I do know that Silky has been in phone contact with Verbal several times and we have his address. The problem is he keeps telling us tomorrow will be the day.

Thanks to everyone for their kind offers to replace or make cash donations but I am determined to get the pieces from Verbal. He has all the cash and all the donations.

loucastel - Silky spoke to him three or four days back (he has phoned him several times). There is nothing wrong other than he has not put the stuff up for auction. He promised to do so immediately and again nothing.

I have defended him again and again. I have made excuse after excuse for him.

I can say no more than this.

No ,you are right Harveyn, he is selling stuff on ebay no problem, so trouble is affoot methinks, go get it mate and dont forget there is a few thousand people on here if you want any help.

Just to let you know, I was the lucky winner of the neate auction and have been keeping an eye on this thread with a degree of concern whilst retaining faith in human nature and a positive outcome. I wanted to let you know that I received the piece this weekend. A little late perhaps but not so bad taking into account Christmas. Therefore I have no reason to believe that all other bidders will not receive their items. To be fair to Verbal, although not exactly pro-active, he nearly always answered the phone and ultimately did what he said he would. I would be amazed if anything untoward were to happen but have to agree that the uncertainty created by the delays and lack of communication is not good for the whole event (although I could understand his reluctance to communicate on this thread now for fear of being torn to shreds). I truly hope and think that it's a case of new business, new home and too many balls to juggle rather than immoral motives.

Hope the rest of the auction gets going soon and I for one would be prepared to bid again.

Great news about the Neate. Unfortunately another member contacted me about not receiving their piece also.

I would hope that everyone would refrain from having a go at Verbal. The main thing is that he posts on this thread and allows me to get the artwork collected.

There should be no bad feeling just a collective effort to move this forward.

Think it would be hard for verbal to post on here now, hope he does tho, as a cyber slapping is all he is going to get..I bear no ill feeling and I doubt others do, so come back verbal!!!

One month exactly since the auction ended and my ebay charity items have arrived safe & sound, feel pretty relieved.

Just wondering about the piece by Neverwork... it's described in the auction as a print but the Charity Results thread has it as spraypaint on card.

Sent a question to verbal via the auction but not had a reply yet - does anyone else know which it is? (particularly Neverwork if he logs on today).
