Does that mean that those pieces haven't sold and he's showing them more than once? Or does it mean that he's bringing a new Bat Papi/Bat Nani set (for example) to each show? If that's the case, are the people shelling out the big bucks for his work (or that of his workers, however we want to describe it) aware that they are buying an editioned canvas, not an original?
Or is he changing the image just enough (different background color, more splatters, what have you) and calling it an original?

The wall with the 18 original canvases "if everyone thought the same, nothing would ever change", was unsold from the Icons show. Also some images on paper format used in the Icons show have been recycled on canvas for the London show.

They've been taking preorders for a week or so and have lowered the price already from ยฃ500. IMO the price should be a ton cheaper i.e ยฃ250.

I am still undecided on MBW tho - his place in art is assured, if just for the Exit film - but some of the stuff was truly crass and overdone, whilst the portraits were well execured ( by other people )
the tomato soup sray is getting a bit weary now though.
