I wonder how many people going to one site crashes it? The extended drop and crashing definitely screwed some people, sucks.

He/they could solve this pretty easy if they spent a small amount of money on the site. Not sure why they still use the very old and poor system they have in place. There must be a reason though?

the way I look at it is, he is an in demand artist (and brand) who does a fantastic job of...
-Constantly putting up fresh work in the streets, where it can be seen by many for free
- Consistantly feeding supply to the ample demand at a price point where anyone who wants to own "a Shepard Fairey" can do so at a reasonable price (even if you can't get at source)
- Genuinely trying to find a system to ward off as much flipping as possible. Large print runs, online orders of 1 per person, and staggered release times etc.
If you're in the art/print game for flipping, there's not much $ to be made on Shep prints.

I thought the same thing. Doesn't it risk his 'brand' being tarnished? I think his brand is far from tarnished IMO. Not at all. If anything it strengthens his brand because of his clothing line. That is why he comes out with plenty prints. Oh, and he sells out 98% of the time. Add the fact that he gives people the chance to own his work. In turn gets others to spread his clothing and prints by word of mouth and he is actually a genius. Other artists should take note. Each release these days is getting more and more expensive for most artists and they do not hold value over time. Artists need to work on there branding. |

I've spoken to UPs they' did overcharge. They're only changing me £4.28 VAT now and no admin charge. Will be sending me a cheque. Thanks for the help.
