What's the dumbest thing you've ever done to a print?, by mojo on Jun 5, 2014 0:40:10 GMT 1, Wiki info - Blu-tack is a reusable putty-like pressure-sensitive adhesive produced by Bostik, commonly used to attach lightweight objects (such as posters or sheets of paper) to walls or other dry surfaces. Traditionally blue (blu), it is also available in other colours.[1]
The composition of Blu-Tack is a manufacturing secret but is described as a synthetic rubber compound without hazardous properties under normal conditions. It can be swallowed without harm and is noncarcinogenic. It is non-soluble and is denser than water. The material has a flash point of 93 °C / 200 °F, at which it releases carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, water vapour, oxides of nitrogen, and toxic fumes.[1]
In a nutshell not the correct way to display a Banksy screened artwork .......unless it's a WCP fake!

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done to a print?, by shaun on Jun 5, 2014 16:56:35 GMT 1, Google it, hard to explain. Something you can use over and over to stick something to something. It comes as a slab you break a piece of roll it up and stick.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done to a print?, by sky8888 on Jun 20, 2014 22:12:49 GMT 1, It also leaves a greasy mark after you remove it
I always think float mounted pictures (unless they're raised) look like they're stuck on with blu tak

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done to a print?, by South Bound on Jun 21, 2014 2:47:00 GMT 1, This thread makes me feel better about my own silly mistakes... A piece of tape took a little paint off a cheap Fairey print. Nothing in comparison to some of these stories.
thank you for making me feel better

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done to a print?, by davedandconfused on Jun 21, 2014 9:08:49 GMT 1, Put a framed print out in the workshop as I'd hung something else in the house, tiny leak in the roof slowly dripped water on the glass all winter until it had soaked halfway up the print rippling it and bleeding the colour a bit.
Was gutted to begin with, it was one of my first prints, u/s LV Child, but then I thought get over yourself, take it out and iron it, it's not like you're going to make it any worse, it was never meant to be worth loads of money and maybe Chris would even approve of my level of disrespect
