Abstract Art, by graffuturism on Sept 1, 2014 0:10:17 GMT 1, The Tobias Kroger work looks incredible, really tastly! Agreed. graffuturism do you know any more about him? Where can you buy his work etc? www.store1amsf.com/category_s/138.htm?searching=Y&sort=2&cat=138&show=240&page=1
has a couple of drawings left from the A Major Minority Show his paintings sold I believe.
Tobias is artist I have been following for a couple years now. I first liked his graffiti pieces abstract letterform. I invited him to exhibit for the A Major Minority exhibition earlier this year, and he surprised me with this series of portraits. They ended being some of my favorite pieces from that show.
You can also try to contact the gallery in the initial link.

I am not always a big fan of abstract works, but I do like to explore some parts of that field as well. This is the kind of work that I like.

Abstract Art, by Feral Things on Sept 4, 2014 20:06:57 GMT 1, I've mentioned John Knuth a few post up on this thread but I thought it was worth mentioning that he's got a show entitled 'Base Alchemy' at Emma Grey in Los Angeles. The show opened last weekend and runs though until 10 October 2014.
If anyone's new to his work then here are my haverings from the 'Artist's You Might Not Know' thread: "Knuth is one of my favourite artists at the moment; I find his work very interesting and thought provoking. This particular body of work is produced by feeding food containing pigment to flies. Flies don't have any teeth to break down their food and they therefore effectively vomit on the surfaces to feed and the acidic vomit then breaks down the food so that they can digest it. Because the food they've previously ingested contains pigment when they vomit they leave a tiny coloured dot on the canvas and it's these thousands of tiny, delicate dots which make up these beautiful paintings.
The process involved in producing these beautiful works is deliberately unpleasant and repugnant to provoke wider questions of whether ends justify means. For example, does greater security justify the NSA/GCHQ's invasive surveillance of the population?"

Abstract Art, by Feral Things on Sept 30, 2014 20:39:15 GMT 1, A group show entitled 'Abstract' has just opened at BC Gallery in Berlin featuring, amongst others, Clemens Behr, Teo Moneyless and Stohead (whose work, I think, just keeps getting better and better). The show runs until 1 November 2014.
