One last post - it's the battle to - hopefully - convince MW to come up with a fresh body of works that will please all his loyal fans and win me back! I'm really outta here! Its no battle fella, its all banter and opinions innit?. Theres no chance this thread will get back on track though. Sorry mate, but it would seem that you have limited knowledge on this artist's body of work and his career to date...Happy to be proved wrong

I hope this makes it a little clearer for you. Ha ha! I feel a cover version/remake mashup coming on.

In my opinion the best use of the tags as part of an art piece was Banksy's Stained Window. That doesn't mean other artists can't do it or other artists have done it before Banksy.
What an awesome print this would be.

Hmmm how would they know that?? Also GP came on here pretty fresh after the drop but only to reserve their hand finished spacers available from that framer...hmmm say what you want but I have already made up my mind on how I feel.

i never intended on putting these online and should have stated that here on the thread (simple mistake) i did say that to 411.
there is no conspiracy here i just forgot to say blue would not be online.
say what you want but there is no under hand dealing here no matter how hard you look.......
it was great customers who bought the four by ringing me or emailing before the drop to ask for them..

Well Done GP! I have my reservations with the carting system as prev expressed, but Great Print Release. The metal version was particularly nice. God Bless MW.

Martin Whatson • Angel Print, by Deleted on Aug 23, 2013 21:34:01 GMT 1, MW has been doing this style for years...before DOLK toy etc. Banksy has even done it: Artists spend years developing their own unique style...when you see a MW you know it's a MW. This is not a fad like people have been suggesting..."wake me up when it's over" etc...it's been around and will be around...it's art that is influenced from the street. Just like when you see one of the million spot prints you know it's a Hirst... Regarding the peeps moaning about missing out... Can everyone please stop using the word 'tagging' to describe Martin's childlike doodles. Like Dolk, Martin knows how to cut a stencil and fill in the holes with spray paint, but 'tagging'? They don't have a single hand-style between them.
Oh really? Well they both speak very highly of YOUR artwork.
I don't see the point of your post, if you don't like MW or Dolks work then why bother to come on here to tell us you think they have no talent?
I can't stand Mr Brainwash but I feel no need to tell everyone this on a MBW thread.

He didnt say they didnt have talent he said they dont have any handstyles and tagging involves handstyles not just the act of making a random mark to give the impression of a tag. This is a fair point. They dont necessarily tag just make marks to enhance their image. Jose Parla tags retna does actual tags of names. What I think he is saying is respect the idea of a real tag and the true idea of graffiti. I dont know their reason for trying to make it look like a tag but I can guess it has something to do them wanting a more graffiti feel. I wont bash them even though I feel that anyone that does try to make a tag in art should have some sort of connection to actually tagging in their history. But as we know that is not the case and in most cases tags or spraypaint sprays are now used as decoration and color thus dillutiing the real power of a handstyle. To each their own but I think he was trying to say this in a more blunt way. Aesthetically I see that a tag or spray adds texture and a nice contrast to the stencil but I do wish more artists would not use it as just a design element. I think its important to respect the idea and power of a tag or fatcap spray. This isnt as bad as realists copying actual graffiti and calling it Urban but it does leave a bad tast in the mouths of actual writers that are proud of years developing their tag and gesture.

Martin Whatson • Angel Print, by Ottomatik on Aug 23, 2013 23:14:44 GMT 1, I did some searching and I thought it was ODD that 411posters.com somehow already knew before the drop that the APs were NOT dropping. Hmmm how would they know that?? Also GP came on here pretty fresh after the drop but only to reserve their hand finished spacers available from that framer...hmmm say what you want but I have already made up my mind on how I feel. let me clear up the sky blue i had five, no.1 i always keep so i only had four to sell. i never intended on putting these online and should have stated that here on the thread (simple mistake) i did say that to 411. there is no conspiracy here i just forgot to say blue would not be online. say what you want but there is no under hand dealing here no matter how hard you look....... it was great customers who bought the four by ringing me or emailing before the drop to ask for them..
Uh, let me refresh your memory:
ALL GO UP thursday around 2pm. white main edition of 125 70cm x 100cm 14 layer/colour screen print at £175. 75 left to go online after the show. aluminium hand finished edition of 5 70cm x 100cm, 15 layer/colour screen print at £800 + a A/P on brass. all 1mm thick aluminium is light brass one is quite heavy. a/p edition with sky blue background edition of 15 70cm x 100cm, 15 layer/colour screen print at £300. colours are much brighter than in the pictures the hand finished metal's are amazing a experiment that went great and worked.

Thinking is just talking but inside your head, when its all full in there you should then talk through your mouth. Are we still talking about Martin Whatsons print?.
I often think that in our lives we are given a certain amount of words to use, once we have used them all up we die,so in that case thinking is best i reckon, whats that called? Buddism or summat.
I managed to find how to turn the ADCD song off on itunes, it wasnt on itunes it was on youtube, thats why i couldnt turn it off.
LOL.

I'm always amused when I say or write a word that I haven't used before. I'm 35 years old, and only said the word "Incisor" for the first time last week. Amazing.
