BANKSY Film "Exit Through The Gift Shop", by manchestermike on Jan 26, 2010 14:31:26 GMT 1, I was making an observation not stating fact. I am sure Banksy is doing his part and raising awareness for Haiti. I am far from a hater.
I'm sure most people on here know this mate
On another note... please, please, please can we ban the word, or 'non-word' hater from this forum

BANKSY Film "Exit Through The Gift Shop", by manchestermike on Jan 26, 2010 13:52:31 GMT 1, Also, Why the F*ck isn't BANKSY doing some sort of HAITI relief fundraising or print to help the folks of that country?
Because (to use your vernacular) he's not a fucking charity
Even Jesus didn't go out of his way to save and heal every single person in the world.
Of course he didn't - that'd be like you or me trying to heal every single person in the world - we've as much power to do it as jesus did

The most friendliest Artist.., by manchestermike on Jan 23, 2010 22:36:03 GMT 1, I would say C215 (Christian Guemy) is friendliest artist I have had the pleasure to deal with. He was kind enough to show us around Vitry and receive us in his atelier.
A few shouts for C215... shame I've heard very different things
I've had the pleasure of dealing with a lot of really friendly people in this scene and I won't list them all, but it's very rare you hear a bad word about anyone... apart from the aforementioned C215 I'm struggling to think of an unfriendly experience either first hand or second

Damien Hirst Spin Painting, by manchestermike on Jan 21, 2010 13:34:20 GMT 1, Some quite nice bits in your store there Rose, the spin paintings especially... it's just the stencils, especially the farting ones that bring it down... good to see your work goes deeper than the art-tart surface... probably a shame that people will see the stencils and not bother even trying to scratch the surface

Banksy Kate Moss Print, by manchestermike on Jan 16, 2010 11:28:32 GMT 1, In the cold light of day it really is a s**t load of money though eh My favourite banksy along with CWSB. I'm pretty sure that if you really liked this print you will have it in the back of your mind that they once sold for c. ยฃ96k so this could be a good chance to get hold of one at a comparatively reasonable price.
Strange how people see things differently, they're two of the most disappointing Banksy prints for me - CWSB especially, I remember how underwhelmed I was when I first saw it...

26.2 Mile Night Walk for Cancer Research, by manchestermike on Jan 14, 2010 17:52:37 GMT 1, Afternoon all,
Please feel free to tell me where to go but I'm just posting this asking you all to dig deep for a good cause, in a slightly mental moment I've decided that I'm going to walk 26.2 miles through Manchester... starting at 8 or 9 pm in the evening, so Iโll be doing this in the middle of the night... in April... so probably in the wet too...
I'm doing this for Cancer Research UK and hopefully my small contribution will help towards beating cancer, so if you know someone who has had cancer or even if you don't please sponsor me and help Cancer Research UK. I'm looking to raise ยฃ250 but would love to raise more, so dig deep and remember to add gift aid to your donation if you're a UK taxpayer and they get that little bit more...
If any of you are in Manchester and you fancy doing the walk then sign up and walk it with me, it should take 8-9 hours, well that's what I put it'd take me, so put the same time if you're doing it and we'll be walking in the same wave... you can sign up here: shine.cancerresearchuk.org/ ... If you don't fancy walking it then come along and support on the night, it'd be appreciated.
You can sponsor me by clicking the link below โ again thank you

Ideas for wedding gift?, by manchestermike on Jan 14, 2010 16:58:50 GMT 1, Not a print... How about a tree? something small that can moved if the move house etc I've done it a few times for special occasions and often get a text out of blue saying our tree is in flower and we are sat remembering our special day. Priceless Great idea, but maybe not for these two -- I've given them plants before and they always kill them Will remember for the future though.
I'm on a new record, I've had a plant just over a month now and not killed it... it's great, even though it's in a hot room near a radiator I walk past it every day at least 10 times I've forgotten to water it for about a week - remembered yesterday and it's fine, not even any brown bits!

D*Face Pop Tart Print, by manchestermike on Jan 14, 2010 12:34:00 GMT 1, Which model, if it's not top spec that's a chunky price... that said I'm not buying... I've got "the stupidest car in the World" (c)Clarkson and I'm happy with it ;D you got an X6? why? there is no boot?
There's loads of room in the boot, I was in a Range Rover boot the other day (don't ask) and the X6 has about the same amount of room, plus a big under floor storage section in the boot.
And why... it's a 4x4 therefore can do all the thinks a 4x4 of the same type - i.e. x5 / cayenne not a Range Rover - can do, but it drives like a car, it's quick, it corners well and is comfortable on long drives, did Manchester to Dorset and back in a day the other week and didn't feel any aches etc...

Thank You and Goodnight, by manchestermike on Jan 13, 2010 16:43:24 GMT 1, Bollocks! Been saving up for a piece from Edge for the last two months but don't have enough yet (a gift which isn't needed until May). Oh well, at least I have plenty of time to come up with a plan B. All the best Mike.
Donaldo - if you let me know what it is via PM I'll pass your details to the artist - I'm sure they'll sort you out
Thanks again everyone

UK General Election 2010, by manchestermike on Jan 12, 2010 22:01:36 GMT 1, everything i shoot i eat, or someone eats. be it phessies for sunday lunch, pidgeon pies, or rabbits i give to the pub who make a nice game stew. In which case that's fine. Absolutely. Although I'm not sure what the BNP have to say that are 'good things'
We agree again

I'll definitely still be posting on here, I'd have loved to continue to be honest but with the time I would be able to devote to Edge Art I felt that it wouldn't be fair to the artists that I was working with if I didn't have the necessary time to do the job that I and they expect.
Hopefully I'll be able to do somethings in the future but they will be a way away. Again, thank you everyone for your support ;D
