OUTIS • Print Release • Street Art, by Dexter Bulldog on Jul 7, 2015 12:32:21 GMT 1, We had lots of Fun Spotting Subtle References in this work when we were sent the Sprayed Version to scan, a really Powerful Comment on the Irony of Museums and Auction House's Displaying or Selling works from the street never intended for sale.
11 colour screen print on somerset 300 gsm paper . 70 x 52cm - £100 - signed by the artist. edition set by sales in 24 hour period..... n.b - max 2 per person or orders will be refunded.
only 2 per person ?! bummer.. if anyone isnt using all two of their allotted prints, let me know i was hoping to buy 400 of them..

OUTIS • Print Release • Street Art, by Icesay on Jul 7, 2015 13:45:16 GMT 1, I don't mind the image but it takes the p××s not being honest about who the artist is. Why would you hush it up? Either because no-one would buy it or because it would be unpopular or seen as a joke? I buy prints because I like the image not because of who it's by. Come on GP!

We had lots of Fun Spotting Subtle References in this work when we were sent the Sprayed Version to scan, a really Powerful Comment on the Irony of Museums and Auction House's Displaying or Selling works from the street never intended for sale. [...]
There is a beautiful manipulation of language here which has potential to fool many.
Frankness is rarely effective when trying to market an inferior product. Regrettably, therefore, we haven't been offered the fully candid description:
This print is shít. We know it's completely derivative. We're also conscious that even the rip-off itself is poorly executed. But plenty of inexperienced, easily-led consumers will probably still buy it because they don't know any better and because we're biting Banksy's work. That means there's plenty of money for us to make. And to all those who disapprove: "Suck it, you haters."
Instead, the public gets carefully crafted doublespeak: "We had lots of Fun Spotting Subtle References in this work".
I am impressed, at least by the cynicism of the advertising spiel.
The use of the word "subtle" also made me chuckle. I assume that's irony but can't be sure.

Think the hype and misinformation pushed these up to £700 on the last out is release ., just as bad as the water charity at the time playing off banksy. Will probably sell but won't do the the gallery any favours in the future and won't be viewed as a worthy credible street art outlet with this output More about commercialism and profit than getting art out out there in their first spiel. .usually only 1 purchase per customer , 2 on this one ?!
