New Lazarides GAllery Dedicated to Banksy Prints, by nex on Nov 29, 2016 22:13:36 GMT 1, Where is Laz getting all these prints from though? It seems endless. Makes you wonder how many they sold originally.
Isn't he just selling being a secondary market seller???

Your posts are the equivalent of the fake news posts on people's fb timelines

Conor Harrington - Hide and Seek, by nex on Nov 18, 2016 23:07:53 GMT 1, Whilst I can't critique because I get involved in Occassion, I fi d the Banksy pricing discussions truly poisonous, facts are now relative few and far between with prices seemingly rising by 1000s from the last verified sale for no good reason. And no one says a word. It feels like a massive Ponzi scheme ...
oh and whilst Conor is a great artist, nothing would suggest his print prices willl suddenly explode, these two prints are limited and have done well, my 10+ years in this game tell me there not going higher any time soon.

Donald Trump, by nex on Nov 10, 2016 23:53:49 GMT 1, GOP was more or less the same as 2012. Clinton turnout was worse - especially amonst black/hispanic women and then black/hispanic men. Thats why she lost. Plain and simple. The real question is WHY they didnt turn out for her(Dems) image
hostingI find it quite interesting you ignore the obvious increase from white men too.
on some reflection I'd agree with Jonathan Pie

Has urban art gone soft?, by nex on Nov 4, 2016 22:33:21 GMT 1, Graf > Street Art > Urban Art Urban art has always been soft, it's the legalisation and commercialisation of a movement that 30+ years ago was about breaking the system. indeed nex - i would add: Graf > Street Art > Urban Art > Contemporary Art
Thats a good discussion cyber, I honestly think there's a decent amount of contemporary that challenges the system (from within) more so than urban art has ever done, or street art for that matter. The issue with contemporary art is in general it's not for the masses, so is an elitist critique that's lost.

Has urban art gone soft?, by nex on Nov 3, 2016 5:00:57 GMT 1, There's plenty of edgy work still being created. You just have to look for it. Rarely will you find it on here. please give some examples Coach, I know there's plenty of contemporary art that's challenging but urban art? Really?

RYCA ๐ฌ๐ง Ryan Callanan โข Star Wars โข Smiley โข New Release , by nex on Nov 1, 2016 2:43:31 GMT 1, I'd say Leftist racism 'when a person is so fed up with his own life, goes to great lengths to destroy his own country and culture by inviting as many people from a culture that he knows is in nearly no single way compatible with his own countries culture'. Where, @blanksky , do you suppose your 'own countries culture' comes from exactly? blanksy forgetting this is comedy, stewart's central point is about how we come to be the people we are, do you see what he's getting at?

Visit PARIS ๐ซ๐ท France Street Art, Galleries, Events, by nex on Oct 28, 2016 0:23:12 GMT 1, great pic's thankyou, I'd never seen the Banksy canvas before of the cop car missing it's wheels? Is that new anyone? ps. loving the future, delta and sainer (mine is still for sale btw! ha) pieces Was the cop car not discussed at length on here years ago. I have a vague memory of a new member sharing a picture of it and asking for guidance. That member was told by several that it was not a Banksy. But it turned out to be real. That may all be the ramblings of an old man who confuses his dreams with reality. Or I might this time be remembering correctly. you could be right coach, my first thought was, is it a Banksy? Although the 'style' is right, it's pretty basic....Feral don't suppose you've got a closer shot where we can see the year it was created or something? My memory is fooked these days too btw

The Jungle in Calais, by nex on Oct 27, 2016 23:01:02 GMT 1, Extreme political views are never good and that includes extreme left as well as right These threads always go the same way and should probably be shut down as soon as they start, i made it through the first couple of pages but don't need to go anymore, i guarantee somewhere in this thread will be the following "daily mail" " little England" "racist" "cant believe on a BANKSY forum" "disgusting view" something about consumerism, capitalism some pseudo hippy new age stuff, someone will quit the forum in rage, various general insults and someone will probably tell FR to f**koff Did i miss anything?
1. You're in the 'politics' forum 2. Look up the definition of forum it will surprise you 3. This whole place was created off the back of the banksy ebay forum, like it or not banksys work on occasion is hugely political 4. Banksy is unashamedly left in his political views 5. It is possible not to read threads you have no interest in 6. Shutting down debate implies what? 7. Instead of left or right, I'd love it if people were able to say evil or good, put themselves in someone else's position and question if they would like to be treated like that.

Retna โข Say My Name, So You Can See Me , by nex on Oct 25, 2016 23:50:39 GMT 1, I like Retna's work very much but after following him on instgram I can't stand the guy. He's like the Kanye West of the art world right now. We've had this discussion many times on here. The fact is his lifestyle is probably the closest to many of the long since departed great artists than most. That doesn't mean it's acceptable and many of the things he does certainly cross the line and then some, but so have many masters before him. Let's start with Picasso, would you not have his work on your walls, because of the lifestyle he led? 1. It is up to everyone to make their own moral judgments on who they purchase and who they don't 2. If you want to compare artists of different ages you also have to compare their work, Retna is not and never will be comparable to a master 3. Times change CONSIDERABLY to think what was acceptable 50, 100, 200, 300 years ago is somehow comparable to what is acceptable now and then make a value judgment on it, is both illogical and impossible without some carefully crafted thought and research

The Jungle in Calais, by nex on Sept 25, 2016 1:57:26 GMT 1, Surely the world over we need to deal with migrant processing in a humane, fast process and help those in need get to somewhere where they can lead a productive life? The key is ensuring that countries that can take their fair share, do and we all as the human race accept we need to help those in a worse situation than ourselves.

Interesting Art on Instagram, by nex on Sept 16, 2016 0:59:30 GMT 1, On one hand love how Lush truly doesn't give a flying fk and says whatever he wants, most of which is to provoke and get emotional responses which I actually like. ย Also good to see him temporarily away for posting Kardashian and Kanye murals which was getting a bit ridiculous IMO. On the other hand, seems quite a stretch to bash Laz since the bulk of his B works are from working and representing him, most of which was bought direct. Granted he bought at the all time lows and ended up stockpiling the single artist who has year over year outpaced any other in appreciation. You can call it magical intuition, incredible business acumen or just blind luck but definitely not ripping off artists. ย One thing is for sure, Laz gets credit for holding on to a bulk of these pieces when most would have cashed out many years ago.ย Anyway... Still love Lush and almost always brings a smile when he posts. hmmm...Not what I've heardย ย
Care to elaborate?

Pejac โข Linea Print, by nex on Jul 25, 2016 6:37:14 GMT 1, ... this thread has very little to do with the monetary value of the art, and more to do with a member creating a secondary account to instantly flip a piece and getting found out ... and then just digging hole after hole and then trying to deflect ... ... why dont you share your diary from upfest ... what you did ... who you saw ... and what 8mail did? Dappy, I stand by what I said. Thanks for the guidance. I honestly don't need prompts. Good for you coach
