GMT 1, if you get one you can do what you want with it, flip it, burn it, hang it on a wall, wipe your bum with it, give it away. Once you own it its yours to do what you want, especially if you need cash you will not miss the oportunity to sell it to someone who has cash in their pocket, personally I would get it, flip it and buy one of his earlier prints.

my Banksy version for sale, by stickitup on Sept 9, 2011 10:09:29 GMT 1, your potential buyers seem to be losing interest Melin, you can carry on beligerantly mud slinging or have a rethink, I will never say you are not an artist, but there is a difference between good and bad art and many on this forum are fairly adept at deciding which category items which are posted up here fall into.

"Turf Wars" Banksy Board Game, by stickitup on Sept 9, 2011 10:00:38 GMT 1, can I make a suggestion based on my (and it is only mine) opinion. Based on aesthetics your web site looks amaturish and needs a redesign, its appearance is similar to a clowns wardrobe gone wrong. The artwork in the games is very stylised and in some cases appears amature and imature, this sets a bad example to any potential buyers. There doesn't seem to be any great desire for the buyer to purchase any of the goods unless they collect all things "Banksy" which is not a great place to start in promoting your games to an audience on this forum, which in my opinion are passionate about Banksy's art and the way his images are used, in that case I do not think they have been particularly well executed. And for that reason I am out.

For sale-BANKSY GWB, by stickitup on Sept 7, 2011 10:45:01 GMT 1, it is top whack price, but not unrealistic, you would only need someone who desperately wants the image and has that cash and it will go, but you may have to be patient. And full respect for stating your price you want, rather than the "pm me" offers thing which I dislike.

Rose Popay "Coup De Tart" Bristol, Aug 2nd, by stickitup on Aug 23, 2011 13:42:59 GMT 1, I am still yet to get any of it. The spin paintings look great as did when me and friends did them years ago at a kids event, its just a technique, the fact R did them for Damien is neither here nor there, they don't really push any boundries no matter who does them...imo of course, each to their own...and for that reason I am out, sorry

VAT - Answers from the horses mouth, by stickitup on Aug 23, 2011 12:57:42 GMT 1, no surprise to hear FEDEX have messed things up for you, recently they f*cked up a further import for me, by not declaring the goods correctly, having spoken to them they told me it would be an eight week delay, on top of the 4 week delay already passed with them failing to correct the problem, I ended up going to Customs myself and telling them I would sort it out, and then got a bill for the work they didn't do. Plus they put my account on hold until it was paid....Ended up paying the ยฃ35 for them basically doing the wrong thing and me sorting it out....Bunch of cnuts.

Old rave flyers from early 90s, by stickitup on Aug 11, 2011 12:08:00 GMT 1, Fortunately I took a camera to every free party I went to in the early nineties and kept a meticulous record of where the party was, who was in the pics and the date they were taken...that album is a bit of prized treasure of mine now some 20 years on. Also got a collection of about 2000 flyers from 89-93, happy drug fueled days, I sometimes wonder if I have OCD

would make sence... but semi legitimate [/quote]
Legally I think the boundaries are blurred a little as they are reproducing an image and stating it is clearly a fake, I think POW are the only ones who could stop them really and they have done nothing to stop all the other Banksy tat being peddled on Ebay, which is an appropration of his work. Where do these images stand with copyright?

WCP The West Country Prince, by stickitup on Jul 29, 2011 12:21:15 GMT 1, Just asked if they are intending doing any Kate's nice one, you beat me to it. Love this discussion one of the most interesting I have read on here. As a thought, the ones being uploaded, aren't they the same images as the ones those forgers got busted for, Grant Dell and the other bloke? They made some good reproductions before they got busted and it looks like these may be and its purely a guess, linked to them, from what I remember Bomb Hugger, Queen Vic, Laugh Now, Monkey Queen, Pulp Fiction, all game from their set up- might be they still had the artwork used for the screens and have started up on a legally semi legitimate basis...

WCP The West Country Prince, by stickitup on Jul 28, 2011 11:37:28 GMT 1, just to chip in here, I can never afford a Kate print, it just simply insn't value for money either, however I really love the image. If I get a reproduction I will still love the image and it will look great on my wall, so the problem seems to be if someone is willing to make this image accessible (and the reproduction on Ebay is not the correct size) is it wrong for me to buy it? I think not, as much as I disagree with the parasitic nature of selling reproductions it does give me access to an image I would like to own but simply cannot get no matter how much I save, if we take market values, I don't think the market value equates to a fair justification for the amount of enjoyment I would get from hanging it on my wall.
