Price check: Banksy Soup Can Unsigned?, by spirit on Mar 21, 2010 20:46:52 GMT 1, is that based on sales you know of or asking prices jwart? - a Bansy print that had doubled in price since last year would certainly be bucking the trend...

selling protocol, by spirit on Mar 21, 2010 18:46:07 GMT 1, I think its generally a case of first come first served. If people say they are going to turn up and then don't they only have themselves to blame if they miss out.

New Sage Vaughn ,JR and Insect at Laz, by spirit on Mar 20, 2010 11:36:36 GMT 1, TS - thanks for your response, interesting how opinions differ as I liked the original and my view is that there's some imbedded talent, so from my perspective it was well worth £100. 'Sale of the century'? I'll give you that, youthfull exuberence on my part but I'm financially removed from a SV OG. For what it's worth - I thought (my opinion) that VLH was a load of unimaginative tosh, don't see the cache that attracts people to Nola and that Mr B's best images for a long time were trollies and morons which seem to be regarded as weaker? As for the price, not sure where cheap and affordable cross but consider it a good offering.
I'm with you that trollies (B&W) and morons are 2 of the best. They're the 2 I have on my wall. But my 3rd B print is VLH which I think is better than both. Getting it framed this week.
This SV does nothing for me at all. It's another one of those weird superhero images that seem to be so prevalent...just not my cuppa.

Dalek 🇺🇸 Space Monkey • James Marshall, by spirit on Mar 18, 2010 17:17:03 GMT 1, here's a pic...
not really sure how I'd classify the music other than some kind of "electronica". Not really my cup of tea but then I didn't buy it for that.

Dalek 🇺🇸 Space Monkey • James Marshall, by spirit on Mar 17, 2010 14:51:23 GMT 1, My picture disc finally arrived today and it is seriously stunning! - well worth the wait.
Even the wife was amazed and suggested it was framed and on the wall asap which I think is a first...
there are still some left apparently - for £17 you really can't go wrong...

Invader • Invasion Prints 09, by spirit on Mar 17, 2010 10:59:57 GMT 1, What people decide to do with secondary market swaps is surely no-one's business but their own? You were happy to swap the invader for something otto had - I really don't see what the problem is. Certainly no worse than selling gifted prayer books...

BANKSY - Time Out London Magazine , by spirit on Mar 16, 2010 22:22:47 GMT 1, Those that know me will attest that I have the patience of a saint and a very long fuse... ... but enough is enough. Still no magazine or poster here and I'm in Central London, not the Outer Hebrides. Does anyone have a good contact e-mail address or telephone number for Time Out?
Nothing here either. There's a phone number for them on your order confirmation email. I rang yesterday and they said there had been "problems" but it should be here by Friday...

Framed Grey No Ball Games for sale or trade , by spirit on Mar 13, 2010 17:17:27 GMT 1, Just had a phone call from his "Solicitor" "Jones & Partner", and they will be forwarding me a signed statement from their client clearly stating what he feels are lies that have been posted by a few members here. I will get the statement posted up here after it arrives so he can attempt to clear his name. Strangely the "Solicitor" would not tell me their name, phone number, email address, or website
Very odd for a solicitor who is acting on behalf of a client to be unwilling to give you their contact details.
This is sounding more and more like a UK version of JSG every day what with threats from non existent solicitors and all. I wouldn't be surprised if he offered up a gold flags for sale next...or perhaps some Dface?

BAST "Niel Blender" at LAZ shop, by spirit on Mar 12, 2010 17:41:38 GMT 1, i don't get the pricing? Sizing aside; there is much more detail in the previous Tony Roma print, and i'ts cheaper! and a smaller edition! Lack of hand detailing is a shame; i think his prints need that sometimes.
much more detail in Tony Roma than this print? not to my eyes...

XENZ "Wonderlust" Sydney 11th March, by spirit on Mar 12, 2010 15:00:49 GMT 1, lol - I just bought a Xenz different strokes print for $1 AUS (+ $42.85 shipping). It was the only one at $1 all the others from the edition of 50 were $340. Possibly a mistake by the gallery (hopefully they will honour it) but there was also a funny timer thing on it which said 12 minutes left which none of the others have so it could be some kind of weird special offer...
Interesting to see what happens...
Edit: just got an apologetic "tech issues" email....looks like a refund is on its way. Not my lucky day after all.

True. I just saw an upside down blow job...

New work: H&M Che, by spirit on Mar 11, 2010 16:34:46 GMT 1, There you go again you cruel priick! Why is that cruel?
Levi - I'm not at all sure what point you are trying to make as I am finding your posts far more offensive than Pro's and Mike's. Flinging around personal insults is not generally considered to be a good way of getting people to see things your way.

'My First Squat', by spirit on Mar 11, 2010 11:19:06 GMT 1, I think if you are going to ask for people's opinions on a public forum, then you've got to take the rough with the smooth...
I also don't agree with this "if you haven't got anything positive to say , don't say anything" idea because I don't think that's good for either the artist (who would get a false sense of what people think of his work) or the board (which would get a reputation for praising rubbish).
If you are sensitive about your work and you don't like hearing negative comments about it, you have to either produce work which is indisputably excellent or simply keep it to yourself and don't go posting it on forums asking for opinions.
