OUTIS • Print Release • Street Art, by dranfan14 on Mar 6, 2014 17:51:45 GMT 1, the best bit would be if down the line it did turn out the be banksy... ok, you didn't say it was banksy but you are certainly hoping and lets not pretend others haven't insinuated the same. I see you missed out the bit after that where I said something along the lines of:

OUTIS • Print Release • Street Art, by graffuturism on Mar 6, 2014 19:26:10 GMT 1, The only reason this thread is still alive is there are no moderators to shut it down obviously or it would be dead long ago, the owners of the print keep bumping the thread with comments and have yet to give up on the fact that somehow maybe, someday, who knows, it could be banksy. While the others that bought the print because they like it dont care regardless and have hung it on their kids walls and moved on. Then you have us who come in for a joke or just cant sit on the sideline when its blatant that some comments are not in line with logic.
This thread killed Outis for most people I would say that were on the fence, now if anyone has been paying attention its easy to see the chain of events. In the real world outside this forum or other forums like it Outis is a nobody because he does not paint in the streets, he does not have any shows coming up, he does not have anything that would resemble the career of an artist. So as collectors those buying a print for this amount of money usually like to know an artist is working and will continue to do so, I see no proof that Outis is doing anything besides counting the money he earned off this print and watching the page tally on this thread. Which is ok, I am glad to be part of the conversation. The longer this goes the more obvious it becomes.

You keep harping on keeping this thread alive I think most people know from previous posts you don't like what we do questioning if whatson sells out etc.
Are you jealous of outis? Disgusted that it sold and people actually bought it. You think we Jedi mind tricked them to press the buy it now button.
We are a print house and like printing and hope people will want to buy them and help lots of artists in the process!
I would not turn someone away on jump up notions like do they spray the streets, are they established, will they be know to the customer etc
No funny enough we look at can they paint a great image and do we think we could sell it.
We don't ever take a photoshop file from any of our artists ever, no print has been made that way from graffiti prints!
There all from originals that's why there so good in our opinion
I don't like all the you must have done this before you can do Y, why must we work to those rules or any rules for that matter
that's one of the reasons I got into streetart in the first place years ago as a collector
You just sound bitter man

Which is ok, I am glad to be part of the conversation. The longer this goes the more obvious it becomes. You keep harping on keeping this thread alive I think most people know from previous posts you don't like what we do questioning if whatson sells out etc. I have read before this release nothing but good things about your prints, my taste in art doesnt align with some of your artists but I never dictate which artist should be more important. I might not be a fan of whatson but hey thats my taste, i dont push that on anyone other than my blog where I usually show artists I appreciate. Are you jealous of outis? Disgusted that it sold and people actually bought it. You think we Jedi mind tricked them to press the buy it now button. Jealous, not really, disgusted not so much, I think surprised would be the word. Its obvious you still have yet to drop the .01 percent banksy claim and that erks me a bit because of how you denied 100% that it was other artists. So maybe the fact that I dont like how you handled that portion keeps me in this thread. We are a print house and like printing and hope people will want to buy them and help lots of artists in the process! Great and if you read back on my last posts no idea why you would put your good reputation on the line for what has turned out to be a marketing ploy. When you seen the feedback right away from people instead of stating you did not support the use of banksy to sell the print you stood quiet and collected the money. Even though Outis was using Banksy as a ploy to sell his work. You had a chance to correct this publicly but instead you chose not to.I would not turn someone away on jump up notions like do they spray the streets, are they established, will they be know to the customer etc. Your confusing my statement, I dont care if every artist paints on the streets or in their studio its the artists prerogative what they do with there career and what rules they want to follow or break. My point is that as an artist you have a set guide of what you are trying to accomplish, IE you want to paint in the studio, you want to drop prints, you want to paint in the streets, you want to do all of the above. And as an artist you engage in these acts with or without the need of anyone's approval. Yet most would argue that even if an artist is rebellious as they come there is a set plan that you could follow the artists work. IE streets, art shows, prints and so forth. I follow many artists and care less if they paint the streets, but I do pay attention to the fact that they are working on new material and furthering their pursuit of creating work. Outis has not done that, and beside you coming on here to represent him there is no reason to believe he even works in the street, in the studio, or anything else. This was my point, that as an artist his career seems to be non-existant and pretty much a one hit wonder. No funny enough we look at can they paint a great image and do we think we could sell it. Great job i applaude you. We don't ever take a photoshop file from any of our artists ever, no print has been made that way from graffiti prints! Again great job! Thus more confirmation you know much more than you stated numerous times about the artist. There all from originals that's why there so good in our opinion. No ones is questioning the quality of your prints only your ethics. I don't like all the you must have done this before you can do Y, why must we work to those rules or any rules for that matter. Yes, yes we get it you like rebels that paint on a street know one knows about that knowone ever seen, then made it a print and he also might be banksy because who knows right. My statement above goes over the fact I could care less about sticking to rules if you read my site you would see that almost every artist is progressive in some manner and has not abide by them also. that's one of the reasons I got into streetart in the first place years ago as a collector. Bravo! You just sound bitter man. Logic sometimes comes across as bitter, I would say I more a realist and although it could come across as bitter I always tell it like it is. I find it refreshing that I can continue to get a rise out of you and that you will stay quiet for pages at a time but come in here when I post. I think when anyone makes a valid argument it is validated by the response. You responding lets me know that I have hit a nerve and that you are coming in here to protect the financial interest of Outis and his next release. Otherwise why would it matter?. To me I dont believe Outis is worth the time you could spend on other artists, but hey we all have our reasons to do things. I am not in a position to tell you where to put your time. I am simply stating my opinion as others have before me and if Outis comes out and becomes a real artist soon than I would be happy for the guy. I support all artists even those that I dont particularly like their aesthetic I stand behind street artists, urban artists, graffiti artists all equally. Outis has yet to show me that he is either one of these. And if he is not that is fine also all art is good, just be honest about who you are and what you do. Is that too much to ask.

