For sale - Banksy / Vhils / Micallef etc, by twist65 on Aug 14, 2019 12:13:25 GMT 1, Update - soup can is sold subject to payment / collection.
Bit of interest in the others. The Micallef was £5k from the Las show, the seller is motivated to sell and prepared to take a loss on it, so a sensible offer under the asking price would probably get it...
Will add some other bits later..

For sale - Banksy / Vhils / Micallef etc, by twist65 on Aug 13, 2019 22:59:53 GMT 1, Phew had a flurry of PMs to deal with, let me know if you've messaged me and I've missed anything as my secretarial skills aren't the best.. Think the Soup Can is sold pending a phone call in the morning though.

Hi all, am listing some pieces for a non forum-member friend. He is London-based so can do face-to-face deals / inspection if acceptable offers come via me, or happy to ship wherever.
Pieces that are currently framed can be removed and shipped well packed in large tubes - all except the little Micallef.
Have listed as much info as I can think of but feel free to PM questions. Genuinely unsure of current market value on a lot of the pieces, hence offers, but motivated to sell so please don’t be shy!

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by twist65 on Jun 29, 2019 16:43:27 GMT 1, The hypnotic eyes version remains my most wanted poster. I've seen a couple of dollar versions for sale over the years but thats about it. Was there a third variant of these? my fuzzy memory seems to think so but I can't remember what it was..
On a different note I posted this in the wrong thread earlier. Anyone know what a mint Banksy NBG green is worth at the moment? Not buying or selling but said i'd find out for a mate..

The Connor Brothers 🇬🇧 Mike Snelle & James Golding, by twist65 on Jun 11, 2019 23:29:17 GMT 1,
There are some interesting Banksy pieces on display and a fantastic Retna so worth a trip if you are anywhere near Kent.
Also there is a talk with Connor Bros this Thursday (13th), still a handful of tickets available, contact Eddie for tickets (details on flyer above). Show info below:
The Eddie Lock Gallery will be opening its doors once again for Creative Folkestone's Open Quarter. From Saturday 15th - Friday 21st June please come along and feast your eyes on an outstanding collection of rare punk memorabilia alongside some incredible works of art from The Connor Brothers, Retna, Banksy, David Whittaker, Illuminati, Mal-One plus many more!
Door entry is £2 per person and this with all other donations will be divided between two charities; Folkestone & District Mind and CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). Mental health issues effect many people and families and are very close to our own hearts having lost friends and family to suicide.
The show will be dedicated to Fred Houghton, Keith Flint and Ian Sage, remembered always.

For clarification will genuinely consider all offers for everything except the Banksy so please don't pm for a price.
I should probably have mentioned that the Soup Can is a very low edition number, single digit - I know that sort of thing is appealing to some..

THE MET LOTTERY, by twist65 on Aug 20, 2018 23:32:57 GMT 1, Thanks met
I have to admit I'd never heard of Sam Harris prior to the competition question earlier on this thread (pg 6), and found that particular podcast difficult to get through. Not because of the content, but his soft delivery combined with my short attention span meant I kept drifting off. Perseverance paid off though as I've done over half of them since then, some fascinating stuff, I especially enjoyed one about AI. Still a fair few hours to go before I'm up to date though!

2. But the one thing people tend to realise, at moments like this, is that they wasted a lot of time when life was normal. It’s not just what they did with their time. It’s not just that they spent too much time working, or compulsively checking email. It’s that they cared about the wrong things. They regret what they cared about. Their attention was bound up in petty concerns, year after year, when life was normal.
And this is a paradox, of course, because we all know this epiphany is coming. Don’t you know this is coming? Don’t you know that there’s going to come a day when you’ll be sick, or someone close to you will die, and you’ll look back on the kinds of things that captured your attention. And you’ll think, what was I doing?
3. I accept.
