Like this was tweeted on the 23d: All in all I am just another p*ick on the wall.
And then today's piece was... well, you know.
I'm wondering if maybe the Twitter thing is legit after all. The day before the anthill thing, the twitter feed was: Where anonymity rules puerility will prevail.
Who would argue the anthill thing wasn't puerile?
More to it than just these. Coincidence?

Which I think is a real shame. Fully understand the tagging concept etc but I think that the removal and protection of theses pieces due to that brings about more interesting issues.
Really dislike the museum context for these pieces and would really much prefer they stay in place even if covered in Perspex etc as at least they remain in the street for all to see rather than just the museum demographic viewing them.
Think the tagging issue asks some real questions of the graffiti community just wonder whether it will ask them. Eg they are better than the NYPD vandal unit in getting these pieces removed from the street.

Had never heard of the above artist, just had a look - i cant really see the links to todays piece, BUT i can see a definite link to the work Banksy did of the dancers with toxic waste workers in background (crude oil) for crude oils edit ... ok i looked some more i think i get where your coming from with regards to todays piece. |

Only if you take it completely away from its context. Yes from the point of view that they are both disliked by art critics for being popular with the general public.

Yes def think this show underneath all the hulla balloo has pulled out some interesting reactions and asked some questions of all involved. Will be interesting what its long tern effects are.