You would have the work, you would have the work that the brand has taken decades to establish. Whatever ploy you want to make you cant build a name without work or off the back of another artist. So Outis get out there and do some work like the others before you.

Given that this is a forum celebrating the fact that people go out and freely express themselves by painting illegally on walls, it's odd that you're so up yourself that other peoples opinions can be expressed on this forum.
We get it mate. You hate the image, you hate the way he ripped off Banksy, you hate that other people like it.
I checked out your blog and you obviously like your urban street art to come in photogenic skinny jeans and a cord jacket, preferably with wine tasting on opening night at an expensive gallery. That's ok too, each to their own.

OUTIS • Print Release • Street Art, by graffuturism on Mar 6, 2014 21:53:20 GMT 1, I guess each forum polices itself my experience has always been when a thread has ran its course as this one has many times over it was shut down because of bickering and so forth. But to each his own and I stand corrected.

OUTIS • Print Release • Street Art, by graffuturism on Mar 6, 2014 21:58:37 GMT 1, The only reason this thread is still alive is there are no moderators to shut it down obviously or it would be dead long ago Obviously you live in North Korea or Nazi Germany ? NopeGiven that this is a forum celebrating the fact that people go out and freely express themselves by painting illegally on walls, it's odd that you're so up yourself that other peoples opinions can be expressed on this forum. I have never had any stance against anyone stating their opinion, not sure where you got this. I am ok with all angles being represented. Lets hear more. We get it mate. You hate the image, you hate the way he ripped off Banksy, you hate that other people like it. Never stated I hate the image, I never stated he ripped off banksy even if its obvious I stated as many have also stated he used banksy as a ploy in his marketing. Im ok with people liking art contrary to what you think my stance is against Outis, Im just stating the obvious that as an artist he doesnt seem to be working on anything other than this print release.
I checked out your blog and you obviously like your urban street art to come in photogenic skinny jeans and a cord jacket, preferably with wine tasting on opening night at an expensive gallery. That's ok too, each to their own. This made me laugh, and I appreciate that.

OUTIS • Print Release • Street Art, by Karl Read on Mar 6, 2014 23:04:18 GMT 1, Iv tried to keep quite looking at this thread. When I saw the graffiti prints post " it's 99.9% not Banksy" I didn't think they were trying to fool anyone. Seemed like a tongue and cheek comment to me. I'm surprised people actually thought it was Banksy to be honest.

OUTIS • Print Release • Street Art, by Deleted on Mar 6, 2014 23:33:14 GMT 1, quite frankly I'm tired of Gallery's opinions when it's clear their motive is simply money, people stop sucking up to them and they may actually act with slightly more ethics
