Bad advice from someone I guess... Maybe taking the POW "attitude" a little too seriously perhaps!? Replying to all my Instagram messages about this new print in French and being vague about the details isn't helping me part with €1500 though! i can assure you : every artists , musicians, painters or street artists are nice when they play in London, Ny or LA ( to take the greatest place ) In music it always been that too. They make the « pose « only in France.. Yeah typically French , as we are all complexed by the countries of rock music and streetart !

You’ve been blocked on insta or what ? me yes ! Why ? I asked for stickers ! And I dare to ask some basic flyers ?! Reserved for people - some came at six persons in two cars, from UK buying 40 prints a day - that put money in them. Then it was finished I did not like at all the Dran family and the art. Even if I reckon that some canvas or some little original drawings are great .,. Prints ? Not so much. Anyway , when it’s about big money, every one looks sympathetic and lovely ! We even can hear blue birds singing in Montmartre paved streets 🎶🎼

The last "show" in London didn't do so well though. The one where he painted the walls.

Dear fellow members, your advice is needed please.
If you were me, would you frame the box in order to display what’s inside? If so, I would need to cut the box because I don’t have enough wall space to display the open box, is it worth it?

Do not cut it!!! That’s insane!! I’m framing mine open with the lid supported on reverse...

To be honest, I don’t want to cut the box either. But if I frame the box with the lid open, then the frame will be twice the size of the print. As said, I don’t have such a big wall space to hang it but I really love what’s drawn inside and want to display it. 😰

Dran • Artist Discussion, by Deleted on Mar 19, 2018 18:22:10 GMT 1, how big is the box when its opened up?
can you take a pic with it opened up?
are you framing the print to go with the box?
It's a toughy, possibly look better cut and framed, but value wise?
Good luck with your decision

You could just cut up the box and have an "original on card" on the wall. But the OCD says not to cut up the box!

Dran • Artist Discussion, by yatyat on Mar 19, 2018 18:34:23 GMT 1, The print is 50 x 70 cm and the box is slightly bigger, this means the open box is about 110 x 150 cm. I now have 1 print (3tonnes) that I’ll frame separately, but there’s another stunning piece drawn inside the box, therefore I either have to cut the box or keep it opened in order to display what’s inside.
My concern is not only about the value but the box itself is another piece of art which is specially designed to store the art works, therefore I have reservation.

If glued, could it be heated in order to open and flatten the corners? Would mean you could put it back together at a later date if so.

I think I'd be tempted to unglue the corners, and flatten the sides down... Then fold it back the other way. You might need a paper restorer to do it in a reversible way... and might have to cut the corners... but in theory it might not take much to put it back together, if you ever wanted to (which you probably won't).

Is there the 3t logo or just an empty space when opened up ? I can't picture it either.

It’s only a plain white space when opened.

Because you’d be destroying the pieces integrity and altering how it was originally intended. I can understand that space may be an issue but if that was the case, for me, I’d chose to keep it intact.
Size wise, you’d also struggle to pic up an original this size, on cardboard, for £1300!
This is a great one though so understand why OP wants to display!

Really does look great, much better than the print (am i allowed to say that?) . :-)

Trust me, the print looks much better in flesh, extremely detailed. But I equally love the original inside too.
