i do like DD, a lot but there can be only 5 and the black and whites are what i'm feeling right now. 21stCL would be way down the list for me, it says nothing to me, complete indifference. the only time i thought it had any purpose was in that photo with one of the olsen twins in front of it. for about two seconds.
micallef's work in colour is a bit hit and miss for me, bomber girl has grown on me so much in six months, GITRD is a classic too. as for all the logos and corporate shit, it's all so very blah now, he's done some awesome work and the cliche'd stuff doesn't, and will not, stand up.

Alot of the coloured laz prints, though lovely looking, I havent seen in the flesh to comment. Of the new ones peacekeeper i find amazing, the minataurs sort of confuse me.

buster i agree about the b/w stuff, the roughness adds so much to the work, also with the japanese inspired works and SMS, the content has a sinister tone to it and the two together just blow me away.
i'm so lucky to have my absolute favourite micallef, wasn't cheap but it certainly was worth it. GIWTTB already seems really familiar to me, a sure sign of a classic, one day i'll get him back - a bigger house first!
i did really like HFUNG and MWIH but they're a bit too easy on the eye. really nice to look at but not enough to keep me interested, one for the wife perhaps.
stuey, i think a bit of time out would do antony some good, he deserves a break too. i think the whole hollywood inspired, american satire work has been done and it's time for the next step. his talent is immense so i hope he can find enough to inspire him and make the most of that talent.
