Studiocromie, by nex on Feb 2, 2017 0:31:22 GMT 1, If your tube was anything but white border control has probably turned it back What do you mean? I'd like to know what is the best way to do it if I'm sending a print to the US
It was a joke.
I use flight logistics for all my shipping needs, they take the pain out of it.

Grannies vs Morons, by nex on Feb 1, 2017 13:08:34 GMT 1, Morons, hands down! Its the essential piece of his post-hype career! This. Easy pick. Grannies a one liner (like most of his art) but at least morons is a direct comment on the state of the art world. Grannies is a fucking bitter sweet image reminding us that age happens to all of us, no matter how cool you think you are, maybe you're young, but one day it will hit you...
love it
morons is a fuck you to every collector paying way too much money and not even considering what they're buying, it's a middle finger to the whole art world and the false gods it creates all for the mighty dollar.
love it

Micallef releases Trump print to download, by nex on Feb 1, 2017 3:39:47 GMT 1, Anyone else see this as a rip off k-guy fag packets from a few years ago ? i though Micallef had a bit more originalityย although i I do agree with his point - and it has provoked discussion, which I think was he objective so not all badย
You'd have a point if this piece alone was a good summary of his work, which of course it's not

Retna โข Say My Name, So You Can See Me , by nex on Jan 25, 2017 13:45:35 GMT 1, I seem to hear it frequently, that this board has gone tos**t. I've only been on here for a year and wonder what it was like before. What was it like before? And is there a way to bring that magic back? Cliff notes version - Forum was about art in the street, with a secondary focus on the bi-product of said art, aka prints
- In the last 12-18 months balance shifted to being a forum about prints, not art
- This commoditisation attracts traders and brokers who focus content on value to flog their wares
- The members are born again as "investors", buying said wares, before they are hung out to dry
Conclusion : ย this ย morning instead of a flood of pics from the Invader show, recent posts are mostly reminders of Banksy prints increasing by 1k overnight, or some story about ย - I kid you not - emergating to Canada...
Nope I've been here 10+ years in various guises and I hate to burst your bubble but this place came from an ebay forum. There's always been money talk, just not at this level.
What's changed is a lot ALOT of knowledgeable members have left and been replaced by ppl without that knowledge

Commemorative Inauguration Print by BKD, by nex on Jan 23, 2017 22:46:11 GMT 1, A few points:
- democrats aren't 'left' they're just more left than the republicans
- Hilary was a poor choice as candidate, she was the establishment
- the press secretary claiming the inauguration crowd was the biggest of all time was literally one of the most ridiculous things I've witnessed, if this is what we're getting from a trump presidency it's going to be very entertaining if rather sad.

Shephard Fairey Prints for Amplifier Foundation, by nex on Jan 23, 2017 5:35:34 GMT 1, Funny it took me literally less than a minute to google discussion on the hijab and see that the view it's used as suppression is but one rather limited generally right wing assertation to fit their agenda...

Martin Whatson โข Still Life 2 Print, by nex on Jan 22, 2017 22:52:35 GMT 1, this 'style' has one point of interest for me, that is, how successful it's been for its protagonist. I mean he's been doing this for 5+ years with little variation and the gold fish bowl of memory (UAA) has been lapping it up. Fair play if I could make money that easily I probably would to!
Saying all of that , toy by Dolk said all that needed to be said.
And I've still not forgotten the Logan Hicks incident.

Donald Trump, by nex on Jan 11, 2017 23:25:10 GMT 1, Blanksy what's your take on Donald taking the piss out of a journalist with a disability or basically implying another journalist was on their period and therefore asking stupid questions. Genuinely interested in your take on those two examples, I hear very few rightists actually address these type of basic points, so it would be refreshing if you did. Ta Lol I wrote about an A4 worth of text and then the site crashed and now it's gone. So I'm gonna type this quick and a lot less well worded than I did before I'm afraid. I'm from the Netherlands so I haven't seen everything Trump said or did, I didn't know these examples before, but I found them on youtube. The disabled joke is in pretty bad taste, mostly because it doesn't serve a purpose. His handicap doesn't have anything to do with the stuff he said/did. TRIGGER WARNING! The Megyn Kelly joke is just plain funny, also it serves a purpose, as he didn't like her style of questioning/the thing she said about him being a women-hater and that's the point he was trying to make in a non PC way (if he even meant to make a joke about her period as he denied that later on, and he doesn't seem like a person that would back down from controversy). I hope he did try to make that joke as it's a pretty funny remark. She seems to be a solid journalist though. Trump said it to her himself in the one on one interview they had later:ย โI donโt really blame you, because youโre doing your thing. But from my standpoint, I donโt have to like it". And more in general, I think people shouldn't be so easily offended by jokes or more generally words.
It's funny when a women's questioning pissesyou off, to say she had blood coming out of her ....
Don't ever try to pass that as humour with a girl your trying to impress honestly it won't go well
Thanks for your take on it, at least I see where your coming from, I don't agree but that's fine

banksy original no commission for sale , by nex on Jan 6, 2017 3:45:14 GMT 1, I have no horse in this race . But I am curious .. has it been fully substantiated that 'it is well known as a cheap stunt for publicity'. The players involved in that show don't seem to be the type for that .. Bacardi? Swizz? Other celebs? Other well known artists .. etc . Unless it was just some attendee that snuck them in and then it's not a publicity stunt . Anyway . Just curious if anyone took responsibility and it was a fact that this is / was an orchestrated part of the show .
Maybe I'm being a bit unfair but this certainly wasn't a particularly special event based on the stock room offerings from stolen space on display and d asking a few of his celeb mates along ....

