No you lost all stret cred when you thought, and possibly still do think that the Banksy FB page is an official Banksy page.

I could be wrong but I think he or they are actually refunding both if you ask for the fake Banksy refund. One seems to be automated (the one I reguested) and one seems to be manual about 1 hour later. My Invader/ Faile shirts had a note saying "Refund Issued " and I didnt ask for that order to be refunded. Doesnt matter as I really do not want any of them anymore and I LOVE tshirts.

Lemme see if I got this: It was a massive scam and everyone got refunds. It's not Banksy, never has been, probably isn't Outis either. Huge amounts of anger and bile have been thrown in the streets over this, making it now more well-known than it ever would have been. Which means there are now a number of shirts available and a compelling back-story of intrigue and anger, making the shirts more sought-after because of the whole sordid affair?

Sweet, I'mma order two. I bet I can flip them for fat stacks.

It is amazing to me how many on here are bitching about the inaccuracies of BNE's statements while making inaccurate statements. 

I wish I had the time to address them all.

Short story is he messed up. If you don't like it get a refund. BNE is paying with his reputation already and the recipients of his charitable endeavors who will not benefiting as much from his work in the future are the victims not the lot of us who won't get overpriced shirts with a pic from Banksy on them. 

Get over yourselves and move on with your lives. If you can't help BNE or the charity leave it alone already.

I am sure the dude sold at least 1000 shirts during the time it was up.

For the last time, BNE Organics LLC did not "help the charity." They did damage to it, which is the reason Charity Water has taken legal action against them. BNE is literally costing the charity money at this point. And Charity Water is on our side of the argument, not yours. So stop invoking them as way to justify BNEs t-shirt scam. Some of us actually volunteer time to charity and/or are sustaining members of charitable organizations who don't need a Banksy t-shirt as an impetus to do good.

BNE said he received notices of legal action from Charity Water. We don't know what the details of those notices are though. The point is, Charity Water had to pay a legal team to investigate this scam and serve legal notices. And that ain't cheap.

Again you don't know the history. BNE has been raising funds for this charity for a while now. This wasn't the first event. Before that BNE did direct water projects fund raising. He has done a lot more than I ever have and likely a lot more than most on this board have done to improve the lives of the world's poor. 

The "legal action" the charity is taking is largely a reaction to all the inquiries they have got from people bitching about their precious banksy t-shirts. BNE screwed up. They have to to protect themselves. They are not claiming BNE withheld funds or wronged the charity directly they are just being cautious until they know the facts, as they should. 

We don't know all the facts but it seems that he has screwed up. The people here bitching and going over board are just making things worse. 

If it comes out that BNE was stealing money then go after him after you have those facts. I'm sure paypal is on top of it and will escalate if need be. I don't think that is the case but who knows? For now we know there is a man who has devoted his life to helping others who screwed up in some way. Just what the screw up was and how stupid it was isn't fully known. I would argue that at this stage a witch hunt isn't required. 

Get your refund now and move on with your life. Or better yet prove you could do a better job and raise funds for the charity yourself. Let's say he raised $50k a year. go out and do that for 10 years then come back and bitch. 

Totally agree with you on this one mmmike. But i would like to know how many t-shirts BNE sold. If he over sold (which i think he did) than there is a lot of money missing. 35k does cover the 500 tee's but where is all the other cash? And why is he still selling on his website?
I understand no one can answer these questions except BNE, so i hope he does.

BNE is a straight up guy and did a lot of good his life and has a great rep as an artist. I still think he made a honest mistake and now he is paying for it.

But let's just take a breath and ask for a refund if you want. If not, let it ride and see what will happen. But the most importent thing is that BNE comes clean and gives us the full story and answers a couple of hones questions. Just to clear things up. I am sure the guy is in a rough spot right now and he deserves a break...
