# WithSyria, by tartarus on Mar 16, 2014 23:53:56 GMT 1, Great image update, and to show solidarity with the people. between this and the water aid and all his other good deeds, i hope he has reconciled the idea that all this fame gives him the most amazing platform to a fairly loud voice of reason and change! Im sure it would be a lot more fulfilling and without all the negativity of just being art! got to applaud anyone who feels idealism over vanity and pure wealth.
So sad they are so few.

Im just wondering if some gallery or artist could do a print or something as a fundraiser, but even then would it do any good?.

Im just wondering if some gallery or artist could do a print or something as a fundraiser, but even then would it do any good?. It would probably be 50 pages and the queue would be visible from space.
It's a tough one. Street artist T-Shirts seem popular for fundraising these days. Prints just seem to cause problems. Stickers?
If (for example) Banksy released this as an unsigned, numbered open edition, the money would be useful for helping refugees, but it doesn't really solve or fix the cause of the problem. Awareness is hugely important, but again, what can the average person do? Money alone can't stop the conflict.
Syria's not even really in the news anymore. It's ridiculous. The world is mad.
This refugee camp in Jordan isn't large enough, so they're building another nearby.

# WithSyria, by doyle on Apr 20, 2014 21:44:38 GMT 1, It's so sad when i read about the people in the City of Homs having to eat grass to survive because medical and humanitarian supplies are in low supply because they are in the thick of it. It is in the news, but you have to look for it, which is why i think this is a great idea on social media, to reach to a wider audience and get involved.

Not sure, raise awareness / aid / funds / funds for aid .... Aside from donating to Oxfam and raising awareness im not sure at all?, maybe someone with a better knowledge of such things can suggest something or provide links etc?. Ive just looked on Syrian Embassy London site but not very successfully......OR
If a person was to have a batch of prints printed (properly) with Banksys 'withsyria' image on (its what he would want hopefully) and then maybe he could somehow sign them?, even a run of 300 at ยฃ500 each, thats 150k for a start straight to the refugees!, less the printing and paper costs of course.

But I agree, never do nothing. There's always something that can be done. Even if you can't fix the problem, you can do something to assist others.
