I thought about this also and this would be how it is framed if I cut the lid, I believe this would look really nice.

I'd do that 100% ! obviously keep the lid safe and clean too.

Absolutely fabulous. Reminds me of the work he did when he painted inside that building (horribly vague that, I know, but I can’t remember the details).
Edit - Palais de Tokyo

Dran • Artist Discussion, by hollowhills on Mar 19, 2018 22:03:50 GMT 1, Dear fellow members, your advice is needed please. If you were me, would you frame the box in order to display what’s inside? If so, I would need to cut the box because I don’t have enough wall space to display the open box, is it worth it?
Mabey design the frame with no front glass and Insert the closed box and leave it open framed. You will have to open it like a book every time you want to look at the inner image but you will save the structural content of the box. Just an idea.

Lots of effort and money for something you will never open.
Option 1. leave the box intact in a safe place. (Probably under the bed) option 2. Frame it up in its entirety (huge frame/looks a bit weird) option 3. Cut the box, frame it up and enjoy. 😎

One of the reasons why I want to frame the box is that it’s white in colour and can get dirty easily.

Will depend on how many junkies and useless "friends" he will decide to rely on to help develop his career... Not much progress achieved over years I'm sorry to say ... actually has worsen for sure over years unfortunately ... Yes and no Gilles, his work is stronger now than it was a few years back. In regards to management, well, its been worse, and better. Am not privy to that information anyway. Dran seems to have always been doing what he wants despite what is needed for him

Not sure about any show coming up but they have worked on two shows a year lately so I think we should expect something for spring. Lets see.
I'll be careful this time, because I wasn't the biggest fan of the Montmartre show and the way it was done but am curious on what they will pull out this time.

I agree, think the sprayed boxes were always going to be a nice surprise with the print. I was hesitant on pulling the trigger on the print and the sprayed box was never mentioned to close the deal/ sway me :-)