banksy original no commission for sale , by nex on Jan 5, 2017 22:19:58 GMT 1, This form is full of disrespectful troll. There's only a few good guys on here. I'll keep it. All the best
By all means sell it here, but at the very least don't say it's a banksy original, when it is well known as a cheap stunt to gain publicity. This sale smacks of dishonesty or at the very least someone who needs to ask some questions here prior to selling.

Who can sell me a bot?, by nex on Dec 22, 2016 2:02:31 GMT 1, How about a bot that can add members names to competition lists without messing it all up? could that bot also remove those lists from recurring in the recently updated posts?
could the bot also automatically tell west country prince to feck off and close his threads?
could the bot also recount automatically the history of this place, where it came from and a clear concise definition of flipping...oh and all the recent prices of banksys at auctions and sold privately, to end those discussions too

Should we accept flipping on this forum , by nex on Dec 16, 2016 23:04:15 GMT 1, fwiw - and it might account for nothing... once upon a time when i joined this forum.. the most popular thread was called the boatmissers or something of that nature. all about all those people who had joined because of sg 06 and what they missed at the beginning of 06 , and of course the whole "concept" of flippers. ..ah how times change, eh ?
Ah banksy collecting is all about regret

Should we accept flipping on this forum , by nex on Dec 16, 2016 22:32:01 GMT 1, When it comes to buying and selling let's all treat each other with fairness and respect, let's not hype prices nor Criticise image quality in sales threads .... but if there's an issue of course it should be raised.
This place was born of the ebay forum, flipping has always been there, it's the way it's carried out that's the issue (see my earlier points).

Banksy Print, Canvas, WANTED, by nex on Dec 13, 2016 1:49:16 GMT 1, The fact that there is even discussion as to whether these rats on cardboard are by banksy or not is laughable, and just shows where the forum has got to in the last couple of years. Or, a commentary on art. It's trash (literally, judging by one video), unless PC does a COA, at which point it is worth a fortune
No it's a commentary on the little effort people will put into finding out the truth even though there's a world of knowledge at their finger tips.

DFace โข Union Jacked Print, by nex on Dec 12, 2016 21:40:59 GMT 1, I like Dface's work and been to most shows at Stolenspace, but this print is just another Brexit cash in. Too many artists are doing this theme and using Christmas as their platform of opportunity. I know there are a lot of Dface fans and if you like it, then cool. If you are thinking about secondary market; Dface has become a bit unstable with prices over the last few years, although that shouldn't worry you if you're a collector. Gone are the days of pop tart and going nowhere fast seems to have been the turning point. And this not revealing the image well...
too many artists are cashing in on brexit? You mean the sociol political economic event that's rupturing the country is being discussed culturally 'too much' lmao, yeah enough of that, back to business everyone, it's all okay nothing to see here.
Btw the way I think this image is awful, subjectively, I also find the deep meaning contrite, but that's another discussion all together.

DFace โข Union Jacked Print, by nex on Dec 8, 2016 21:47:11 GMT 1, I have to applaud your persistence sugar well done
as for the premise dface keeps getting more popular, it's fairly clear the height of his popularity was 5+ years ago when pop tart was commanding a multiple of its current price, whilst yes he has a committed group who buy his prints, interest outside of that seems low judging on his secondary market and general discussion of his work.
for me his best work was at his first show in 06 by some stretch

New Lazarides GAllery Dedicated to Banksy Prints, by nex on Nov 29, 2016 22:15:41 GMT 1, [ Just endless bollocks. If you don't remember the history of this scene, or know banksy's influence (whoever banksy may be), then pay better attention. What scene? There is no scene it's a PR team business plan. Using street art. Banksy's influence on street art is similar to Saatchi's influence on Brit art. It's not a scene. I agree it is a very good business marketing model.ย If it's just endless bollocks are you saying Banksy is one guy who goes out and does all the stencils and comes up with all the art and all the ideas for the images are 100% down to Banksy a single person? ย I'm sure Banksy the guy exists but the whole PR stuff and team stuff takes a heck of a lot of financial investment. ย ย In other words if Banksy is about the art, then why bother paying thousands to a PR team? I'm sure you can answer that. ย Brainwash lol
Look you do this
You make a statement , take some truth and then add a dash of bollocks and sell it as the gospel
I'd love to have a considered conversation with you, but having read your posts here it's pointless

ย Brainwash lol Look you do this You make a statement , take some truth and then add a dash of bollocks and sell it as the gospel I'd love to have a considered conversation with you, but having read your posts here it's pointless
