When I first started collecting I had I big marting whatson painting on thick paper I wanted to flatten so I taped the bloody thing to a board with parcel tape all the way along all 4 edges on the front left it for a few weeks then couldn't take it off So cut about an inch of each edge.
Godnose what I was thinking!

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done to a print?, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Jan 23, 2014 21:35:47 GMT 1, My wife and I bought a signed ltd photograph whist visiting factory 798 (Beijing), she held up the print whilst I marked on the wall, then she move it out of the way whilst i drilled 2 holes. I tuned around to get the wall hooks put my foot on the pillow..'CRUNCH'!! Fuck fuck and double fuck.. I thought the frame was down the side of the bed. It was a mess but couldn't see the damage beneath the shattered glass. The framer did a great job removing it and re framing, only if you look close up you can see a few white spots where glass scraped the photograph... Lesson learned, organise and take your time..

The damage was not too bad but still made me sad....

I received a print that'd obviously been stored rolled for far too long, so the thoughtful sender rolled it in the opposite way round and posted it out to counter any ripples...putting hair line cracks through the print.
Another gem…
My wife was really, really, really lucky and out of hundreds who entered she won a Banksy Applause print at Santas Ghetto… We got it home only to find that it was gaffa-taped to the frame, you'd think they'd know better!
Still I can't complain it was only £1 after all.

I i put it in the boot of my car - the back seats were down as i delivered a framed print i had sold to someone. Anyway, after beaking hard in the car due to someone in front of me, the back seat flew back and i ended up with a big hole right through the center of the Kusama - I was gutted!

I remember all the fuss about packing etc, it arrived in a massive flat ply sandwich, I was careful with it for a couple of months or so then rolled it up and banged it in a tube, every now and then when i look under the bed amongst the tubes etc i open it as forget whats in, it always always flattens out in one second flat and is perfect!, flat pack? pfffft, roll it up!.

Arghhh. No one else can see it but I can see the marks.
