PLEASE, if you have one and aren't going to wall it, I will do just about anything to frame it and love it forever. Congrats to those who scored and all those who tried. Online drop should be lovely and this offer/plead shall continue through my certain failure. Cheers everyone!

Spent the afternoon waiting, thinking if we head to South Ken they'll move to another location, so best to move to a more accesable location and hope for a second drop only to leave very disappointed. So if you're feeling the Christmas spirit it would be appreciated.

DALeast ๐จ๐ณ Wuhan, China โข Street Art โข Based in Cape Town, by papaneuf on Dec 9, 2012 0:17:49 GMT 1, Just arrived back home after travelling to London for the day, both for some Xmas shopping and in the hope of partaking in this 'game' by streetartnews. I was lucky enough to get a print today, and pleased to have been in the right place at the right time (well, almost). I was in Piccadilly when the first tweet went out that 'Santa' was in South Kensington so I jumped in a taxi and arrived 10 minutes later. I presumed they were heading to the Natural History Museum so I strolled around there looking for Santa. I then received the second tweet, and the exact location of Santa, so after asking a few people where the Albert Memorial Gate was, I legged it there and just got there in time to get one.
SAN gave plenty of time for 'followers' to get to the same area (South Ken) and then it was pretty much a foot race so I wasn't at all surprised that they sold out so quickly, especially seeing some were a little clever than me and were on bikes / in cars.
There's been a lot of negativity on this thread about the release but it is just that, a print release and personally I think it was an interesting and fun way of doing it and by splitting the edition so half will be released online they are also giving non-Londoners a chance to own one. Having said that I appreciate that with every 'in demand' release there will always be an element of negativity and people pissed off because they missed out on buying a piece by an artist they collect or want to buy for financial reasons.
As for the print, it's very nice indeed and congrats to all who were lucky enough to get one and good luck to those who will try online...
Well done SAN, it certainly beat an overnight stay in Shoreditch or sitting at home F5ing on the computer

Had you missed out by 2 minutes do you think you would think exactly the same? Just a general point I observe over all forums, all releases, no matter how stuff gets released.
People who get a print = it's a good way to release them People who don't = it's a bad way.
Just human nature.

What's that work out at about ยฃ630 I'd say a tad more than that IMO. I'd say more like $1200 I wouldn't pay that much for it tbh it will cost that to frame but somebody will.

Miss a print, get vexed about it and complain about the system being unfair. Next moan about them either being on ebay, or point out that none have been listed yet. Finally speculate how many multiples of the original price it will go for... all still while hoping to purchase one.

no love, it was a comment made on a forum that has 10000 members and which relates to most threads based on artwork that has sold out
